Beverly R. Ford
Beverly R. Ford, age 63, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday August 7, 2002, in Aultman Hospital. She was born October 24, 1938 in Canton, OH, to the late Russell and Lenora (Lawson) Passwaters. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and watching baseball. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Salmen; two brothers, Herman and Dwayne Passwaters. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Wood of East Canton, Becky and Ronald Hoffman of Alliance; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rick and Denise Ford of Minerva, Kenneth Ford of Louisville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia Dillree of Canton, Joan and Don Beeson of Louisville; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Erma Passwaters of Canton, Edward Passwaters of Carrollton, Wayne Passwaters of Canton, Bob and Iva Passwaters of East Canton; five grandchildren, Charity and Amber Ford, Ashley and Vicki Hoffman and Zach Wood. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Mr. Jeff Stevenson officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Didona M. Lungociu
Didona Marioara Lungociu, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 in the House of Loreto. Didona is survived by the light of her life , her daughters, Daniela and Felicia, of Cleveland. Survived also by her husband, George, and parents, George and Mary Grecu of Canton. There will be no calling hours. A private service will be Saturday in the First Christian Church with Pastor John Hampton officiating. Entombment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Please do not send flowers. You may send donations in Didona's memory to either the House of Loreto or to the First Christian Church. The Lamiell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Edward P. Davidson
Edward P. Davidson, age 67, of Massillon, died Thursday at the Laurels of Massillon following a brief illness. He was born in Canton, OH, March 8, 1935, the son of Paul and Ruth Davidson and was a life resident of the area. He was a ember of St. George Romanian Orthodox Church in Canton; was an Army veteran; and had been employed as a plumber; and was a member of American Legion Post #221, and the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #94, Surviving are his wife, Mary F. (Kimpean) Davidson; children, Susan, Scott, Steven and Sandi; stepsons, Greg and Mark Strouble, both of Massillon; mother, Ruth Davidson of Canton; granddaughters, Amy and Danielle Strouble, both of Massillon. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home in Massillon. Interment in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Frederick C. Kline
Frederick C. Kline, age 86, of Louisville, passed away at home Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002. He was born in Randolph, OH Oct. 28, 1915 to the late Leonard and Frona (Goodyear) Kline. He was a retired truck driver through Teamster Local #92 in Canton. A World War II Army veteran. Preceded in death by his wife, Clarice, in 1991; three sisters; four brothers. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilynn and Ernest Zwick, Barbara and Jack Wright, both of Louisville; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home, Louisville, with Rev. Larry Hinkel officiating. Friends may call Monday one hour before the services. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
Jane C. Queen
Jane C. Queen, (Mrs. Richard B. Lindgren), age 52, of Pasadena, CA, died Tues. Aug. 6, 2002. Born in Findlay, OH Sept. 22, 1949. She had lived in Canton from the second grade until her junior year of high school. She was a graduate of Findlay High School. She graduated from Ohio State University. Member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Graduate studies were at Paris Des Ecole. She was with TWA Airlines for 12 years and since then has been with Coldwell Banker Realtors in Pasadena, CA. She is survived by husband, Richard Lindgren; daughter, Caroline Applegarth, age 17; parents, Mr. and Mrs. David B. Queen of Canton; brothers, David D. Queen of Pasadena and Thomas Queen of Canton; sister, Sara Queen Goff of Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Canton Chapter or Huntington Hospital Oncology Division, Pasadena CA.
Linda S. Gardner
Linda S. Gardner, age 53, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2002, at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Canton, OH., December 9, 1948. She was a former employee of Park Farms, and was formerly a co-owner of Quality Floor Care. She was a member of the Croation Club of Canton. Preceded in death by her husband, David K., in 1997; her father, Austin McCauley; and a brother-in-law, Timothy Nelson. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Thomas Utley of Alliance; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joel and Deidre Scott of Louisville, David K. Gardner, Jr. of the home; her mother, Grace McCauley of Canton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana Nelson of Louisville, Connie and Tim Archer of Canton, Patricia and Norman Calder of North Canton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Austin and Marsha McCauley of Canton, Richard and Lorie McCauley of Jackson Twp., Robert and Connie McCauley of Canton; two grandchildren, Wade Austin Scott and Jozie Marie Scott; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Pastor Dan Deem officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Loretta J. Blake
Loretta J. Blake, age 88, of Naples, passed away on August 6, 2002. Loretta was born on June 7, 1914, in Avon, Ohio, the daughter of Genevieve and William Cummings. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, Ohio, and was an operating room nurse until she married Glenn A. Blake on December 2, 1938. She wad preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in 1944. Loretta is survived by her son, Mike (Gloria) Blake of Darnstown, MD; daughters, Pat (John) Eberhard of Naples, Kathy (Bill) Orth of Mentor, Ohio; Janice (Bob) McCarthy of Houston, TX., Joanne (Pete) Jarocowitcz of Canton, Ohio, and Beth (Carl) Hendy of Mount Laurel, New Jersey; also surviving are 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her sister, Marie Walklet of Naples; and her brother, Bill Cummings of Avon, Ohio. The family will receive friends Friday (today) August 9, 2002, from 5-7 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Chapel, 3520 Tamiami Trail North, Naples, Florida. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Saturday, August 10, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 601 Seagate Drive. Inurnment will take place at North Lawn Chapel Mausoleum in Canton, Ohio. Nora M. Barrick
Nora M. Barrick, age 78, of Malvern, died unexpectedly Wednesday at Aultman Hospital. Daughter of the late Augustus and Ada K. (Wadsworth) VanMeter. she was a Malvern area resident for 49 years. Retiring from T.R.W. Metals in 1986 after 20 years of service., prior to which she had served as an Avon Representative. A 1941 graduate of Minerva High School. Member of Indian Run Christian Church and the Busy Belle Card Club. Nora greatly enjoyed fishing. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Barrick, in 2001; one grandson, Scott Barrick; one brother; three sisters. survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Charlotte Barrick of Waynesburg, Terry Barrick of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Thomas Romano of Damascus, OH; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Grace and Mahlon Sautters of Minerva, Olive Boldizar of New Baltimore, OH. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Ron Crowe officiating. Interment in Liberty Cemetery. Purl Tinlin
Purl Soup Tinlin, age 79, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, in the Carroll Golden Age Retreat at Carrollton after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Harsh Memorial United Methodist Church in Harlem Springs with Rev. Jane Betts officiating. Burial will follow in the Harlem Springs Cemetery, where full Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion, VFW, and the DAV. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday (today) at the Allmon-Dugger Hively Funeral Home in Carrollton.

Wilhelmina G. McGraw. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. David Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. William M. Fowler
William M. Fowler, age 82, of Canton, died peacefully in his sleep, Wednesday Aug. 7, 2002. An avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. A former Class A baseball player, he also enjoyed bowling with his wife, Margaret and spending winters in Florida. A graduate of McKinley High School, Class of '39, and veteran of the U.S. Army during W.W. II. In 1978, he retired from the Timken Co. Preceded in death by his parents, Conrad B. and Esther (Crowl) Fowler; brother, Robert A. Fowler and sister, Evelyn Brendle. Survived by his wife, Margaret P. Fowler; daughter and son-in-law, John and Karen Carrante of AZ; Stepdaughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Anthony Bogovich; stepsons, Michael P. Byers and fiancée, Linda Robinson, Terry Forehope and fiancée, Linda Miller of Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Conrad and Mary Fowler; sister, Ethalinda Mosteller; sisters-in-law, Mildred Fowler and Betty Tisevich; grandchildren, Jeff (wife-Sonya) Erskine of AZ, Lee M. and John M. Carrante both of AZ, Michael A. (wife-Andrea) Bogovich, Michelle R. Bogovich of GA., Gina M. (husband-Michael) Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Tyler, and Sage Erskine, Taylor and Morgan Bogovich, Michael and Matthew Bledsoe; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church. The funeral procession will form at the church Monday morning. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in the Schneeberger Funeral Home Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. A gentle man, Bill was loved by all his family, who will cherish his memory.

Fred Krivoski
Fred Krivoski, age 88, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday evening in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Annabell, WV on Sept. 27, 1913. He was a long time resident of Nemacolin, PA and had lived in the North Canton area for the last 13 years. He was a 44 year employee of LTV serving as Chief Storekeeper and Purchasing Agent for the Buckeye Coal Co. in Pennsylvania. Fred is survived by his wife, Louise (Kociolek), with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage on May 29, 2002; daughters, Bonita (Vincent) Andreani of North Canton, Vicki Krivoski and her husband, William (Bill) Smith of Oceanside, CA; three brothers, Mitch (Jean) Krivoski of Greensburg, PA, Duke (Irene) Krivoski of Princeton, KY, Bill (Sophie) Krivoski of Enon Valley, PA; one sister, Daisy Toth of Yardley, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was cremated. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2 p.m. at Karlo Son Funeral Home. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
