Anita F. Wurm
Anita F. Wurm, 73, of Delaware, died Monday morning (July 3, 2000) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born in Huntington, W.Va., on January 14, 1927, to the late Edward E. and Gertrude (McComas) Skeens. She was a retired cashier for Kroger and had worked at Kilgore Manufacturing. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday School. She also was a member of Harlem Township Grange, the Farm Bureau, and had been a Girl Scout leader in Delaware County.
Mrs. Wurm is survived by sons Donald B. (Elizabeth) Wurm and Wendall C. Wurm of Delaware; a daughter, Wanda C. Brown of Columbus; two grandchildren, Dawn and Lisa Wurm; a brother, Robert Skeens of Sunbury; and a sister, Betty June Stout of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Wurm in 1973, and a brother, David Skeens, May 17, 2000.
Calling hours were at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury. Services were held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville with The Rev. John Zimmerman officiating. Burial followed in the Fancher Cemetery.

Arthur "Art" Wurm
Arthur "Art" Wurm, 83, Galena, died Saturday morning (August 31, 2002) at his residence.
He was born in Genoa Township, Delaware County, on December 22, 1918, to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth "Mabel" (Pflueger) Wurm. He was a lifelong resident of Harlem Township and a retired farmer.
Wurm was a World War II Army veteran and a member of VFW Post No. 8736 and FOE Aerie No. 3614 Sunbury. He was a charter member of Harlem Township Grange and a former Harlem Township Trustee.
He is survived by his three daughters, June (Mark) Smith of Medina, Wanda (John) Bennett of Columbus and Nancy Pfautsch of Johnstown; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Betty) Wurm of Galena and Theodore (Ann) Wurm of Delaware; and by three sisters, Eloise Collier, Mary Jane Fisher and Betty (Gary) Johnson, all of Galena.
Wurm was preceded in death by wives Willa McCoy in 1975 and Mary E. Waller in 2001 and by brothers Charles Donald and Ray Richard.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services were held with Reverend Richard Metzger officiating.
Interment, with military honors, followed in Fancher Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Althea Yarhouse
Althea Yarhouse, 88, Delaware, died unexpectedly Saturday (April 7, 1999) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 17, 1910, in Coal Grove, to Daniel Bryant and Lillie (Temple) Bryant. She was a longtime county resident.
She was retired as a receptionist for Jane M. Case Hospital, Delaware. She was a 1928 graduate of Orange High School and member of Kilbourne United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Marlene Yarhouse, Delaware; one daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Lewis Stegner, Bellpoint; her twin brother, Allen Bryant, Sunbury; four grandchildren, Annette and Dick Ebert, Michelle and Allan Neimayer, Jennifer Yarhouse and Amy Yarhouse; three great-grandchildren, Heather, Brittany and Nicholas Ebert; two sisters-in-law, Cristcelia Kelley, Marion, and Helen Schultz, Largo, Fla.; close friend, Marie Langford, Kilbourne; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, in 1956; and eight brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours and funeral services were at Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kilbourne UMC.

Alan C. Yarnell
Alan C. Yarnell, 43, of Delaware, died Tuesday (July 14, 1998) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
He was a truck driver for Dailey Express of Carlisle, Penn., and a Delaware County farmer. Mr. Yarnell also was a member of Lewis Center United Methodist Church, the Delaware County Farm Bureau, and was a 4-H adviser. He served 15 years on the Orange Township Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife Pamela; sons and daughter-in-law Joseph A. and Tammy K. Yarnell of Lewis Center, Daniel Yarnell, USMC Base, Cherry Pointe, N.C., and Matt Yarnell of Delaware; grandsons Austin and Andrew; his parents, Carroll and Luella Yarnell, Lewis Center; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer and Gena Yarnell of Sunbury, and Kenneth and Julie Yarnell of Powell; sister and brother-in-law Becky and Dick Creighton of Urbana; his grandmother, Evadell Martin of Columbus; mother- and father-in-law May and Alvin Gay of Delaware; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services were held at the Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, with the Rev. Mark Damschroder officiating. Interment was in Africa Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Center UMC Building Fund, 1019 Lewis Center Road, Lewis Center, OH, 43035.

Bessie Yeamans
Bessie M. Yeamans, 91, died Saturday (June 23, 2001). A member of the Eastern Star, she retired from D.L. Auld Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Yeamans.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John and Nina Embleton of Sunbury; grandchildren Deb and Ron Hall of Hilliard and Eric and Kathy Embleton of Sunbury; great-grandson Pfc. James Sharon, U.S.M.C., of Quantico, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Schoedinger North Chapel, where funeral services were held on Tuesday (June 26, 2001). Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany.

Mary York
Mary Margaret Mackley York, 80, Galena, died at her home early Saturday (March 18, 2000).
She was born March 1, 1920, in Tunnelton, W.Va., to the late Thomas and Harriet (Bowmar) Layton.
She was a resident of Galena since 1950. She retired as an inspector from Western Electric and Kilgore Manufacturing. She was a member of Genoa Baptist Church, Delaware County Democrat Women's Club and Executive Committee, Federated Democrat Women's Club, Zoar Rebekah Lodge #887 for 45 years, Franklin County AFL-CIO, Ohio Union Label and Services Trades Council and the Ohio Consumer Association.
She was a former vice-president of the Ohio State AFL-CIO Auxiliary, IBEW Local 2020 Auxiliary Executive Board 4th District Manufacturing Council and Six States District Council of Columbia, DC, recording secretary and negotiating team of Local 2020, delegate to the international Convention IBEW 1966 and 1970, Democrat Precinct worker Village of Galena 1958-1996.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Willie York; a daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Jesse Rice, Galena; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Sharon Mackley, Phoenix, Ariz., and Lowell and Patty Mackley, Sunbury; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Archie and Carol Layton, Mansfield, Lee Roy and Cynthia Layton, Prospect, Charles and Mary Layton, Fredericktown, and John and Wanda Layton, Perry and Pat Layton and Dale and Jewel Layton, all Sunbury; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lovell and Jim Pyle, Naples, Fla., Lillian Dewalt, Zenia, Nellie Salyers, Delaware, Shirley Johnson, Oklahoma City, and Roxie and Dave Basford, Groveport; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Layton, Mount Morris, Pa.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren
She was proceded in death in 1965 by her husband of 28 years, Ray Mackley; a son, Arthur in 1951; a daughter, Liberty in 1946; a brother Bill Layton in 1999; and a sister, Dorothy Williams in 1988.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held at Genoa Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Carl officiating. Interment was at Galena Cemetery.

Michael Yost
Michael Vincent Yost, 15, of Westerville, died Tuesday (Oct. 24) as a result of an automobile accident.
A member of the Westerville North High School band and an accomplished drummer and xylophonist, he had just returned from a weekend band competition in Atlanta, Ga., where the band placed sixth among 32 bands. He was active with his family in NorthGate Community Church, where he served as drummer for the church's youth group worship team for the past year.
Michael was known for his optimistic disposition and was widely popular among his peers at both church and school. Prior to moving back to Central Ohio in 1998, he and his family were active members of Westside Community Church, Toledo.
Surviving are his parents, Lester and Loucinda Yost, and his sister, Chrystal, all of Westerville; his grandparents, David and Elizabeth Yost of Westerville and David and Gail Sadler of Columbus; his aunts and uncles, Linda Yost of New Jersey, Bryan and Tammy Yost of Mount Vernon, Kathryn Yost of Croton, Karl and Andrea Yost of Westerville, David and Darlene Yost of Delaware, Mike and Joy Kusche of Westerville, and David and Mindy Sadler, Scott Sadler, and Lora Perdue, all of Columbus; and numerous cousins.
Visiting hours were held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville. A memorial service was held at NorthGate Community Church.

Leon R. Young
Leon R. Young, 82, Marengo, died Saturday (Jan. 15, 2000) at Woodside Village Care Center, Mount Gilead.
He was born on May 26, 1917, in Clenendin, W.Va., to the late Phillip and Virginia (Hayes) Young.
A lifelong Marengo resident, he worked in the CCC from 1938-1940. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had been a farmer, worked with general construction and assisted with the building of Interstate 71. Mr. Young retired from Kokosing Construction after working 17 years as a timber clearer.
He was a 50 year member of American Legion Post No. 710, Marengo. He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, and was an avid coon hunter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marjorie (James); four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Tina Young, Apple Valley, and Dan and Pam Young, Larry and Terri Young, and Rick and Beth Young, all of Marengo; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Don McNamee, Mount Gilead; four brothers, Charles Young, Alhambra, Calif., Jim and Noel Young, both Marengo, and Kenneth Young, Ashley; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Noble; half brother, Holly; and a half sister, Gussie Thaxton.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snuyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Michael Olinger officiating. Interment followed with full military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 710 at Marengo Cemetery.

Kim Zedeker
Kim L. Zedekar, 38, Sunbury, died Wednesday (Jan. 13, 1999) at the Arthur James Cancer Hospital, Columbus.
She was born Nov. 1, 1960, in Columbus to the late William Conley and Ila (Hoy) Conley, Sunbury. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Walnut High School Class of 1979. She was a member of Sunbury United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, her children and attending their sport events.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Zedekar; a daughter, Nelli Helton, Sunbury; two sons, Billie "B.J." Helton and Charelton Lauber, Sunbury; three stepchildren, Carrie, Chris and Richard Zedekar, Sunbury; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Jeff Aisel, Sunbury, and Karen and Brad Powers, Westerville; and a grandmother, Ruby Hoy Green, Newark.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held with the Rev. David Hill officiating. Interment was at Sunbury Memorial Park.

Helen L. Zeise
Helen L. Zeise, 69, Columbus died Sunday (Aug. 29, 1999) at her home.
She was a member of the Ladies Aide of Sunbury.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Richard Davis, Columbus; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sheila Zeise, Sunbury; four grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Frank and Opal Kinnaman, Westerville, Don and Lisa Kinnaman, Columbus, Ed and Jerry Kinnaman, Marengo, and Thomas Kinnaman, Delaware; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Herald Barber, Baltimore, and Shirlene and Bill Hobbs, Centerburg; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Edward and Vivian Kinnaman; and a brother, Herbert Kinnaman.
Visitation was held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, where services were held with the Rev. Torry Gligora officiating. Interment was in Berkshire Cemetery.
