Larry F. Luthi
Larry F. Luthi, 58, Sunbury died Wednesday (February 7, 2001) in Sunbury.
Luthi was born on February 11, 1942 in Gahanna to the late Ruben W. and Beryl J. (Poe) Luthi. A lifelong area resident, he was a 1960 graduate of Big Walnut High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He retired in 1997 after working 26 years as a press operator for GE Abrasives in Worthington. He was the Blackhawk Golf Course champion in 1977 and 1979 and a member of VFW Post #8736 of Sunbury.
Larry enjoyed golfing, playing pool, studying the Civil War, fishing, hunting and his 1979 black Corvette.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kari Jacoby Luthi; a son, Luke; sisters, Dorothy (Rupert) Froelich of Falls Church, Virginia, Mitzi (Tom) Barnett of Sunbury, and Eva Gossard and Carol VanHorn of Las Vegas, Nevada; and by nieces and nephews.
Luthi was preceded in death by brothers Jack, Bill and Paul and by sisters Lois Cantrell and Sarah Luthi.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services were held with the Dr. Richard D. Ellsworth officiating. Interment was in Galena Cemetery with Military Honors.

Pearl F. Luthi
Pearl F. Luthi, 65, Sunbury, died unexpectedly Monday (August 6, 2001) at Bennington Glen in Marengo.
She was born on February 13, 1936 in Danleton, Kentucky to the late John and Ema Keaton Danner. The homemaker moved to the Sunbury area in 1980 from Columbus.
Luthi is survived by a son, Shawn Luthi of Delaware; a daughter, Lois Mae "Kim" (Sam) Osborne of Marengo; two granddaughters, Airian and Brooke; one grandson, Joshua; two brothers, Arnold and Willard of Wurtland, Kentucky; three sisters, Sarah Gavin, Martha Picklesimer and Vina Thompson of Wurtland, Kentucky; and by special friends, Johanna Courtwright, Karen Baker and Kim and John.
She was preceded in death by husband of 23 years, William James Luthi in 1979; three sisters, Flora M. Hale in 1993, Nora Barbe and Ora Bright; and by one brother, John Danner.
Friends called at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury where funeral services will be held with Pastor Tony Watson officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
Juanita Lynn
Juanita "Skeeter" Clifford Lynn, 67, Delaware, died Friday (March 2, 2001) at her residence.
Born on January 5, 1934, in Delaware to Byron and Mabel (Williams) Clifford, she was a lifelong Delaware resident and retired from National City Bank. She was also a longtime employee of Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra and George Hoffman of Westerville and Candi Meade of Sunbury; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Gene Hayner and Mary Jo and Charles Hurdzan, all of Westerville, and Carolyn and Cliff Reiss of Wisconsin, and Janet and Ron Poulton of Delaware; three grandchildren, Brian, Karrie and Nelson; and a close friend, Mark Bauer.
Visitation was held at Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home, Delaware, where a memorial service was held with the Rev. David Trout officiating.

Mary R. Lynn
Mary R. Lynn, 37, of Westerville, died Sunday morning (October 13, 2002) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Fayette County.
She was born in Salem on August 1, 1965, to the late John Lewis and Sandy (Swartz) Lewis of Galena. A member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Columbus, she was co-owner and manager of the Sunbury Country Store.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother, John Lewis III of Columbus; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Dave Grubbs of Galena, JoAnn and Forrest Pitman of Greenville, and Kathleen and Scott Hildebrand of Piqua; and a grandmother, Rose Swartz of Salem.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where memorial services were held with Father Charles Cotton officiating.
Interment was in Cheshire Cemetery.
Violet Mabry
Violet M. Storer (Moore) Mabry, 58, of Marengo, died Sunday (Oct. 25, 1998) at Whispering Hills Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon.
She was born on June 12, 1940, in Marion to the late Melvin Dutton and Ester Storer. She was a homemaker and had spent the majority of her life in the Columbus area. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Alfred "Christopher" Moore of Columbus and Dee John Mabry of Columbus; two daughters, Cheryl Ragor of Fredericktown and Tamara Puttick of Marengo; five stepsons, Ray Moore of Kentucky, Jerry Moore of California, and Douglas, Roger, and Gregory Moore, all of Columbus; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Virgil and Lydia Dutton of Marengo, James and Alfreda Storer of Cardington, Paul R. and Betty Storer of Marengo, William and Sarah Storer of Cardington, and Larry Storer of Warrensburg, Mo.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Donna Phillips of Marion, Kathleen and Richard Baughman, and Linda and Dell Downer of Cardington; 35 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Eleanor Moore; a stepson, Gary Moore; two grandsons, Gregory Moore Jr. and Gary Moore Jr.; two brothers, John and Jack Storer; and a sister, Betty Storer.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Steve Phillips officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Cemetery, Marion.
Kathryn Mahoney
Kathryn Mahoney, 87, Sunbury, died Saturday (September 28, 2002) at Delaware Court.
She was born on August 15, 1915, in McCutchenville to the late Fred L. and Julia B. (Gintert) Tanner and moved to Delaware County from Columbus in 1950. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and a 35-year member of Berlin Child Conservation League.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis S. Mahoney; three brothers, Ralph, Walter and Earl Tanner; three sisters, Esther Hotelling, Mildred Lowery and Edith Wickiser; and a great-grandchild, Jeremy.
Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and Don Wilcox of Sunbury, Mary and Everett Knutson of Gilbert, Arizona, Patricia and Michael Snyder of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Elizabeth and Gary Calsin of South Lyon, Michigan; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas and Diana Mahoney of Galena, and Charles Mahoney of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers Fred Tanner of McCutchenville and Dale Tanner of Vanlue; and a sister, Louise Pahl of Carey.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Neumann Church with Father Jim Walter as celebrant. Graveside services were held in St. Mary Cemetery, Delaware.

Mary Ellen Main
Mary Ellen Main, 86, Sunbury, died unexpectedly on Tuesday (December 3, 2002) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
She was born on March 15, 1916, in Sunbury to the late Webb C. and Ella M. Kempton Matthews. A member of the Sunbury High School Class of 1934, she was a homemaker and assisted her husband with the operation of Main Trucking for 49 years. She enjoyed the family cottage in the West Harbor area of Lake Erie for 40 years, and was a member of Vans Valley Community Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward K. Matthews; and three sisters, Ethel Plunkett, Alice Pendleton and Florence Fisher.
Surviving are her husband of almost 65 years, Charles A. Main; daughters and sons-in-law, Peg and Jim Parker of Lancaster and Mary Lou and Don Debolt of Bradenton, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Deb Main of Round Rock, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jon Parker of Lancaster, Andrew Parker of Toledo, Wendy Johnson of Andover, Minnesota, Jody Bourassa of Baldwinville, Massachusetts, Scott Debolt of Westerville, Chad and Mark Main of Round Rock, Texas, and Todd Main of Dayton; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Harold Holmes officiating.
Interment followed in Sunbury Memorial Park.

Scott A. Marks
Scott A. Marks, 42, Sunbury, died Wednesday (Feb. 24, 1999) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
He was a design engineer for Art Glo, Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Grise) Marks, daughters, Amanda and Elizabeth, and son, Matthew, all of Sunbury; parents Robert and Dee (Hughes) Marks, Johnstown; one brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Janet Marks, Johnstown; one sister, Penny Stagg, Johnstown; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours were at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home, Johnstown. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown.
Kevin Marsee
Kevin Shawn Marsee, 35, Columbus, died unexpectedly Thursday (August 5, 1999) at his home.
He was born in Columbus on Nov. 13, 1963, to the late Robert M. and Mary (Mills) Marsee.
He was a graduate of Beechcroft High School. Mr. Marsee worked as an electronic engineer.
He is survived by a son, Sean A. Marsee, Galena; a sister and brother-in-law, Andra and Dr. Gordon Johnson, Greer, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, R. Michael and Kim Marsee, Groveport.
Memorial services were held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were handled by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
James Martin
James E. Martin, 89, Delaware, died Tuesday (Jan. 12, 1999) at Morning View Care Center, Centerburg.
He was born May 30, 1909, in Rehoboth to the late James G. and Nancy J. (Allen) Martin. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and lived in Columbus before moving to Delaware County to be with his children. He worked as an inspector for Columbus Auto Parts before retiring.
He is survived by sons, Eugene Martin, Westerville, and Paul G, Martin, Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and James Cain, Delaware; and eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside funeral services were at Rehoboth Cemetery, Rehoboth. Arrangements were handled by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
