John J. Morrissey
John J. Morrissey, 63 of Marengo and fomerly of Marion, died Saturday (Feb. 25, 2006) at Morrow County Hospital, Mount Gilead.
He was born May 13, 1942 to the late Charles and Helen (McNamara) Morrissey. He married Linda F. (Fraley) on Dec. 30, 1982 in Marion and she survives in Marengo. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a sheer operator with the former Glenwood Range/Amana for 24 years.
He also is survived by his son, John Joseph Morrissey II of Kenton; six daughters, Paula Marie Dick, Vickie L. (Ivan) Dick and Ruth K. Morrissey, all of Kenton, Audrey Havranek of Marengo, Mary A. Morrissey and Kelly Jo Tillman, both of Kenton; a sister, Pat Hall, of New Jersey, 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carlton E. Jenkins Jr.; two brothers; one sister; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Boyd Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St., Marion, where a memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Ricky Lee Stidam
Ricky Lee Stidam, 43, of Delaware, died suddenly Saturday evening (Feb. 25, 2006) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 20, 1962 in Corpus Christy, Texas, to the late Richard “Jack” and Betty Lou (Ward) Stidam. A resident of Delaware since 1969, his life evolved around his children and family. However, music was a close second as he was a true musician. He could play any instrument and organized several bands. He was most proud of his group “Midnight Riders,” fellow musicians whom he taught and organized to play classic southern rock. Described as a wonderful cook, southern style, he enjoyed building muscle cars, his favorite being a Pearl White 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. He collected eagles, also possessed a green thumb for growing or nurturing things and had a passion for Harley Davidsons, especially when he was on his fully dressed 1972 FLH.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Cindy Mayes, whom he married Oct. 2, 1980; children, Ricky L. II (Jessica) Stidam, Joshua Lewis (Katreena) Stidam and Angela Stidam; grandchildren, Breanna Michelle Stidam, Dillon Lee Stidam, Caden Fox and Taeler Potts, all of Delaware; one brother, Tony (Janice) Stidam of Ostrander; two sisters, Tammy (Tony) McWherter and Beth Ann Stidam of Delaware; four nephews, Storm, Ben, Brody Stidam and Tyrease McWherter; one niece, Ashlie M. Stidam; numerous aunts and uncles; parents-in-law, Helen “Ma” Mayes Stone and Robert Stone of Delaware; and numerous fellow musicians and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., where services will follow at 8 p.m., with Pastor Dwight Cimino officiating.

Brock Anthony Van Scyoc
Brock Anthony Van Scyoc, 18, of Leesburg, died Thursday (Feb. 23, 2006) as a result of an auto accident.
He was born Sept. 8, 1987 in Delaware to Ronald Van Scyoc and Jeanne Daugherty. He was a senior at Hillsboro High School and loved dirt bike racing.
He is survived by his father, Ronald (Nickie) Van Scyoc of Grove City; his mother, Jeanne (Greg) Yant of Delaware; paternal grandmother, Trudie (Brad VanWinkle) Van Scyoc of Leesburg; paternal grandfather, Ronald (Melinda) Van Scyoc of Westerville; maternal grandparents, Virginia and Harold Daugherty of Delaware; maternal stepgrandparents, Jim and Patsy Yant of Delware; three sisters, Brittany and Tesla Yant of Delaware and Kristen Van Scyoc of Grove City; three brothers, Brennan and Gregory Yant of Delaware and Matthew Van Scyoc of Grove City; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Samantha Free Will Baptist Church, Ohio 62, Hillsboro, and from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 92 N. Sandusky St., where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Ashley Union Cemetery.

Edythe Mae Jones Weber
Edythe Mae Jones Weber, 94, a former Delaware resident living in Toledo, died Saturday evening (Feb. 26, 2006) at the Lutheran Home of Toledo.
She was born April 16, 1911 in Columbus to Ralph Cameron and Vera Valetta (Gray) Manly. She was a 1930 graduate of Bexley High School, where she was a member of the school’s first women’s basketball team. She was a volunteer for Jane Case (Grady Memorial) Hospital and the Red Cross and was involved with raising funds for various Delaware school activities. She was a member of the William Street United Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling and entertaining, especially for the Little Brown Jug races. She left Delaware in 1978 for Pompano Beach, Fla., until 2001 when she moved to Toledo.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Appel of Worthington and Connie Maguire of Toledo; five grandchildren, Shelly (Fred) Reese, Deborah Landers, Michael (Karen) Maguire, Julie (Jeff) Clements and Jeff (Heather) Appel; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, William “Bud” Manly of Reynoldsburg; and a sister, Josephine Schultz of Pendleton, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, H. Lloyd Jones in 1978; her second husband, Henry Weber; and a sister, Leona Thomas.
Visitation is from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral services Wednesday at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Chapel, 92 N. Sandusky St., where the Rev. Sharon Beattie will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Joseph Driscoll
Joseph Driscoll, 59, of Sunbury, died unexpectedly Monday morning (Feb. 27, 2006) at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville. Arrangements will be announced by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.

Paul Edward Lanham
Paul Edward Lanham, 66, of Grove City, died Monday morning (Feb. 27, 2006) at his residence. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Elmer Ball officiating. Interment will follow in the Trenton Cemetery.

Frank Marriott
Frank Marriott, 77, formerly of Delaware, died early this morning (Feb. 28, 2006) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Arrangements will be announced by Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Chapel, Delaware.

Shirley Jean Dunahue
Shirley Jean Dunahue, 68, of Delaware and formerly of Kenton, died Sunday (April 2, 2006) at the Arbors at Delaware.
She was born March 4, 1938 in Kenton to Boyd H. and Ruth Anna (Lawrence) Myers. She married Marvin E. Dunahue in March 1956 in Kenton and he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1999. She was an employee of the former Woolworth Co., of Kenton, a manager for Tupperware Inc. and also worked for the United States Census Bureau. She was a member of First Christian Church of Kenton and Keys of Faith Circle of First Christian Church, was a volunteer at Hardin Memorial Hospital and was a member of the hospital guild. She loved to collect cookbooks and decorate cakes.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Jose Viri) Dunahue of Ostrander and Gary (Tami) Dunahue of Kenton; one daughter, Joni (Jack) Rensig of Kenton; six grandchildren, Ryan and Drew Rensig, Benjamin and Kaliegh Dunahue, Christine Dunahue and Matthew Viri; three great-grandchildren, Alexis and Micheal Rensig and Haley Hastings; one sister, Mary Jane (Charles) Smith of Kenton; and one brother, William (Vivian) Myers of Athens, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednsday at Price Funeral Home, Kenton, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Scott Johnson and Pastor Rose Michael officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Lelah Mary Perry Hoke
Lelah Mary Perry Hoke, 89, of Chandler, Ariz., died March 12, 2004 in Arizona after a brief hospitalization.
She was born Dec. 5, 1914 in Oxford Township to Sarah Jane Keeton Perry and Early McMaster Perry. She attended Ashley High School and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1936. She taught high school briefly in Portsmouth before marrying her college sweetheart, Ralph Hoke, on June 25, 1939. After her marriage to Ralph, she lived in Ithaca, N.Y., Wilbraham, Mass., Evans City, Pa., Fair Oaks, Calif., Fairbanks, Ala., Myrtle Point, Ore. and Sun Lakes, Ariz. She was a drama minor in college, loved the theater and also enjoyed attending music concerts. She was actively involved in church activities and maintained affiliation with several of her churches. She was a member of the Ohio Wesleyan Alumnae Association and the American Association of University Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane H. Little of Sacramento, Calif. and Carolyn Hoke-Van Orden of San Francisco; five grandchildren, Mark, James and Sean Little, and Vanessa and Derek Van Orden; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Breanne, Christopher and Katelynn Little.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph, who died after a battle with cancer in 1995; one son, Charles Hoke, who died in 1966; and three siblings, Francis Perry, Ralph Perry and Ruth Perry Williamson.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Greenmound Cemetery in Kilbourne. Rodman Bennett Brown Funeral Home, 92 N. Sandusky St., is handling arrangements.

Alda M. Johnston
Alda M. Johnston, 82, of Ostrander, died Tuesday (Aug. 10, 2004) in Delaware Court Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 1, 1922 in Scioto Township to Thomas and Cella (Baker) Hayes. She graduated from Bellpoint High School in 1939. She was a lifetime resident of Scioto Township and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl; a sister, Lucille Durrett of Ostrander; a brother, Robert Hayes of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Calvin and Russell Hayes.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home, 32 W. Winter St. A graveside service and interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Ostrander, at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Frank Robinson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1105 Mount Vernon Ave., Marion, OH 43302.

Deloris Jackson
Deloris Jackson, 81, of Delaware, died early this morning (Aug. 11, 2004) at the Arbors at Delaware. Arrangements will be announced by Rodman Bennett Brown Funeral Home.

Leona Rockfield
Leona Rockfield, 81, of Delaware, died unexpectedly Tuesday (Aug. 10, 2004) at Grady Memorial Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Rodman Bennett Brown Funeral Home & Crematory.

Richard E. Clunk
Richard E. Clunk, 58, died Sunday (Oct. 10, 2004) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 31, 1946 in Marion to the late Harold W. and Bernice M. (Jeffers) Clunk. He married Carolyn Russell Jan. 8, 1967. He was former owner/operator of Dari Point for 12 years, former manager of Bucyrus Farm Credit Association and former vice president of Marion Farm Credit Association, for a total of 14 years with the FCA, a member of Green Camp United Methodist Church and the Vintage Auto Club in Delaware.
He is survived by his wife, of Delaware; two sons, Larry J. Clunk, based in Aviano, Italy, and Alan E. Clunk, San Diego; one granddaughter, Mikayla of Aviano; one brother, Robert W. (Mary Catherine) Clunk of Green Camp; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Nancy Ratz officiating. Burial will be in Green Camp Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, OH 43201.

Dorothy Ann Lyons
Dorothy Ann Lyons, 91, of Lilburn, Ga., formerly of Delaware, died Sunday evening (Oct. 10, 2004) at New London Health Care Facility in Snellville, Ga.
She was born Oct. 17, 1912 in Delaware to George “Bun” and Bertha (Buchmann) Parker. She graduated magna cum laude from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati and was a homemaker and member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching the Ohio State University Buckeyes football team and reading. She had been a Delaware area resident until 1996, when she moved to Georgia to be with her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Don Frintner of Lilburn; a son and daughter-in-law, Bernard “Barney” and Debra Lyons of Marietta; two grandchildren, Michael Frintner and Keri Childers; and five great-grandchildren, Vivian and Rebekah Frintner, Mickey Ballor, and Jacob and Justin Parker Childers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bernard A. “Bus” Lyons; and a brother and sister-in-law, James G. and Harriett Strohm Parker.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Kevin Kavanagh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Legacy Campaign, St. Mary’s Building Fund, 82 E. William St., Delaware, OH 43015.
