Georgia Wiley
Georgia Wiley, 78, of Delaware, died today at Grady Memorial Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Devore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware.

Harold Victor Lowry
Harold Victor Lowry, 90, of Delaware, died Monday (Dec. 5, 2005) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born July 11, 1915 in Stratford to Fred and Gertrude Neds Lowry. He was a lifetime resident of Delaware County. He was a 75-year member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the 3Cs (Civilian Conservation Corps), Delaware County Pioneer Club, Denison Old Timers and NSU Car Club. He was employed by Denison Division, Abex Corp. (now Parker-Denison) for 44 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn and Harry Siculan of Greenville; two sons, Jim and Linda Lowry of Columbus and Lon and Barbara Lowry of Delaware; five grandchildren, Thad and LaVonne Siculan of Arcanum, Darcy and Sean Boston of Arcanum, Heather and Bob Douds of Delaware, F. Lon Lowry II and fiancee Jennifer Darling of Delaware and Michelle L. Lowry of Haddonfield, N.J.; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta and Lee Moyer of Delaware; and two brothers, Fred Lowry of Delaware and Dorrance and Virginia Lowry of Delaware; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Cole of Radnor and Esther Anderson of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah Helen Anderson Lowry, who died on Dec. 23, 1985; and two sisters, Florence Lillian Lowry and Vivian Gray.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home, 32 W. Winter St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, with the Rev. James Leslie officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
Contributions may be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church Building Fund, 55 W. Lincoln Ave., Delaware, OH 43015; MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), 5900 Roche Drive, Columbus, OH 43229; or Willow Brook Christian Village, 100 Willow Brook Way South, Delaware, OH 43015.

Betty Jo Axthelm
Betty Jo Axthelm, 69, of Ashley Road in Cardington, died Saturday (Dec. 17, 2005) at Marion General Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1936 in Westfield Township to the late Guy and Rebecca (Edwards) Crump. She graduated in 1954 from Elm Valley High School and was a member of West Oxford Methodist Church, a Hospice volunteer, the secretary elect of the Morrow County Antique Tractor Club, a former secretary of Delaware County Antique Tractor Club, a member of the Marion County Steam and Gas Engine Society and the Ashley-Elm Valley Alumni Association. She was married Dec. 25, 1953 in Ashley to Edward F. Axthelm, who survives in Cardington.
She is also survived by her sons, Jon and Beverly Axthelm and Jay Axthelm of Cardington; three grandchildren, Jonda, Jayson, and Jeffrey; sisters, Ada Logue of Ashville and Martha Adams of Ashley; brother-in-law, Fred Axthelm, of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Axthelm of Waldo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Axthelm; a baby daughter; and a brother-in-law, Roger Axthelm.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gompf Funeral Home, Cardington. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Rob Musick officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Union Cemetery.

Glen Daniels
Glen Daniels, 72, died Friday (Dec. 23, 2005) at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.
He was born Sept. 3, 1933 in Gage, Ky., to the late Rueben James and Zola (Rowe) McDaniels. He owned and operated Indian Lake Tree Service for 30 years and was retired from excavating as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of AMVETS Post 39 of Lakeview and Moose Lodge 1533 of Indian Lake. He was a Browns Backer at Brother’s Bar & Grill in Lakeview and a member of Friends Serving Friends.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Beverley Anne Daniels; two sons, Jaymes (Candace) Daniels of Urbana and Shannon “Kish” Glenn Daniels of Bellefontaine; three daughters, Jodi (David) Bayless of Delaware, Teanda Ray Daniels of Lakeview and Soliann “Petey” Glenn Daniels of Bellefontaine; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Emmett McDaniels; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie C., John Wesley and Jesse James Daniels; and two sisters, Cora McInnis and an infant sister, Elizabeth.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. James Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Robert N. Lower
Robert N. Lower, 80, of Delaware, died unexpectedly Friday evening (Dec. 23, 2005) in the emergency room at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1925 in Salem to the late Floyd and Hazel (Newman) Lower. He was a retired claims supervisor for Transamerica Insurance and a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Worthington and the American Legion (Columbiana Post). He had resided in Lisbon, Columbiana and had lived in Delaware for the past 16 years.
He is survived by daughters, Susan (Robert) Glover of Centerville, Va., Rebecca (Jack) Brickner of Delaware, and Kathy (Burt) Lowe of Richmond, Va.; a son, Jim (Cathy) Lower of Columbus; grandchildren, Jason, Janna, Vickie, John, Emily, Becca, Matthew, Mark and Thomas; and a sister, Ruth Sedor of Salem.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary D. Lower, on April 19, 2004; a sister, Helen Eileen Marguart; and a brother, Harold Lower.
Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Lisbon Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Betsy Schenk officiating.

Shirley Miller
Shirley Miller, 68, formerly of Lewis Center, died Friday (Dec. 23, 2005), following an extended illness at the Heartland of Centerburg.
She was born March 19, 1937 in Greenville to Raymond Mills and Elsie James. A homemaker and a resident of Delaware County since 1977, she was a member of the Delaware Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Red Hat Society, and was a longtime Grady Memorial Hospital volunteer. In addition to volunteering, she crocheted and donated countless baby blankets to newborns and their families.
She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (David) Kegley of Delaware; son, Michael (Deborah) Ray of Orbisonia, Pa.; grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Kegley of Delaware and Jimmy Toy of Lewis Center; and a sister, Janice (John) Thompson of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Stephen Miller.
Visiting hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rodman Bennett Brown Funeral Home, 92 N. Sandusky St., where a funeral service will follow at 6 p.m., with Bishop Converse of the Delaware Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Pastor Donnie Akers of the Eastside Mission officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Carolyn Kay Williams
Carolyn Kay Williams, 68, of Manasquan, N.J., died on Saturday (Dec. 24, 2005) at the Geraldine Thompson Nursing Home in Wall, N.J.
She was a homemaker and a former member of the future homemakers club in Delaware. She was also a former member of the Old Stone Presbyterian Church.
She was a dedicated mother and very active in 4-H.
She was born and raised in Delaware. Recently, however, she lived in Silver Springs, Fla., before moving to Manasquan.
She is survived by her son Frank P. Williams, of Eaton; daughter and son-in-law Margaret Williams and William Giunco Jr. of Manasquan; father Dale E. Willey of Lawton, Mich.; sister Mary Alice Gregory of Lawton, Mich. and two grandchildren, William Douglas and Christina Grace Giunco.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Douglas Williams, in 1996 and her mother Eula “Dutch” Willey.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, Highway 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall, N.J., followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Old Stone Presbyterian Church, Hodges Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015.

Edith M. Belcher
Edith M. Belcher, 84, of Sparta, died early Monday morning, (Dec. 26, 2005) at Heartland of Centerburg. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229, Marengo, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Rob Musick officiating. Interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 634445, Cincinnati, OH 45263-4445.

Granville V. Sharp Jr.
Granville V. Sharp Jr., 88, formerly of Pataskala, died Monday evening (Dec. 26, 2005) at Delaware Court in Delaware. Arrangements are pending with the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.

Peggy Fields
Peggy Lou Kegley Fields, 76, of Delaware, died Monday (Jan. 2, 2006) at the Sarah Moore Home.
She was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Finney, Va., the daughter of the late Bowen and Destie Kegley. She moved to Ohio more than 25 years ago. She was a small business owner most of her life. In Ohio, she co-owned the Cheshire Market and later managed the business until her retirement. She was well known for her home-cooked lunches at the market and people came from all around for her fare. She was always happiest when cooking for others.
She is survived by a son, John Fields and his wife Kathy of Rutledge, Tenn.; two daughters, Judy Ray of Delaware and Mona Rayburn and husband Brian of Ashley; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Fields Jr.; three sisters, Betty Dye, Jewell Smith and Violet Artrip; and one brother, Miles Kegley.
Funeral services were held in Honaker, Va., on Jan. 5.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Sarah Moore Home for the care and love they provided her.
Contributions may be made to the Sarah Moore Home, 26 N. Union St., Delaware, OH 43015 with funds to go toward the Peggy L. Fields Memorial Gift.

Melissa Raquel (Moehring) Gaines
Melissa Raquel (Moehring) Gaines, 25, of Delaware and formerly of Hilliard, died suddenly Friday (Jan. 6, 2006).
She graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School with honors in 1998 and was a 2002 graduate of the Ohio State University. She was employed by the Delaware County Bank. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Miranda; parents, Bryan and Melody Moehring; sister, Heather Moehring; grandparents, Ann Moehring and Ruth and Charles Montgomery; a niece, Molly Ann Champ; father-in-law, Robert (Cheri) Gaines of Ashley; and mother-in-law, Nancy Gaines of Delaware; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ralph Moehring; and aunts, Melissa and Debra.
Visiting hours were Jan. 9 and the funeral service was held today at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Interment was in Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
