Blanche M. Angerer
Blanche M. Angerer, age 85, of Canton, OH, passed away Tuesday morning in the Alliance Community Hospital following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Fairpoint, OH, on December 22, 1916, she was a retired employee of Canton Sterilized Wiping Cloth Co., retiring after having over 30 years of service. She was a former member of St. Peters Catholic Church. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Angerer who passed away February 17, 1994, also by her parents, Josef and Mary Mastella; two brothers, Stanley and William Mastella and three sisters, Nellie Howvanich, Katherine Fish and her twin sister, Josephine Castignola who also passed away from Alzheimer's on November 17, 2001. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John J. and Joyce Angerer of North Canton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary E. and John Jones of Stroudsburg, PA and Shirley A. and Wayne Plakan of North Canton; one brother, Frank Mastella of Canton; three grandchildren, Kellie Vasquez, Stacy Walters and Kim Ortiz; seven great-grandchildren; and soon to be born in April a set of twin great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Forest Yoder officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home on Friday 7-9 p.m.

Brandon M. Coyne
Brandon Michael Coyne, infant son of Shawn M. and Lori A. Coyne of Massillon, passed away Monday at Aultman Hospital. In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Carol and Gerald Fox of Jackson Twp., Mary Ann Coyne of Massillon, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Coyne of Massillon; great-grandfather, Daniel Bitzel of Malvern; great-grandmother, Nellie Bruce of Massillon; great-grandparents, Walter and Amy Fox of Louisville. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the services.

Charles T. H. Reed
Charles T. H. Reed, age 81, of Pickerington, OH, died Tuesday afternoon in the Pickerington Nursing Home following an extended illness. Son of the late Thomas and Anna (Ault) Reed. He was a Pickerington resident for the past two years, prior to which he had resided in Canton for 60 years. He retired from the Canton Local Schools in 1984 after 22 years of service and was formerly employed by Hercules Engines for 20 years. Member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, where he had served as Treasurer and Board Member for a number of years. He was also a Cub Scout leader. Member of McKinley Lodge #60 FAM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. A World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Lillian Brownfield. Survived by his wife, Helen E. (Taylor) to whom he was married 62 years; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Suzann Reed of Pataskala, OH, Charles and Gale Reed of Waynesburg, Richard and Shirley Reed of Pickerington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Boyd Carter of Quaker City, OH. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Jan Ricketts officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday 6-9 p.m.

Donald L. Satterfield Jr.
Donald L. Satterfield Jr., age 52 of Canton, OH passed away Wednesday morning in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Canton on November 24, 1949, he was a 1967 graduate of Perry High School and a veteran, serving in the Vietnam Conflict with the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of the Timken Co., retiring March 2001 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Sharon Lane Chapter Veterans of Vietnam, McKinley Eagle's Lodge, and served as a member of the committee that erected the Stark County Veteran's Memorial. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald L. Sr. and Yvonne Satterfield. Survivors include wife, Beth Renee Satterfield of the home whom he married April 5, 1980; his daughter, Carrie Satterfield of the home; a brother, Todd Satterfield of Massillon and three sisters, April Sue Hope of North Carolina, Melody R. Lowe of Louisville and Marcia K. Bowling of Massillon. There are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours at the funeral home on Friday evening 7-9 p.m. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Gabrail and his staff for the loving care they gave Donald throughout his illness.

Esther L. Schneider. Services will be conducted Thursday (today) at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger and Gordon Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour before the service, (today) from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Frances O. Kolla
Frances O. Kolla. Funeral Services will be Saturday 12:00 noon in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville with Pastor Dennis Condon officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home (10:00AM-Noon). Final Resting Place is Marlboro Cemetery.

J. Arlan Shank
J. Arlan Shank, age 77, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Canton, OH, Dec. 21, 1924, to the late Roger and Margaret (Everline) Shank. He was retired from ODOT. He was a graduate of Lehman High School, a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville and the Bixler Sunday School Class of the church. He was Past Master of Nimishillen Grange and was a member of Pomona Grange, Juilliard Lodge #460 FAM of Louisville, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and the Lehman High School Alumni. He is survived by his wife, Lois (Wilson) Shank; two daughters, Ann Shank and Lyn Shank, both of Louisville; a brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Helen Shank of Canton; grandchildren, Staci, Lindsey and Alison Batdorff, Adam, Katelyn, Hannah and Marissa Fullmer, Alex, Zane and Mick Preston. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Rev. Robert L. Keiser and Robert Powell officiating. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Grange services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Masonic services at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lehman High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, PO Box 8175, Canton, OH 44711.

Jean Toepfner Wagner
Jean Toepfner Wagner, age 78, of Upper Arlington, OH, passed away suddenly January 16, 2002 as she was walking her dog, Dora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1997. Jean is survived by her sons, Peter Wagner of Agoura Hills, CA and Matthew (Ann) Wagner of New York City; daughter, Nina (Joseph) Hoppes of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Alec and Abby Hoppes and Raf, Eamon and Elisabeth Wagner and nephew Joseph (Barbara) Marte of Powell, OH. Born and reared in Columbus, OH, and a thirty year resident of Canton, OH; Jean Wagner was a graduate of both Columbus South High School and The Ohio State University. She was active in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, the Junior League of Canton, OH, Friendship Force, The English Speaking Union and St. Paul's Episcopal Church (Canton) and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Upper Arlington. Irrepressible and unsinkable, she was a source of delight to everyone who knew her. Friends may call on Friday, January 18, 2002 from 5-7 PM at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43221, where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2002. Inurnment Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Ohio State University Honors and Scholars Center, 220 West 12th Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43210 or St. Mark's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 2151 Dorset Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43221.

Johnny L. Humphrey
Johnny L. Humphrey, age 65, of Canton, died Wednesday morning in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born August 13, 1936 in Lawton, KY to the late Donald and Olive Humphrey. He was a former member of the Canton Baptist Temple and was an employee of Cohen-Joliet Industries. Preceded in death by one brother, Ross Humphrey. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Cissy Humphrey of Waynesburg, OH and Frank and Holli Humphrey of North Canton; three nieces; nine nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Revs. Bob Butterfield and Rick Ragan of the Open Door Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours in the funeral home two hours prior to services from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Linda Kay Lee
Linda Kay Lee, age 58, formerly of Canton and more recently of Decatur, AL, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2002, at the Decatur General Hospital in Decatur, AL. She was born to Evan G. Kopf and Eleanor I. Reifsnyder Kopf on July 1, 1943 in Canton, OH. Linda was a loving wife and mother, a deacon at the Christ Presbyterian Church of Canton, and a member of the Canton Women's Club. Linda lived in Canton for over 35 years and worked at Ohio Bell for over 15 years before moving to Alabama to be with her five grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Lee of Decatur, AL; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer Sill Petron and Chris Petron of Monroe, CT, Kris and Bobby Staudt of Hartselle, AL; her mother, Eleanor I. Kopf of Coral Springs, FL; one sister, Judy Brogden of Coral Springs, FL; five grandchildren; and three nieces. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 19, 2002, at the John Knox Presbyterian Church with Rev. Douglas Patton officiating where there will be calling hours two hours prior to services from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nancy M. Nance Nehrig. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 a.m. in the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Stephen Broache and Ron Iwanusa officiating. Interment will be in St. Jacob's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Leetonia. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Annie L. Monastra
Annie L. Monastra (Bartoloni) age 88, of Canton, passed away Tuesday morning in Mercy Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a life resident of Canton and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Incoronata (Di Giocomo) Bartoloni; three brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Frank Bartoloni; three sisters, Mary Palombo, Jennie Stipctich and Angeline Page. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Evelyn Monastra of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Dominick Trifero of Uniontown, OH, Antonetta and Charles Gaddis of Canton, Delores Sinkovitz, with whom she had made her home, of Canton; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday (tonight) 6-9 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Prosser, Dr. Pansino, Dr. Williams and their staff as well as the staff at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center and Mercy Medial Center for their excellent care, kindness, support and love.

Florence Ola Penn
Florence Ola Penn (Handley), age 72, of Indian Trail, NC, formerly of Canton, OH, departed this life January 12, 2002. Mrs. Penn was an involved civic activist and loved children. She was President of the Canton Ohio Council of PTA's, Southeast Community Center Organization (SECO) organizer and president, Life Member of NAACP, avid crossword puzzle solver (the kind that you fill in the blanks), wife of 54 years, a passionately devoted and loving mother. Mrs. Penn is preceded in death by her parents, Ceola (Miles) and Lawrence Gamble of Birmington, AL; guardians, Eula (Morrow) and Frank C. Handley of Bessemer, AL; by son 1st Lieutenant Charles L. Penn, Jr. (Korea) and son, Frank C. Penn of home; husband, Charles L. Penn Sr.; and daughter, Florence Sandra Penn RN, both of North Carolina; her sister, Mrs. Lillian Dunham of Birmington, AL; plus countless in-laws; nieces; nephews; extended family members and friends survived Mrs. Penn. Following cremation, a small private memorial service will be held in her home on Saturday, January 19, 2002, at 12 noon, Rev. R. Lawson of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Canton, OH officiating. In lieu of flowers, (Mama got her's while she was living), please make donations in her name to your are Hospice office. The family would like to thank the following people; Cherrisse Smith, Fran Grudier, Melissa Wheeler, Alfie White, the Kincaid family, Beverly and Clyde Best, Martha Halkias and family, Jeanette Greer, Dr. Adam Wegener and staff, John for Home Medical in Monroe, Lovie Hailey and Kim Martin.

William Billings
William Mack Billings, age 85, was born on July 16, 1916 in Hale County, AL, to the late Clark and Clara R. Billingsley, to this union two sons were born, Clark and William. William was a member of People's Baptist Church in Canton. He attended Holt High School in Holt, AL. He met the love of his life, Carrie B. Hines. They were united in holy matrimony in 1937, to this union six children were born. After the passing of his wife, Carrie, William relocated to Canton and married Josephine Lawhorn, she preceded him in death. William leaves to cherish his precious memories, daughters, Clara Billings, Cora Sue (Frank) Cottrell, Barbara Billings, all of Hale County, AL; sons, William E. Billings Jr., Clifford Billings, James L. (Patricia) Billings, all of Canton; three brothers, Robert Donald of Canton, Joe Lee (Mia) Donald of Dallas, TX, Clark (Elizabeth) Billings of Cleveland, OH; sister, Loretta (Patrick) McGlothan of Canton and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a loving and devoted friend, Aldean Newell; special friends, John Murrling, Harold Burrier and a host of other relatives and friends. Calling hours 10-11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2002, at People's Baptist Church, 701 17th St. S.E., Canton, OH 44707, Rev. Walter J. Arrington, officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
