Helen Virginia Skaggs
Helen Virginia Skaggs, 76, of Delaware, died Monday evening (Oct. 11, 2004) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 1, 1928 in Worthington, Ky., to John and Fannie Boggs Friley. A resident of Delaware since 1994, she enjoyed her family, friends and Georgetown Drive neighborhood.
She is survived by daughters, Patty Maynard of Delaware and Faye (Tom) Cramer of Ravenna; grandchildren, Melanie Williams, David Cramer, Jamie Maynard, and Tony Maynard; great-grandchildren Phillip Williams, Benjamin Williams and Kailyn Maynard; and brothers, Charles Friley of Ironton, Ky., and William Friley of Wurtland, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; a son, James; a sister, Jewell Dillow; and brothers, Clifford, Cecil and Paul Friley.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Rodman Bennett Brown Funeral Home, 92 N. Sandusky St., and at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwood, Ky., from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery.

Marguerite Benedict
Marguerite Benedict, 78, of Ashley, died at her home Monday evening (Dec. 6, 2004).
She was born Feb. 21, 1926 in Hyatts to the late Arthur and Florence (Johnston) Covrett. A 1946 graduate of Hyatts High School, she was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. Gentle in nature, she was a farm wife and homemaker. A member of the former Women Knights of Pythias in Waldo and Delaware County Farm Bureau, she collected salt and pepper shakers, and enjoyed flower gardening, especially raising tulips.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Shirley Benedict of Ashley; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Lowell Morrow of Delaware; two grandsons, Charles F. (Amanda) and Bryan M.; a great-granddaughter, Caitlin; three brothers, Harold (Margaret), Norman (Phyllis) and Russell Covrett, all of Delaware; two sisters, Janet Jackson of Delaware, and Carol (Ed) Pharris of Pensacola, Fla.; nieces, nephews, and longtime family friend, Terry Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles S. Benedict, on Feb. 8, 2003; a brother, Melvin; and three sisters, Millie Levings, Delores Kroninger and Sandra Covrett.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, at the intersection of Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Linda Reid-Teele officiating. Interment will follow in Green Mound Cemetery.

Freddy A. Krinn
Freddy A. Krinn, 54, of Sunbury, died Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 7, 2004) in the Hospice Room of Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 9, 1950 in Westerville to the late Joe and Mary (Coffill) Krinn. A U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, he was a lifelong area resident, and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Trucco Construction. He attended Condit Presbyterian Church. He worked hard and enjoyed his 1979 Malibu Low Rider Wagon, but his family was his first concern.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Phyllis “Bobbie” Krinn; children, Thedy (Dave) Braskett of Galena, Rexanna Lane of Sunbury, Lloyd (Julie) Lane of Westerville, Tina (Curt) Holycross of New Albany and Alvin Krinn of Sunbury; three grandchildren, David, Austin and Mason; two expected grandchildren; one great-grandson, Collen; two brothers, Joe (Christy) Krinn of Sunbury and Bob Krinn of Delaware; and two sisters, Sharon (Sherm) Pearson of Longwood, Fla., and Karen (Dana) Hendrickson of Westerville.
Graveside services were held today in Sunbury Memorial Park, with the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. A gathering of friends took place at the family home following the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.

Ann R. Daugherty
Ann R. Daugherty, 68, of Richwood, died Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2005) at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
She was born July 10, 1936 in Kenton to the late George Lowell Robinson and Georgia Eileen Evans Robinson. She married William Daugherty on June 3, 1956. She worked as a mammographer at Smith Clinic of Marion and Delaware. She was a very active member of the Richwood First United Methodist Church for 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, William of Richwood; two daughters, Paula (Larry) Moore of Richwood, and Debi (Jerry) Allison of Land O’ Lakes, Fla.; one son, Scot Daugherty of Kenton; one daughter-in-law, Donna (Kevin) Stegner of Delaware; nine grandchildren, Matt, Mike and Mark Moore, James and Margret Seymore, Caroline Allison, Samantha Steinmetz, Caine Daugherty and Adam Daugherty-Stegner; two step-grandchildren, Megan and Matt Stegner; one sister, Jane (Gary) Kuckel of Estero, Fla.; and one brother, Joseph (Sharon) Robinson of Pinehurst, N.C.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jon Lowell Daugherty.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m Thursday at Richwood First United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Joseph Rea officiating.

Harry 'Jake' Paver Jr.
Harry 'Jake' Paver Jr., 77, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Monday (Jan. 31, 2005) in the intensive care unit at Memorial Hospital of Union County with his loved ones at his side.
He was born Oct. 31, 1927 in Allen Center to the late Harry and Lela Overacker Paver Sr. He was a boiler operator at Nestles for nearly 45 years. He was a 1945 graduate of Allen Center High School and was a former member of the Marysville Moose Lodge No. 1651. He enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake Erie and Indian Lake and had been an active bowler with the Nestles League and the Sunset League in Bellefontaine. His family was a source of tremendous pride and he loved being involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 54 years, Phyllis Smith Paver, to whom he was married on June 26, 1950 in the home of the Rev. Forsythe at Broadway; two sons, Don (Linda) Paver of Raymond, and Larry (Linda) Paver of Marysville; five grandchildren, Rusty (Michelle) Paver, Ben Paver, Bruce (Jody) Paver, Amber (Josh) Noble and Larry (Traci) Paver; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Paver of Marysville, Ted (Delores) Paver of Hartford City, Ind., and John (Gwen) Paver of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Dolly Gibson of El Paso, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Noble; and two sisters, Ruth Rider and Clara Mae Ford.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mannasmith Funeral Home, 621 W. Fifth St., Marysville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Seeyong Lee and the Rev. Marty Scheckler officiating. Burial will be in Raymond Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.

Thomas J. 'Tom' Gallagher
Thomas J. 'Tom' Gallagher, 76, of Delaware, died early this morning (Feb. 2, 2005) at Wintersong Village Nursing Facility. Arrangements are pending with the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home.

Charles Mitchell
Charles Mitchell, 77, of Delaware and formerly of Ostrander, died Tuesday night (Feb. 1, 2005) at Grady Memorial Hospital. Arrangements will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home.

Randy L. Clemons
Randy L. Clemons, 49, of Cardington, died Sunday (March 6, 2005) in the emergency room at the Morrow County Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1955 to Leonard and Virginia (Ault) Clemons, who survive in Cardington. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a certified technician for repairs on wheel chairs and scooters. He had a love for motorcycles, NASCAR and wrestling. He also had lots of courage.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his soul mate and best friend, Jinny Clemons of North Lewisburg; three daughters, Angie Clemons of Powell, Ashley Morgan of Kentucky, and Harley Swinning of Bellefontaine; two grandsons, Austin and Alec Clemons, at home; one brother and his wife, Ron and Joyce Clemons of Cardington; four sisters and their husbands, Pam Payne of Mount Gilead, Patricia Rae and Ralph Oberkonz of Columbus, Robyn and Jeff Ruble of Belle Center, and Rhonda Dee and Steve Maples of Marengo.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 S. Center St,, Cardington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Phil Hurlbert officiating. Burial will follow in Fulton Cemetery. Full military honors will be observed.

Marilyn Haines
Marilyn Haines, 80, of Delaware and formerly of Galion, died early Monday evening (March 7, 2005). She had been in excellent health until the evening prior to her death.
She was born in Akron on Dec. 4, 1924, the only daughter of Ralph and Helen Boughton. She graduated from Heidelberg College in 1946 and married Robert Haines of Tiffin later that same year. She and her family lived in Galion for many years. She was an active member of the Galion United Church of Christ and many other community organizations. In 1999, she and Bob relocated to Willow Brook Christian Village, where they continued to enjoy retirement. She was involved in a variety of volunteer positions and enjoyed several literary organizations in the Delaware area. Most recently, she was a member of the Westerville Community United Church of Christ. Teaching elementary school, both for Ontario and Galion school districts, was her lifelong career, but being a mother and wife was her love. She liked nothing better than having her whole family together to share in a special occasion.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie Haines of Cleveland, and Sharman and Garry Heberer of Spring Creek, Nev.; one son and daughter-in-law, Quentin and Jane Haines of Westerville; three grandchildren, Joshua Gulick of Nevada, Sarah Crail of Toledo, and Allison Haines of Westerville; sister-in-law, Terry Boughton of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on June 8, 2002; and three brothers, Bill, Roger and Jack.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home, 92 N. Sandusky St. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 County Line Road, Westerville.

Robert William Wolfe
Robert William Wolfe, 80, died Tuesday (March 8, 2005).
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II and was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver of many years, Linda; children, Janis (Alfredo Barrientos) Miller and Steven (Kathy) Wolfe; grandchildren, Gail Miller, Alan Miller, Jody Miller and William Wolfe; and his sister, Margaret “Peggy” (Mike) Cosentino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Naomi Wolfe.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Glenford, with Pastor Karen Alsnaur and Pastor William Weber co-officiating.

Josephine W. Lee Johns, 81, of Delaware, died Tuesday evening (March 8, 2005) at Willow Brook Christian Home in Columbus. Arrangements will be announced by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home.

Norma Jean Viderman
Norma Jean Viderman, 80, of Marengo, died at her residence this morning (March 9, 2005). Arrangements will be announced by the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.

Ariel Marie Flick, 7 and Valerie Michelle Flick, 5
Ariel Marie Flick, 7 and Valerie Michelle Flick, 5, died Friday (April 29, 2005) at the scene of an automobile accident.
Ariel was born Aug. 25, 1997 in Delaware and Valerie was born Jan. 11, 2000 in Delaware to Todd Lee and Brandi Michelle (Adams) Flick of Galion. Ariel was a second-grader at Whetstone Elementary School. Both girls were members of Gospel Baptist Church and the church’s Awana Club. Both loved animals, especially horses, enjoyed people and made everyone feel special.
They are survived by their parents; maternal grandparents, Bish and Brenda Adams of Ashley; paternal grandparents, David and Kay Flick of Galion; maternal great-grandfather, Bill J. Harding of Ashley; a sister, Michelle Lee Flick at home; aunts and uncles, Jerud Adams of Delaware, Jei D. Flick of Mansfield, Chantel K. Flick of Toledo, and Troy J. Flick of Galion; and many great-aunts and great-uncles.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gospel Baptist Church, 5670 Ohio 19, Galion, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Monty Trammel officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
Memorial donations may be made to the church.
Arrangements were handled by Stofcheck Funeral Home, 210 S. High St., LaRue, OH 43332.
