Clinton Wm. DeWitt, Jr., 56, passed away suddenly April 17, 2006.
Clinton is survived by his mother and stepfather, Janis and Earl Gessman; brother, Howard A. DeWitt; sister and brother-in-law, Linda K. and Thomas J. Gregory; nieces and nephews, Joseph DeWitt, Gina Gregory, Darren Gregory, Kathy DeWitt; great-niece, Makayla Ann; aunt, Nancy Perry; stepbrothers, Mike, Allen, Terry and John Gessman.
His many loving friends will remember his bright sense of humor, artistic soul, and his great musical talent.
Loved by all, Clinton was a light in our lives. We will miss you!

Cora M. Wages
Cora M. Wages, 92, went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2004. She was born April 28, 1912 in Centerville, PA. She had worked for B.F. Goodrich and was a member of The Chapel at Fir Hill since 1972, the Akron Women’s Club for 22 years, and was a volunteer tour guide at Stan Hywet for 20 years.
Cora was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Calvin; brother, William Nave; and sister, Jessie Holman. She is survived by her step-daughter, Annalee (Dave) Henderson of CA; grandchildren, Calvin Lee (Kathy) Anweiler of IL and Larry Anweiler of NV; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Bryan, Victoria, and Eric Anweiler; nephews, Paul and William “Tink” (Doris) Holman; great-nephews Mark and Arlie Holman; nephew, Bill (Joyce) Nave; great-nephews, Michael and John Nave.
Friends may call at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m., Pastor Jim Dull officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Daniel F. Egleston
Daniel F. Egleston, 67, passed away suddenly June 21, 2004. Daniel was a Sergeant First Class in the Army Reserves upon retiring in 1996, was Captain of the Norton Fire Department upon retiring in 2001, and had worked for Sparton Enterprises as a truck driver for the last 15 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Daniel Egleston he is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carole (nee Selnik); sons, Richard (Libby) Egleston and James (Michele) Egleston; sister, Evelyn (Frank) Kaczmarski; grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Clayton, Logan, Emerson, Joseph and father and mother-in-law, Cyril and Anna Selnik.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, NORTON on Friday, June 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. Military honors will be provided by Wadsworth Post 1089 at 7:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Delores Marie Palmer
WINGATE, NORTH CAROLINA - Delores Marie Palmer, 86, passed away December 24, 2007. She was born October 17, 1921 in Clarke County, Washington.
She is survived by her brother, Hugh Palmer of Wingate, NC.
Funeral services will be held at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. Map to funeral home, on Monday, December 31 at 10 a.m., Rev. James Bloom officiating. Interment at Lockwood Cemetery. Della Poling (nee Archer)
Della M. Poling (nee Archer), 78, passed away Jan. 22, 2006. She was born February 15, 1927 in Akron. She had worked as an office manager for Remington Rand, was a past president of Akron P.T.A., a Girl Scout troop leader, and taught Sunday School at The Chapel at Fir Hill.
Della was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Culbertson. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Graydon; daughters, Debbi (Gerald) Trenary and Diane (George) Cinco; grandchildren, Crystal Phillips, Trisha and Kevin Culbertson; and great-grandchild, Paige.
Private services have already been held for the family. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Akron or Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333, in memory of Della.
Domenick Demasi
Domenick Demasi, 86, passed away January 16, 2008. He was born July 22, 1921 in Caulonia, Italy. He came to the United States at age 16 by himself to be with his father to work in the coal fields of West Virginia. He enlisted in the war in July 1943 and fought in the South Pacific with the Americal Division. While serving as an infantryman and combat medic, Domenick went through numerous campaigns, including the liberation of the Philippines. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor, Combat Infantry Badge, Combat Medic Badge, and the Philippine Liberation Medal. He earned his U.S. citizenship while serving in combat on Cebu Island. Domenick returned to Italy and met Mary. They were married in 1947. They then made their home in West Virginia where Domenick was a self-employed coal miner for 22 years. He retired to Akron in 1971.
Domenick was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary; parents, Tony and Carmela Demasi; and sister, Catherine Cavallaro. He is survived by his son, Tony (Mary Bea) Demasi; daughter, Lena (Joseph Donald) Parsons; brothers, Jim, Nick, and Larry Demasi; sister, Cecelia Frammartino; grandchildren, Nick (Tyra), Anthony (Heidi), Mike (Laura), Joe and Shaun; and seven great-grandchildren.

Donald A. Arnold
Donald A. Arnold, 80, passed away December 7, 2007. He was born October 9, 1927 in Akron. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Goodyear for 36 ½ years.
Donald leaves his devoted wife and love of his life, Marge; son, Gary; daughter, Cathy; grandsons, Michael and Matthew; granddaughter, Nicole; sister-in-law, Nancy (Chuck) Pilliod; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Donna Weinsheimer
Donna Weinsheimer, 63, left her earthly body and headed to paradise on March 19,2006. Donna retired as a cook in the Chippewa School System in 2002. She has always been very active in her church, had volunteered for many years with Akron Pregnancy Service and the Barberton Soup Kitchen, greatly enjoyed flower gardening, quilting and traveling. However, her greatest pride and joy were her sons and their families. She was a very faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord and glorified and served Him to the day she went to join Him in paradise. All of us whose lives were touched in some way by Donna are better off because she lived.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Sarah Krunich; brother, Robert Krunich and sister-in-law, Helen Krunich. She is survived by her loving husband Chuck of 45+ years; sons, Jeffrey (Patty) Weinsheimer and Gary (Sharon) Weinsheimer; 4 grandchildren, Joe, Daniel, Sarah and Hannah Weinsheimer; brothers Glen (Linda) Krunich and Chester Krunich; sister-in-law, Betty Krunich.

Dorcas Jane DeLong
Dorcas Jane DeLong, 69, was swept up by angels and taken into the presence of the Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ on March 16, 2008. Born in Akron, Jane worked as a secretary throughout her life, most recently for the Central District Office of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. However her true gifts of devotion and friendship always stood out to those who allowed themselves to get close to her. She was the best possible wife, mother, and friend anyone could hope for. Jane was attentive to her appearance, a testament to her inner and outer beauty. Playing music, mostly piano, was one of her favorite talents, both at home and for churches. Her greatest devotion was to her husband of 49 years, Jack, and son, Jonathan, who both look forward to the great reunion in Christ’s presence.
Jane will be greeted in heaven by her daughter, Annette Mae, and family and friends who preceded her. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Jack; son, Jonathan; grandson, Brandon; many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Marie McKean
Dorothy Marie McKean (nee Logue), 86, passed away April 25, 2004. Born February 11, 1918 in Martin’s Ferry, Ohio, Dorothy was a member of Saint Francis De Sales Catholic Church and lived in the community for many years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Logue, her loving husband, Leo and sister Betty Berwinkle. She is survived by her loving sons, John ( Marsha), Leo ( Wendy); loving daughters, Barbara Slivinski, Sister Carol Mc Kean SCN; grandchildren, Michael Mc Kean, Rich Slivinski, Jason and Ryan Mc Kean, great grandson, Ronald John Mc Kean; many nieces and nephews and loving special friends.

Douglas R. Turchin
NORTON – Douglas R. Turchin, 48, went home to be with the Lord, September 7, 2007.
Douglas was born in Akron, Ohio on February 4, 1959. Doug’s life was encompassed by helping people and the community for 27 years. He was a life long resident of Norton and 1978 graduate of Norton High School. He was the head wrestling coach for Norton High School and ran the Youth Wrestling Program. Doug devoted his whole life to helping kids. He was a great example to the youth in this area and helped many young boys become great wrestlers and men.
Doug was named 2007 Norton Citizen of the Year and was proud to gather with community leaders and help organize and privately fund the Doug Turchin Wrestling Room named after him.
Doug also loved motor cycles, he rode as often as possible, He said,’It made him forget and he felt most alive when riding. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Doug is preceded in death by step-father, Raymond Maynard; grandparents, Susan and Andrew Turchin; uncles, Theodore, John and Andy Turchin; aunt , Lydia Turchin.
He is survived by the love of his life, Janet; father, Jerry (Helen) Turchin; mother, Carol Maynard; grandmother, Peggy Carson; sons, James Turchin and future daughter-in-law, Sarah Nichols, Tyler (Jennifer) Turchin; daughters, Tiffany (Tom) Johnsen, Janel Turchin and Ashley Turchin; grandchildren, Sterling, Aubrey ; brothers, Terry (Carla) Turchin; Wayne Turchin, Raymond (Dolores) Maynard, Dennis (Teri) McGlone; sisters, Sandra (John) Keith, Tina (Bob) Brouse, Sandra Rose Praznik, Debbie (Tom) Henley, Cecile Tepus, Lori Martin, Connie (Bob) Lancy and Kathy (Terry) McGlone and his beloved dogs, Chichi, Cody and Fido.
Calling hours will be held at Grace Brethren Church Map To This Location, 3970 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Norton on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at Grace Brethren Church on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastors Dee Miklos and Bobby Webb officiating.
