Brandon Lee Wade
Brandon Lee Wade, 18, Waldo, died Saturday morning (September 15, 2001) at Ohio State University Hospitals in Columbus from injuries suffered during Buckeye Valley High School's September 7 football game at Sparta Highland High School.
Brandon was born August 10, 1983 in Columbus to Donald Wade and Katherine Bauman Troilo. He worked at the Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant in Sunbury.
He was a senior at Buckeye Valley where he enjoyed football, golf, baseball, basketball and wrestling, for which he received many awards. He also enjoyed trapshooting, playing paintball and watching OSU sports. He loved his family, friends, AC/DC music and his recently-purchased car, a Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Katherine "Kathy" Troilo and her husband, Mark, of Sunbury; his father, Don, of Waldo; three brothers, Brian MacNeil Wade of Ashland, Shawn Michael Wade of Perrysville and Garrett Anthony Troilo of Sunbury; two sisters, Nicole Ann Wade of Columbus and Courtnie Marie Wade of Waldo; a stepbrother, Cody Joseph Troilo; his maternal grandmother, Marcia (Bauman) Dukes and her husband, Charles, of Delaware; his maternal grandfather, Eugene Francis Bauman and his wife, Madeline, of Marysville; his paternal grandmother, Mollie Wade of Bucyrus; a step-grandfather, Clinton Born of Seneca Lake; maternal great-grandparents, Louise and Dean Vanbrimmer of Warrensburg; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mack H. Wade.
Calling hours were Tat the Bennett-Brown-Rodman Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral services were at the Grace Brethren Church, Delaware. Burial was in Attica Cemetery in Attica, Ohio.

James Walker
James Walker, 67, Mount Vernon, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at the emergency room of Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Arrangements will be announced by DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
R. Gordon Walker
R. Gordon Walker, 83, Sunbury, died Saturday morning at his residence.
He was born in Berlin Township on January 21, 1917 to the late Pearlee and Fannie (Chambers) Walker. He was a retired meat inspector for the Department of Agriculture, State of Ohio, retiring in 1987. Prior to that, he owned and operated the Walker Market in Galena from 1949 to 1962.
Walker was a former Mayor of Galena as well as a Council Member and Fire Chief for the volunteer department in Galena. He was a member of the Galena United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary Jane (Johnson) Walker; sons Donald L. (Sylvia) of Columbus and R. Dale of Sunbury; daughters Gwendolyn (Marvin) Bailey of Delaware and Wanda (Melvin) Mantor of Columbus; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Walker was preceded in death by one grandson, a brother Dean and a sister Eloise Grove.
Visitation was at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services were held with the Reverend Sue Antolik officiating. Interment with Military Honors followed in Sunbury Memorial Park.

Odessa Wallace
Odessa Mae Wallace, 87, Cadiz, died Thursday (July 29, 1999) at Harrison Community Hospital.
She was born on November 11, 1911, in Cadiz to Charles E. and Jesse Blanche (Dennis) Thompson.
She was a member of Nottingham Presbyterian Church, where she was once a member of the Missionary Society. She was a former grand marshall of the Piedmont (Ohio) Fireman's Parade and an avid supporter of the Moorefield (Ohio) Community Center.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and Louis Siragusano, Richmond, Barbara Buell, Sunbury, and Jan and William Simpson, Wintersville; one brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Carol Thompson, Canton; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Emerson, Carl, Oscar, Charles and Doyle Thompson; and four sisters, Ethel Dunlap, Edna Nash, Esther Mattern and Mary Dunlap.
Calling hours were at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral services were held at Nottingham Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Mazeroski officiating. Interment was at Nottingham Church Cemetery.

Frankie Walters
Frankie M. Walters, 62, Marengo, died Wednesday morning (March 21, 2001) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
She was born in Chapmanville, W.Va., on September 14, 1938, to the late Frank and Lena (Conley) Cabel, and was an inspector for the Anomatic Co., Newark.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Walters; three sons, Benjamin D. Kerns of Kansas City, Missouri, James K. Kerns of Marengo, and Robert D. Walters of Marengo; a daughter, Kimberly L. Pardee of Hilliard; eight grandchildren; a brother, Hardest Cabel of Marengo; and a sister, Easter Jewel Thompson of Blair, West Virginia.
There were no services, and arrangements were in the care of DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.

Mary Walton
Mary J. Walton, 82, Sunbury, died Sunday morning (March 11, 2001) at Mount Carmel West.
She was born on April 20, 1918, in Newark to the late Joseph E. and Jeanetta J. (Talbot) Deck. A Sunbury resident since 1959, she was a retired secretary from Bachman Adjustment and a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Homer D. Walton, who passed away in 1981; a brother, Joseph Deck; and a sister, Mildred Foltz.
Surviving are her daughter, Cindy Walton of Spencer, W.Va.; a son, Tom Walton of Sunbury; a granddaughter, Sarah; a great-granddaughter, Mikayla; and a sister, Jean Eagle of Jacksontown.
Visitation and a prayer service were held at DeVore Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Father James Walter as celebrant. Interment will follow at a later date in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.

Virginia Ward
Virginia Wampler Ward, 79, of Columbus and formerly of Sunbury, died Thursday (Dec. 7, 2000) at Friendship Village, Columbus.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1921, in Buchanan County, Va., to the late Laura (Fletcher) and John Henry Hubbard. She retired as a lead woman from North American Rockwell.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Eulis Wampler and Robert Ward.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jim and Juanita Wampler of Galena, Keith and Nan Wampler of Granville, and Paul Wampler of Delaware; a daughter, Jennifer Coffmon of Columbus; a sister, Gert Franks of Mt. Gilead; two brothers, Hansel Hubbard of North Carolina and Tyler Joe Hubbard of Croton; 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Crate Sparks officiating. Interment was in Sunbury Memorial Park.
Ernestine Ware
Ernestine M. Ware, 78, Marengo, died Wednesday (October 24, 2001) at home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Ware.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Dave and Sheila Ware of Delaware, Robert Ware of Marengo, Pauline and Bob Newton of Centerburg, and Evelyn and Roger Walton of Mount Gilead; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Vada Budd of Columbus and Laura Budd of Center Village; an aunt, Frances Walker of Richwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There was no visitation, but a graveside service was held Friday at Greenhill Cemetery, Johnstown, with chaplain Linda Meredith officiating.
Arrangements were in the care of Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville.

Nina Warner
Nina Verena Warner, 84, Johnstown and Bradenton, Fla., died Wednesday (Dec. 22, 1999) at Northview Senior Living Center.
She was born Aug. 15, 1915, in Delaware County to Jay E. and Anna Marie (Miller) Smith.
She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Christian Union Church. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School, Wells, Ind.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Bill Mulpas, Centerburg, and Christine and Jon Smilde, Bradenton, Fla.; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Delbert and Donna Warner, Bradenton, Fla., Larry and Jackie Warner, Johnstown, Lester Warner, Westerville, and Victor and Beth Warner, Delaware; three sisters, Ruth Dorsey, Bradenton, Fla., Charlotte Van Fossen and Grace Van Fossen, both Croton; one brother, Gene Smith, Loveland; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Warner, whom she married March 2, 1935; and two brothers and a sister.
Calling hours were at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home, Johnstown. Funeral Services were with the Rev. Forest Newlin officiating.
Harold E. Warren
Harold E. Warren, 69, of Sunbury, died Monday morning (August 28, 2000) at The Ohio State University Medical Center following a six-week illness.
He was born March 13, 1931, in Leipsic to the late Ford M. and Maver (Baker) Warren. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he moved to Sunbury in 1990 from Columbus. He retired as a carpenter from the Columbus Metropolitan Housing.
Mr. Warren was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association, Delaware Moose Lodge 1167, American Legion Post 0888, and Carpenters Union. His hobbies were spending time with his grandchildren and his horses. He continued a family tradition of collecting pencils which he inherited from his father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Susanna (Welzel) Warren; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harold B. Warren of Sunbury, Ron and Tammy Warren of Westerville, and Ken R. and Lisa McKibben-Warren of Columbus; a daughter and her husband, Sharon and Bernie Herton of California; eight grandchildren, Grant, Samantha, Katie, Lauren, Melanie, Alexandra, Cory, Kyle; brothers, Ford E., C. Robert, and Franklin Warren; and sisters, Beatrice Borger and Shirley Jane Brandt.
Mr. Warren was preceeded in death by brothers Dwight, Gerald, and Richard.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Mark Gaven officiating. Internment was in Green Mound Cemetery.
