Hazel L. Bone, 86, of Wilmington, died Tuesday morning (Oct. 1, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Bone, who died March 26, 1974.
Mrs. Bone was born Dec. 22, 1913, in Lumberton, daughter of John W. and Anna R. Hazzard Hiatt. She was a member of the Paintersville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Steve H. Bone of Jamestown.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Graveside services only will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William, the Rev. Richard Wright officiating, for anyone wishing to attend. Arrangements are under the direction of NEELD FUNERAL HOME, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.

Zella M. Tissandier
Died: Sunday, September 29, 2002
Age: 99
Zella M. Tissandier, 99, of Blanchester, died Sunday (Sept. 29, 2002) at Continental Manor, Blanchester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Tissandier, who died in 1985.
Mrs. Tissandier was born May 23, 1903, in Lee County, Va., daughter of the late James Tyra and Rebecca Day. She was the grand marshal and queen of the Blanchester Festival in 1990.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Sircle of Lake Placid, Fla.; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Betty Wheeler, Lois Tissandier and Victor Tissandier; two grandchildren; and four sisters.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Charles Tissandier officiating, with burial in Five Mile Cemetery, Brown County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Continental Manor Activities Fund, 820 E. Center St., Blanchester, 45107.
Nancy Elizabeth Long Davison
Died: Friday, September 27, 2002
Age: 76
Nancy Elizabeth Long Davison, 76, of Jamestown, died Friday morning (Sept. 27, 2002) at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Davison.
Mrs. Davison was born Oct. 17, 1925, in Greene County, daughter of the late Homer and Lelia Anderson Long. She was the owner of the Lumberton Restaurant for many years. She retired from Greenwood Manor. She graduated from Spring Valley High School.
She is survived by eight children, Charles R. (Martha) Davison, David A. (Caroline) Davison, Donna M. Robbins, Daniel L. (Becky) Davison, Diane (Philip) Edinger, Donald Davison, Deborah (Charles) Stethem and Denise (Steve) Shaffter; two brothers and four sisters, Robert (Katherine) Long, Ann Williams, Betty (Robert) Amole, Mildred (Gene) Elliott, Helen Pyles and Paul Long; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas R. Davison; a grandson, Mark Davison; two brothers, Philip and Homer Long; and a sister, Lorena Manor.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at McCOLAUGH FUNERAL HOME, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, 45385, the Rev. Donald Trout officiating, with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Main St., Wilmington, 45177.
Jean S. Olinger
Died: Thursday, September 26, 2002
Age: 85
Jean S. Olinger, 85, of Wilmington, died Thursday (Sept. 26, 2002) at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Olinger, who died March 1, 1989. They were married for 48 years.
Mrs. Olinger was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Washington Court House, daughter of the late Virgil and Bessie Warner Sexton. She was a member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church. she was involved in numerous organizations and activities throughout the community.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Mary) Olinger of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara (Dennis) Atley of Sabina and Deborah O. Glenn of Columbus; a sister, Mary (Rollo) Marchant of Washington Court House; seven grandchildren, Jamie Atley, Justin Atley, Christopher Olinger, Shane Olinger, Adrienne (Jason) Holmes, Andrea (fiance James Yagodich) Glenn and Andrew D. Glenn; and a great-grandchild, Brenna Jean Holmes.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Glenn; two brothers, Edward and Charles Sexton; and two sisters-in-law, Caroline Sexton and Gladys Sexton.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Bloomingburg Cemetery, Fayette County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 101 N. Jeannette Bevan
Died: Wednesday, September 25, 2002
Age: 70
Jeannette Bevan, 70, of Clarksville, died Wednesday (Sept. 25, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Bevan. They were married June 18, 1950.
Mrs. Bevan was born April 30, 1932, daughter of the late Virgil and Helen McClure Hodson. She was a member of the Springfield Friends Meeting and attended the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. She graduated with the class of 1950 from Martinsville High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Patty (Doug) Beckett of Clarksville, Lorilla (Richard) Howsman of Leesburg; two sons, Robert (Cynthia) Bevan Jr. of Clarksville and Nick (Cindy) Bevan of Clarksville; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody; and a brother, Charles Hodson.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, with burial in Springfield Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Virginia Brose
Died: Saturday, September 21, 2002
Age: 93
Virginia Brose, 93, of Xenia, formerly of Wilmington, died Saturday (Sept. 21, 2002) at Hospitality Home East in Xenia. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest McKay; and her second husband, Wilmer Brose.
Mrs. Brose was born April 30, 1909, in Clinton County, daughter of the late Elvin and Nellie Curl Hoskins. She was a member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann (James) Ray of Wilmington and Linda (James) Hilterbrandt of Wilmington; two stepdaughters, Betty Sanderson of Dayton and Patty Hull of New Vienna; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Hoskins and Fred Hoskins; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family Wednesday in Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Pastor Mark Putman officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Vera M. Redmon
Died: Wednesday, September 18, 2002
Age: 96
Vera M. Redmon, 96, of Wilmington, died Wednesday (Sept. 18, 2002) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Redmon. They were married Jan. 24, 1929.
Mr. Redmon was born Jan. 30, 1906, in Newport, daughter of the late Andrew Le Roy and Ethel Maude Peterson. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Wilmington. She graduated from Wilmington College.
She is survived by special friends Dr. Douglas and Penny Peters and family.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery, the Rev. Donald K. Mertz officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington.
