Glenna Baughn
Glenna J. Baughn, 44, Delaware, died Saturday (April 8, 2000) at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1955, in Ashland, Ky., to the late William Joseph and Feba (Fannin) Williams.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Delaware since coming from Flatwoods, Ky., in 1967.
Surviving are her husband, Dan Baughn; a son, Johnny Kidd, Delaware; two daughters and a son-in-law, Hope Bliss, Pataskala, and Faith and Richard Harkins, Galloway; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael and Laurie Williams, Sunbury and Robert Oberle, Delaware; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jane McManus and Melissa MacMichael, both Delaware, and Tammie and Chris Loney, Ashley; two grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Bob Reeves officiating.
Hobart Beacom
Hobart Beacom, 64, Cardington, died unexpectedly Friday (Dec. 10, 1999) at his home.
He was born March 28, 1935, in Kilbourne, to the late Gilson C. and Mabel (VanSickle) Beacom.
A lifelong resident of the Marengo-Fargo area, he was a 1953 graduate of Marengo High School.
Mr. Beacom was a farmer and self-employed truck driver. He was a former member of the FFA, member of the NFO and enjoyed antique farm equipment.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy (Lawrence) Beacom; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bruce and Jane Beacom, Johnstown, and Aaron Beacom; four daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Brad White, Cardington, Stephanie and Gary Rhodes, Chesterville, Candy and Bruce Levings, Cardington, and Melissa and Darrell VanDyke, Fredericktown; two sisters, Evelyn Williams, Ashley, and Gertrude Schollman, Delaware; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond; and two sisters, Margueritte Beacom and Ellen McQuigg.
Calling hours were held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo. Funeral services were held at New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Gilead, with the Rev. William C. Kirk officiating. Burial followed in Fargo Cemetery.

Evelyn M. (Hill) Beal
Evelyn M. (Hill) Beal, 71, Westerville, passed peacefully on from this life on Tuesday (August 28, 2001) at home.
She was the former owner of Beal Home Rentals, Columbus.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, H.R. Dick Beal; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeani and Jerry Cline of Lewis Center and
Brenda and Larry McCrady of Galena; four grandchildren and spouses, Jessica and Chris Cline Williams, Jason and Carrie Cline, Kelli McCrady, and Kevin McCrady; one great-granddaughter, Halle Grace; two sisters and brothers-in-law, P. Joan and Carl Cecil of Maine and Dorothy and Jim Manson of Westerville; a brother and sister-in-law, James Ray and Marie Hill of California; and loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lillie (Woods) Hill, and a sister, Norma Fawcett.
Visitation was held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, where funeral services were held with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Catherine Bean
Catherine Bean, 86, Westerville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday (May 21, 2001).
She was born on Sept. 23, 1914, in Columbus, and she and her husband moved to Westerville in 1947, where she worked for Kilgore Corp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; a daughter, Karen Lee; and three brothers, Vincent, Norman and James.
Mrs. Bean is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Dan Curtis of Galena and Bonnie and Peter Panattoni of Simi Valley, Calif.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Margaret Bean of Westerville; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, with funeral services held at American Baptist Church with the Reverend Ralph Gordon officiating. Interment was in Blendon Central Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Baptist Church building fund.
Charlotte Beaver
Charlotte Havens Beaver, 89, Delaware, died Tuesday (July 27,1999) at her residence.
She was born July 29, 1909, in Delaware to Charles and Lottie (Marston) Havens.
She was a housewife and bookkeeper for Beaver Packing Co. She was a lifelong Delaware County resident and member of Rural Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member of various women's groups.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Johanna, Delaware; three grandchildren; and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1974; and four brothers, Milton, Brooks, William and Ray.
Funeral was at Bennett-Brown Rodman Funeral Home, Delaware with the Rev. Albert Harzog officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware 43015.
Robert Howard Beaver
Robert Howard Beaver, 71, Fredericktown, died at home Thursday (March 16, 2000) following an extended illness.
He was born July 5, 1928, in Sunbury, to the late Howard N. and Nellie Marie (Baker) Beaver.
Mr. Beaver was a member of the Sunbury High School Class of 1946, a U.S. Army veteran and a lifelong farmer. He attended Green Valley United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing. Bob moved to Fredericktown 24 years ago from Delaware.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary (Hall); a son Shawn, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Jeff Wickline, Ashley; two adopted sons, Fred and Frank Beaver, Sunbury; three stepdaughters and their spouses, Alice and Jeff Patterson, Cardington, Linda and Randy Riner, Delaware, and Brenda and Dean Burke, Bevinsville, Ky.; a stepson and his spouse, Mickey and Nora Mullins, Martin, Ky.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Grace Beaver, Galena, John and Eloise Beaver, Winterhaven, Fla., and Benson and Genevieve Beaver, Sunbury; a sister, Ruth Lewis, Fort Stockton, Texas; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna Hall, formerly of Delaware.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held with Paris Tackitt, elder, officiating. Burial with military honors followed in Berkshire Cemetery.

Dale L. Beddow
Dale L. Beddow, 81, Sunbury, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday morning (August 27, 2002).
He was born on December 20, 1920 in Kingston Township to the late Clyde L. and Edna F. (Browning) Beddow. Beddow was a graduate of Sunbury High School Class of 1940 and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He retired after working 47 years for Nestle's.
Beddow was a member of Benson Hough American Legion Post No. 457 and the Big Walnut Golf Course. He enjoyed his family, golfing and taking family photographs.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Boyd of Sunbury and Leona M. (Rick) Salyer of Sunbury; by a son, David L. Beddow of Columbus; six grandchildren, Ardena (Ryan), Jamie, Shawn, Shane, Patrick and Brandy; a great-grandson, Justice; a brother, Ronald (Jan) Beddow of Lucas; a special friend, Shirlie Gorman; nieces; nephews; and by three sisters-in-law, Viola (Jack) Hamilton, Eileen Corwin and Donna (Jim) Ballard.
He was preceded in death by is wife, Dora Jean (Middaugh) Beddow in 1983 and by two brothers, Raymond and Lowell.

Interment with military honors followed in Berkshire Cemetery.

Roberta M. Bell
Roberta M. Bell, 79, Morgan County Care Center, McConnelsville, formerly of Columbus, died Sunday (February 11, 2001) at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville after a brief illness.
Born May 26, 1921 in Rosefarm, Ohio, Roberta was a homemaker and a member of the Crestview Presbyterian Church in Columbus.
She is survived by daughters, Molly (George) Lust of Sunbury, Janice (Larry) Jones of Ocala, Florida, and JoAnn Clark of Columbus; a sister, Rosemary Hardy of Crooksville; a sister-in-law, Betty Nichols of Rosefarm; brothers, Robert (Donna) Dalrymple, Bradley (Shirley) Dalrymple and Merle (Jean) Dalrymple, all of Crooksville; a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Richard and Mary Jane Bell of Zanesville; grandchildren, George, Julie, Jamie, Kenneth, Keri, Cathy, Patty and Tim; and by eight great-grandchildren.
Roberta was predeceased by parents Robert and Maude Kelly Dalrymple, sister Emma Redfern, and by brothers Frank and Bill Dalrymple.
Visitation was at Goebel Funeral Home, Crooksville. Funeral services were held at Zion Christian Union Church, Portersville, Ohio with the Rev. Raymond Lemity officiating. Burial was in Zion Cemetery.

Ruth Benedict
Ruth I. Benedict, 66, of Mt. Gilead died Thursday (June 17, 1999) in the Kobacher House in Columbus.
She was born on August 10, 1932, in Johnstown to the late Gladys Marie Tippett Brush Goodman and Arthur Brush, who survives in Galion.
She was a resident of Morrow County most of her life and graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1952.
She was a homemaker and gardener who helped operate the family farm, and was also a retired supervisor for the United Telephone Co. for over 20 years and former employee of the Mt. Gilead School System. She was a member of the Tangerine Twig at Morrow County Hospital, Wayside Garden Club, Creative Homemakers Club and the United Telephone Pioneers Association.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Charlotte S. Benedict of Marion and Debra and Donald Buchanan of Marysville; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Elaine Brush of Myrtle Beach; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and June Benedict of Nyssa, Ore.; and niece and nephew, Cindy Rogers of Columbus and John Brush of Washington.
Along with her mother, she was preceded in death on April 12, 1997 by her husband, Amos S. "Butch" Benedict, whom she married on July 3, 1953.
Visitation was held at the Craven Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Schultz officiating. Burial was in Rivercliff Cemetery.

Beatrice Bennett
Beatrice B. Bennett, 104, formerly of Marengo and 289 N. Union St., died Monday morning (June 14, 1999) at Wintersong Village Nursing Facility.
She was born Dec. 23, 1894, in Ashley to Oscar and Laura (Randolph) Beardsley. She was a farmer's wife, a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a past chief of the Marengo Pythian Sisters.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Dorothy Bennett of Delaware; and a sister, Pansey Huffman of Bradenton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin Bennett, who died in 1970.
Visitation was held at Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home, Delaware, where funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery, Centerburg.
