Steven Kaiser
Steven W. Kaiser, 37, Galena, died suddenly Saturday (Dec. 5, 1998) at St. Ann's Hospital.
He was born Dec. 24, 1960, in Galena to Hazel (Davenport) Hoyer, Galena, and Charles D. Kaiser Sr., Rosharon, Texas. He was a lifelong area resident of Galena. He owned and operated Trimax Cleaning System and worked at America West Airlines. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid golfer andwas member of Moose Lodge No. 11.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Ruth (Bevelhymer) Kaiser; two daughters, Sunshine A. Kaiser of Franklin Furnace and Amanda N. Kaiser of Gahanna; three brothers, Charles D. Kaiser Jr. of Columbus, Lloyd M. Kaiser of Monroe, Mich., and Joe Kaiser of Galena; his mother-in-law, Margaret Bevelhymer; and nieces, nephews and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Earl and Sylvia Kaiser and Arthur and Vivian Davenport.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Wayne Booth officiating. Interment was in Cheshire Cemetery.

Hubert Kazee
Hubert L. Kazee, 81, formerly of Marengo, died on Saturday (Jan. 22, 2000) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
He was born on May 13, 1918, in Blaine, Ky., to the late John and Alma Sparks Kazee.
A veteran of the United States Army in World War II, he was a press operator for Caskey Cleaners and a member of American Legion Post No. 710, Marengo, and Nelson Campbell VFW Post No. 8045, Mount Gilead.
Surviving are his wife, Julia C. (Zyvonski) Kazee; four daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Neff, Patricia Sizelove and Brenda Speakman, all of Columbus, and Victoria and the Rev. Jerry Sims, Madison, W. Va.; a stepson and spouse, Robert and Mary Walsh, Columbus; a brother and sister-in-law, Henry H. and Annabelle Kazee, Marengo; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Wanda J. Stewart, who died in 1997.
Calling hours were held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Jerry Sims officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the American Legion Post No. 710 followed in Marengo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Julia Kazee
Julia C. Kazee, 90, formerly of Marengo and Columbus, died late Saturday evening (Oct. 7, 2000) at The Village of Westerville.
Born on June 7, 1910, in Murray City, she was a retired press operator for Arrons Cleaners, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and American Legion Post 710 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert; a daughter, Wanda J. Stewart; three brothers, John, Andy, and Louis Zyvonoski; and two sisters, Vicky Zyvonoski and Mary Hoffman.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mary Walsh of Columbus; four stepdaughters and spouses, Barbara Neff, Patricia Sizelove, and Brenda Speakman, all of Columbus, and Victoria and Jerry Sims of Madison, Wis.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Wednesday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo, where funeral services were held immediately following visitation. Interment was in Marengo Cemetery.
Wilma Kazee
Wilma Jean Kazee, 66, of Marengo, died unexpectedly Friday morning (Aug. 18, 2000) in the emergency room of Morrow County Hospital.
Born on Oct. 20, 1934, to the late Juanita and Clovis Noe, she moved to Marengo from Columbus in 1972 and was retired from the banquet and housekeeping departments of Hilton Hotels, Columbus.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ron and Darcy Kazee and Don and Judy Kazee of Marengo, and Duane Kazee of Toledo; three grandchildren, Shalynn, Jenn, and Leah; three great-grandchildren, Kayli, Eden, and Ron; two brothers, Bobby and Billy; and two sisters, Freda and Penny.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Kazee in 1984 and her grandson Kristian Kazee.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo, where services followed. Interment was in Marengo Cemetery.
Scott Kauffman
Scott A. Kauffman, 42, Westerville, died on Tuesday (June 18, 2002) at home.
He was a member of Logos Bible Church and retired from the United States Navy.
Surviving are his loving wife, Kari; his mother, Pat Kauffman of Baltimore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Michael DeWitt of Gahanna and Barbara and Kevin Jonard of Pickerington; his father, Robert Kauffman of New Albany; six nieces and nephews; special pets Adam, Eve, Junior, Chester, Sammy, Max and Peter; and his family at Logos Bible Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chris.
Visitation was held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville. A memorial service was held at Logos Bible Church, Reynoldsburg, with Pastors John Chase and Michael Roddy officiating.
Interment was in Sunset Cemetery.
Linda L. Kaufman
Linda L. Kaufman, 61, Sunbury, died Monday (August 6, 2001) at Morning View Care Center, Sunbury.
She was born in Portsmouth on July 1, 1940 to the late Wilbur and Margaret (Turvey) Allen.
Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Keith and Wallene Werner of Sunbury and Timothy Kaufman of Cleveland; grandchildren Matthew and Kaitlin Werner; and by sisters Eleanor North of Portsmouth and Freda Smith of Gahanna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Kaufman in June 1989, and a brother, Ray Allen.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Graveside services were held tat Sunbury Memorial Park.

Dorothy E. Keeler
Dorothy E. Keeler, 89, Sunbury, died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at Morning View Care Center, Condit.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1909, in Columbus to the late Howard and Bernice (Auld) Johnston. An area resident since 1949, she was a homemaker, a 49-year member of Condit Presbyterian Church, a Sunday school teacher for 30 years and a member of the Friendly Club and Helping Hands Sewing Circle.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zelmer S. Keeler in 1975; a brother, Jack Johnston; and a sister, Mildred Ries.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Patricia Keeler, Delaware, and David Z. and Sharon Keeler, Estes Park, Colo.; a sister, Virginia Alford, Tucson, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Alice Poly, Columbus; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at at Condit Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. The family greeted friends after the service. No calling hours will be observed. A private interment for the family was held at Trenton Cemetery.

Catherine M. Keene
Catherine M. Keene, age 42, of Sunbury, died unexpectedly Aug. 12, 1998 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born on May 17, 1956 in Anchorage, Alaska, to the late Bernard Thompson and Barbara (Rinker) Spencer of Delaware. She was a graduate of Delaware Hayes High School, Class of 1974, and was attending Columbus State Community College. Mrs. Keene moved to Delaware in 1967 and had been a Sunbury resident since 1989. She worked as an accounting manager for Safety Solutions of Dublin. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, and enjoyed gardening and collecting angels.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Keene is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jim; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Norman "Tad" Sears of Columbus, and Michelle and Chris Strawser of Delaware; grandchildren Dylan and Natalie Strawser; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana and Gary McGothlin of Delaware; Ruth and Dale Mulford of Haines, AK, Elizabeth Crawford and Carolyn Nicholes of New Dover, and Margaret and Todd McCrae of Delaware; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Thompson of Prospect; step-brother, Walter Thompson of Delaware; mother-in-law, Clara Keene of Sunbury; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, the Rev. James Crichton officiating.

Edwin H. Keener
Edwin H. Keener, 81, Marengo, died Wednesday (Feb. 23, 2000) at his home.
He was born in Columbus on Sept. 10, 1918, and was the son of the late Edwin R. and Neta Spring Keener.
He worked as a cabinet maker for J.S. Maclean until he retired. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Marble Cliff and Marengo American Legion Post No. 710.
He is survived by a daughter, Claudia Greshler, West Los Angeles; two brothers, Robert Keener, Columbus, and Donald Keener, Raleigh, N.C.; and a sister, Lois Yarbarough, Chillicothe; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Private graveside services were held at Stantontown Cemtery. Arrangements were handled by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.
Margaret E. Kerr
Margaret E. Stauffer Kerr, 90, of Sunbury and formerly of Lima, died Tuesday evening (November 26, 2002) at Morning View Care Center, Sunbury.
She was born in Lima on July 14, 1912, to the late George and Gladys Pepple Emlich. Margaret had worked in the shipping department of the former Davidson Enamel Corporation, Lima, and as a housekeeper. She lived in the Lima area until moving to Detroit, Michigan, in 1962, and then to Sunbury in 1999. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, cooking and helping people.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Mitchell Stauffer Sr. and Robert Kerr; her stepdaughters and son-in-law, Linda Garrettson and Georganna and Jim Armstrong; and a sister, Bernice Kerr.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Madalyn Stauffer Jr. of Sunbury; two stepdaughters, Sally Dubiel and Pamela Atkison, both of Michigan; four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Catharine and Dale Armstrong of Arizona.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, and at the Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Lima, where funeral services followed with the Rev. Richard Sheffield officiating.
Interment was in Memorial Cemetery, Lima.
