Nick Mulbach
Nick J. Muhlbach, 74 of Galena, died unexpectedly at home early Saturday morning (May 15, 1999).
Born on July 26, 1922 in Vassar, Michigan. He was a graduate of Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. Nick moved to the Sunbury/Galena area in 1952 from Michigan. He was a retired civil engineer, member of the St. Paul Catholic Church of Westerville, the Sunbury Golf League and a former member of the Westerville bowling league. He enjoyed gardening, snow skiing and golfing.
He is survived by hs wife of 20 years, Kathleen (Cox); son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Deborah Muhlbach of Delaware; daughters Anne and Mary Muhlbach of Toronto; step-sons and daughters-n-law, Joseph Caito of Akron, Christopher and Cherie Caito of Galena, Geoff and Cheryl Caito of Galena; step-daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Richard Gnepper of Homewood, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; sister Barbara Chape of Vassar, Michigan and special friends Warner, Dick and Ray.
Preceded in death by brothers Steve and Joe and sister Katherine Muhlbach.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury. Funeral Mass was held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Westerville. Interment at Eastview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital.
Margaret I. Muncy
Margaret I. Muncy, 66, Centerburg, died Saturday (Sept. 25, 1999) at her residence.
She was born in Lockbourne on Dec. 31, 1932, to the late Frank Lee and Beatrice Avenell (Rapp) Castle.
She was a member of the Central Ohio Bluegrass Association.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Terri and Hubert Johnston, Reynoldsburg, Brenda Richter, Chesterville, and Rhonda and Terry Horn, Centerburg; two sons, Roderick and Michael Daniels, Columbus; one brother, Robert Castle,Columbus; three sisters, Stella Long, Granville, Karen Romans, Columbus, and Sonja Haynes, Wayne, W.Va.; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tammy Horn; two brothers, Donald and Marion Lee; and two sisters, Betty Hildebrand and Mary Patterson.
Memorial services were held with the Rev. Marvin C. Gassman officiating. Arrangements were handled by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.
Donna Murfield
Donna Mae Murfield, 63, of Delaware, died on Sunday (June 18, 2000) at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1937, in Hibbing, Minn., to the late Charles and Ann Strafaccia. She was a homemaker and moved to Delaware 42 years ago from Minnesota. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and bowled in the Delaware Lanes Homemakers League. She also collected clocks and enjoyed playing euchre.
She is survived by her son, John A. Murfield of Delaware; a brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Betty Strafaccia of Woodbury, Minn.; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Ann and George Johanix of Spring Lake Park, Minn., and Carol and Marv Waara of Minnesota; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Robert and Joan Murfield, Charles and Helen Murfield, Tom and Marilyn Murfield, and Michael and David Murfield, all of Delaware, and James and Sue Murfield of Springfield; sisters-in-law Winifred Workman, Barbara Housler, and Karen Lynn Faircloth all of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Murfield on Aug. 17, 1990; brothers-in-law George Murfield and Carl Faircloth; and sister-in-law Catherine Murfield.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary Church with the Rev. Kevin Kavanaugh Celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mary Murphy
Mary Agnes Murphy, 99 of Sunbury, died last Thursday (Jan. 28, 1999) at Cancio Family Homes in Condit.
She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Groveport and present member of St. John Neuman Catholic Church in Sunbury.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Murphy. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James M. and Anita Murphy of Alba, Texas and Charles E. and Suzanne Murphy of Sunbury; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother, William Marshall Julick of San Diego and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the Moreland Funeral Home in Westerville, and a funeral mass was at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel with Father James A. Walter officiating. Graveside service was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne.
Steven N. Muter
Steven N. Muter, 46, of Centerburg, died at his home early Thursday morning (March 19, 1998).
He was born Aug. 19, 1951, in Memphis, Tenn. to Robert E. and Jacquelyn (Galloway) Muter of St. Vincent, West Indies. He moved to Cennterburg from Columbus 10 years ago, and was a housekeeper for Worthington Christian Village.
He was a member and elder of Milford Church of Christ, Centerburg, and had served 11 years in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia A. (Dusz) Muter; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill Nicole and Albert Bailey of Grayson, Ky.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel L. and Marla Muter of Pittsburg, Kan., and James A. and Linda Muter of Hilliard.
Services were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, with the Reverends Russell Waddell and Darin Pratt officiating. Internment was in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.

Edith M. Myers
Edith M. Myers, 78, Sunbury, died Thursday (Jan. 28, 1999).
She was born March 21, 1920, in Kent, England, the daughter of the late George and Mary Ann Akers Hyland.
Mrs. Myers served in the Royal Air Force in England during World War II. She moved to Sunbury from Columbus in 1960. She worked for Ohio Bell, Columbus, until her retirement.
She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church; Young Budd American Legion Post #171, Galena; and Worthington Moose Lodge. She had served as president of the Women of the Moose and the Women's Auxiliary of the Legion.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Burrell Denune and Barbara and Gary Geng, all of Sunbury; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Elaine Myers, Sunbury; and 10 grandchildren, James, Charles and Laura Denune, Nathan, Mark and Sarah Myers and Jody, Robin, Melinda and Megan Geng.
Her husband, Walter D. Myers, preceded her in death in 1976. Eight brothers and four sisters also are deceased.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with the Revs. James A. Walter and David Gwinner officiating. Burial was in Sunbury Memorial Park.
Gregory Myers
Gregory Myers, 58, died Friday (September 21, 2001) at his residence at the Villa's of St. Therese. He was a retired employee of Myers Surveying Company, a member of the Mercury Owners Club, Shamrock Club and an avid Ohio State fan.
He is survived by a son, Greg (Debi) Myers of Sunbury; five brothers, A.J. (Mary) of Bexley, Roger (Ann) of Tucson, Arizona, Andrew (Marilyn) of Bexley, Joseph (Anne) of Bexley and Christopher (Beth) Myers of Bexley; three sisters, Anne Rideout of Columbus, Monica (Russ) Carynski of Park Ridge, Illinois and Emily (Jim) Rice of Apache Junction, Arizona; many nieces and nephews; and by two aunts, Mary (Richard) Best of Lyndhurst, Ohio and Irene Farley of Bexley.
Friends called at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street, Columbus. Prayer service at Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catharine Church, 500 South Gould Road, Columbus. Private burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Steven Nagy
Steven J. Nagy III, 59, Marengo, died unexpectedly Thursday (Jan. 13, 2000) at St. Ann's Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 18, 1940, in Kapolnaxnye, Fejer, Hungary, to the late Istvan Jozeff and Vilma Sara (Morocza) Nagy.
He came to the United States in 1957 and was a resident of the Marengo area since 1976, coming from Columbus. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the USS Independence. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 710 and UFCW No. 1059. He was employed as a meat cutter for Kroger for over 30 years, most recently working at the Maxtown store.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Penny (Hutchins) Nagy, who he married on May 14, 1966, in Dublin; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven J., IV, and Susan Nagy, Dublin; a daughter, Suzanne Nagy, Marion; a brother, Antal Nagy, Gardony, Hungary; a sister, Katalin Nagy, Hungary; a brother-in-law, Michael Hutchins, Columbus; two grandchildren; and an uncle.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Barbara Cunningham officiating. Burial followed in the Marengo Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post No. 710.

Doris Neptune
Doris O. Kirkpatrick Neptune, 95, died Sunday (Nov. 1, 1998).
She was born in Sunbury and moved to Akron in 1922. She lived most of her life in the Akron and Cuyahoga Falls areas, and was a member of First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, J. Everett Neptune and Walter Kirkpatrick; her son Edwin Kirkparick, and daughter-in-law Lucille Kirkpatrick.
She is survived by grandaughter Kristi Kirkpatrick of Akron and granddaughter and husband Karen and Todd Jones; great-grandsons J.D. and Jonathon Jones of Green; step-daughters Catherine Justham and Elizabeth Carver of Akron; four step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Services were at Billow Falls Chapel, with the Rev. Donald G. Baird officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund, 2253 Third St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
Helen Nicholson
Helen M. Nicholson, 46, Marengo, died Monday (Sept. 13, 1999) at her home following a 2 1/2 month battle with cancer.
She was born on March 6, 1953, in Mount Gilead, and was a member of the Highland High School Class of 1971. For the past 14 years, she worked as a cook and custodian in the Highland school system, and was very active in the youth programs of Highland schools. She attended Fargo Wesleyan Church, collected baskets and enjoyed car shows.
She was preceded in death by her father, Merrill Weaver.
Surviving are her loving husband of 28 years, Marion "Ed" Nicholson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nichole and Neil Robinson and Amber Nicholson, all of Marengo; her mother, Lillian (Nininger) Weaver; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Mary Ruth and Lynn Penn, Garland, Texas, Linda and Sam Wilson, Mae Weaver, Denise and John Pennington and Crystal and John Shoemaker, all of Marengo; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Bonnie and Ken and Diane, all of Marengo, Ray and Carol, Jackson, Mich., Willie and Carolyn, Sunbury, and Sam and Gayle and Keith and Chris, all of Centerburg; four granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were at Fargo Wesleyan Church, Marengo. A memorial service followed. A private interment for the family was held in Butter Cemetery. DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, is assisting with the arrangements.
