John F. Kuhn
John F. Kuhn Sr., 64, died Friday (Dec. 26, 1997) at home with his loving family after a brief illness.
A graduate of Aquinas High School, he was a member of St. Patrick's Church, St. John Neumann's mens club, the Sunbury VFW post 8763, and his country club. He retired as a contractor after 35 years and also from the Ohio Building Authority.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Carl Kuhn.
Surviving are his wife, Monica, of the home; his mother, Lenore; sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr. and Jacque, Mark and Charlene, Joseph and Dell Ann, Matthew and Ilene, Todd Feazel, Andy, Mike Feazel, and James; daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and Willie Weaver and Amy Feazel; nineteen grandchildren, John, Adam, David, Allan, Kasey, Joe, Jessica, Courtney, Mark, Charlie, Nick, Jason, Justin, Jacque, Tommy, Bryan, Butch, Joe, and Monica; a great-grandson, Trevor; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Sam Allen; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joanne Kuhn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held with a prayer service at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held on Monday at St. John Neumann. Interment was in Sunbury Memorial Park.

Larry Lahmon
Larry F. Lahmon, 49, Sunbury, died Saturday afternoon (Nov. 21, 1998) at his home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1949 in Delaware, to Donald and Ollie (Fegley) Lahmon. He was a life-long Delaware County resident.
Lahmon, a graduate of Bowling Green State University, was a district director's representative for the collection division of the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of Stratford-St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Linda Ann (Peterson) Lahmon; a stepbrother and his wife, Richard and Barbara Williams of Ashley; a stepsister and her husband, Darlene and Ray Jaycox of LaPorte, Ind.; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Carolyn and Gnyle Mosher of Agougna, Calif., and Judy and John Burtyk of Reynoldsburg; three brothers-in-law and two spouses, Carl Peterson of Cardington, Mark and Debbie Peterson of Hudson, Fla., and Roger and Kay Peterson of Sedalia, Mo.; special nephews Kevin, John, and Brandon Burtyk; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends, Marc and Alice Davis of Los Angeles. His mother died June 15, 1994. His father died Sept. 17, 1998.
Visiting hours were held at Bennett-Brown Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral services were held at Stratford-St. Paul's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Carrieré officiating. Burial was in Berkshire Cemetery.

"Peggy" Erma M. Landis
"Peggy" Erma M. Landis, 66, Marengo, died at her home early Tuesday (January 8, 2002) following an extended illness.
Landis was born on August 16, 1935 in Obetz and had been a homemaker in the Marengo area for 40 years. She attended Victory Freewill Baptist Church of Marengo and the Centerburg Enterprise Baptist Church.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crafts, crocheting, knitting and collected porcelain birds.
Landis is survived by her husband of 42 years, Randell Landis; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Becky Landis of Cardington; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickey and Melvin Stiffler of Marengo; six grandchildren, Melvin, Malinda, Angie, Sarah, Aaron and Meriah; a great-grandson, Ty; three sisters, Joann Lell, Betty Clark and Starline Newland; and a brother, Robert McDole.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Tom McDole, and two sisters, Patty Armentrout and Margie Weaver.
Friends may call today (Thursday, January 10, 2002) from noon to 2 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 229, Marengo, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastors Brad Duncan and Rolland Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Marengo Cemetery.

Geraldine Landy
Geraldine (Gerry) B. Landy passed away peacefully on Thursday (July 24, 2000) in Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Roseville, Calif., with her family present.
She fought a courageous battle with chronic lung disease and never gave up. She was a beautiful, caring, and fun-loving lady who touched everyone she met. She actively played golf, was an active member of the Sun City Roseville Women's Golf Club, and a past member of the Lawrence Links Women's golf club. She graduated from Big Walnut High School.
Surviving are her devoted husband, John Landy of Sun City; two sons, John S. Landy and Robert B. Landy; two daughters, Pamela S. Harrison and Mary E. Landy; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Arnold Hall, Norman Hall of Pennsylvania, Richard Hall of New Mexico, and Robert Hall of Florida; and three sisters, Jean Leaf and Joann Sheets, both of Ohio, and Sharon Klamfoth of Iowa.
Visitation was at Cochrane's Chapel of the Roses, Roseville, Calif., where funeral services were.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Dolly C. Lane
Dolly C. Lane, 90, Sunbury, died Friday evening (April 27, 2001) at Morning View Care Center, Sunbury following an extended illness.
She was born in Columbus on November 13, 1910 to the late Harry and Catherine Haag. She was a graduate of Columbus Central High School.
A Sunbury-area resident since 1950, the homemaker enjoyed her children, grandchildren, gardening, needlework and cooking. She was a member of Condit Presbyterian Church.
Lane is survived by a son, Ellis E. (Sally) Lane of Sunbury; a daughter, Stella C. Morton of Sunbury; four grandchildren, Annette (Estelito) Moraleja, Steve (Heather) Lane, Dean (Mary) Pettit and Jody (Randy) Keller; 11 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Michael, Marisa, Devin Morleja, Trever and Brody Lane, Justin, Bradley, Anthony, Danielle Pettit and Jenna Keller.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Ellis W. Lane in 1969; a brother, Harry Haag; and a sister, Agnes Swope.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury where funeral services were held with the Reverend Carol Weiss officiating. Interment was in Trenton Cemetery.

Erdene Lane
A. Erdene Lane, age 77, of Galena, died early Monday morning at home following an extended illness.
She was born March 20, 1921, in Galena to the late Edward J. and Almeda (Rhoads) Buck. She graduated from Mifflin High School and was a homemaker. She lived in Mount Vernon from 1950 to 1966, but was a resident of the Galena-Sunbury area the rest of her life.
Whe was a member of Condit Presbyterian Church, the Sunbury Piece Corps Quilters, Women's Advance Club, and the Village Garden Club.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 year, George Lane; a soon and daughter-in-law, Don and Lisa Lane of Cincinnati; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Brian Howlett of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; her grandchildren, Lawrence and Michael Howlett and Douglas and Brian Lane; and her sister, Virginia Ihle, of Sunbury.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold E. Buck; and three sisters, Regina "Jo" Miller, Louise Wolfe, and Mary Kate Mitchell.
Funeral services were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. Interment was in Trenton Cemetery.

Robert F. Lane
Robert F. Lane, 81, of Sunbury, died on Monday (Jan. 12, 1998) at his residence.
Born in Sunbury on Nov. 18, 1916, he was the son of the late Vinnie (Fisher) Lane and Fenton Lane. Formerly employed by and the treasurer of Delaware County Mutual Insurance, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of New Bethel Christian Union Church, a member of the Farm Bureau, a former board member of Croton Bank, and attended Condit Presbyterian Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma L. Lane.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bill Moody of Fredricktown; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sharon Lane of Sunbury; a brother, George Lane of Galena; a sister, Margaret Kletrovets of Hilliard; two grandchildren, Bart Moody and Robin McClay; and one great-grandson, Ben McClay.
Visitation was at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home, where services were held on Thursday with the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. Interment will be at Trenton Cemetery in Condit.

Robert A. "Bob" LaRoche Sr.
Robert A "Bob" LaRoche Sr., 75, Sunbury, died unexpectedly Monday evening (January 28, 2002) in the emergency room at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 27, 1926 in Vanlue, Ohio to the late Charles and Grace (Nowlan) LaRoche. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Bob worked 43 years for the Pennsylvania, Penn Central and Conrail railroads, starting as a fireman/brakeman and working the majority of his career as a freight conductor.
A member of the First Baptist Church of Sunbury, he enjoyed the outdoors, woodcutting, numerous hobbies and had a keen interest for engineered items. Robert was a good husband, father, grandfather and a hard worker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy (Sparkman); a son, Bobby Jr. (Katrina) of Lewis Center; two daughters, Valerie (Gary) VanHoose of Gahanna and Michelle (Frank) Reinhard of Delaware; six grandchildren; a brother, James (Helen) LaRoche of Easton, Pennsylvania; a sister, Marianne Williams of Tucson, Arizona; and by many family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Russell, and a sister, Elizabeth Peart.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 and Ohio 61, Sunbury where funeral services were held Friday with Pastor Larry Griffin officiating.
Interment will follow in Northlawn Memory Gardens.

Marion C. Larson
Marion C. Larson, 89, Columbus, died Friday (November 23, 2001) at the Forum at Knightsbridge.
She was born October 8, 1912 in Columbus to the late Edd and Maude Miller Crawford. Marion was a graduate of the Columbus North High School class of 1930 and The Ohio State University.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lewis P. Larson, and her aunt, Edith Miller.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry ("Mr. High School Sports") and Jeanne Larson of Columbus; step-grandchildren Matt (Stella) Studer of Columbus and Liza (Glenn) Cassidy of Phoenix, Arizona; and by step-great-grandchildren Sarah and Madeline Studer.
Marion was a lifetime member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Phi Mu Sorority and the Saturday Music Club.
Visitation was at Rutherford Funeral Home, Columbus, where services were held. Interment was in Union Cemetery.

Joseph Lassak
Joseph S. Lassak, 86, Welch, West Virginia, died on Saturday (May 13, 2000).
He is survived by his wife Betty and his son Skip of Sunbury.
Calling hours were at the Fanning Funeral Home in Welch. Services were at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial was at Monte Vista Cemetery in Princeton, WV.
