Anthony A. Brown
Anthony A. Brown, age 38, of Navarre, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, unexpectedly in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was a life resident of the Stark County area, employed by Northern Valley Construction Co., member of the North Industry Sportsman Club and the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Union, Local #5. He is survived by one daughter, Ashley Nicole Brown of Aurora, CO; his parents, Stanley and Pauline Brown of Ft. Worth, TX; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Brad Carlson, Kelly and James Garcia, all of Ft. Worth, TX; maternal grandmother, Marie H. Brown of Alliance; his life companion, Janet Gray of Navarre; four nieces; one great-nephew; numerous aunts; uncles and cousins. A Memorial service will be Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Friends may call one hour before the services on Saturday 12-1 p.m.
Charles Lyons
Charles (Charlie) Lyons, age 85, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Doctors Hospital. He was born in Alliance, Nov. 19, 1916, to the late Raymond and Irma (Knoll) Lyons. Charlie was retired from Miller Sales in Massillon. He was a member of the Louisville Eagles, Louisville VFW Post #693. He served as a Trustee for the Buckeye Country Music Assoc. and was active with the Meals on Wheels Program in Louisville. He recently attended his 20th family reunion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; a daughter, Kathaleen (Kathy) Cowley; a son, Gary Lyons; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother. He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Faye (Lucky) Senter of Arizona, JoAnn Rodocker of Canton, Peggy and Fred Bryant of Canton; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Cindy Lyons of Green, OH; a sister, Hazel Lashley of Louisville; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Ester Cain of Louisville; a special nephew, James Lashley of Canton and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Pastor Donald George officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
Ivory M. Loy
Ivory M. Loy. Services will be Friday (tonight) at 8 p.m. in the Schneeberger Funeral Home. Chaplain Paul E. Rudy of Aultman Hospice will officiate. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. before services. Burial will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Salem, WV. The family suggests memorials be made to Aultman Hospice, 4510 Dressler Rd. N.W. Canton 44718-2546.
Lois M. Renard
Lois M. (Reese) Renard, age 79, formerly of Canton, moving to Sarasota, FL in 1963 and recently returning to Canton, passed away Wednesday morning in the Emergency Room at Aultman Hospital. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Glenna Reese of Perry Heights; son Hal Reese of North Canton; sister, Lillian Myers, with whom she resided in Sarasota, FL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nellie Finney; sister, Helen Dragomire; brother, Kenneth Finney. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in West Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. Private viewing for the family will be held Saturday at 9 a,m. in the Reed Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

Robert R. Sanders
Robert R. Sanders, age 58, of Canton, died Thursday, July 4, 2002 in his home following an extended illness. Born July 13, 1943 to Robert T. and Wauldine A. (Fite) Sanders. He was a life resident of the Canton area, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1961. He attended Ohio State University and a graduate of Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1964, He was the owner/operator of Kreighbaum-Sanders and Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Homes for 30 years and was a licensed funeral director for 38 years. Life member of the 38th St. Church of Christ , where he was a former Deacon. Member and past president of the Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc., District 16, charter member and past president of the Canton South Rotary Club, member of the Canton South Lions Club for 30 years and the Lincoln Alumni, Emeritus Trustee of Canton South YMCA and past Trustee of the Canton area YMCA. Recipient of the YMCA Central Stark County Red Triangle Award and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Sanders; his stepfather, Arthur Flinn. Survived by his wife, Bonnie J. (Riley) Sanders to whom he was married 40 years; two sons and daughters-in-law, R. Scott and Julie Sanders of East Canton, Randall J. and Heidi Sanders of Bolivar; daughter and son-in-law, Deanne and Mark Martin of Canton; five grandsons, Chase, Brock, Drew, Adam and Jack Sanders; mother Wauldine A. Flinn of Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Ronnie Woods of Navarre; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Jodi Flinn of Canton. Funeral services will be Monday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the 38th St. Church of Christ, 3904 38th St. NW, Canton, OH 44718 with Lance Lindenberger officiating. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before the services at the church (9:30-10:30 a.m.). Ruth I. Moock
Ruth I. Moock, age 93, formerly of Canton, OH passed away Wednesday afternoon in the Forest Hill Alzheimer's Center in Columbus, OH. Born in Canton on Dec. 14, 1908, she was a retired buyer for the Casual Corner in Canton, retiring after 15 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moock, Sr., Oct. 24, 1970; a daughter, Beverly Moats; sister, Nadine Kraft. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Connie Moock of Lewis Center, OH; brother, Barney Kraft of Canton; one grandson; two great-children. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Thomas officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Vera E. Rae
Vera E. Rea, age 88, of Jackson Twp., died Wed. July 3, 2002 at Massillon Community Hospital. She was born June 9, 1914 in Harrisville, Ohio, was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles. She loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Vickers and Ethel (Gummere) Sloan, her husband John Rea (died 1997) and her sister Anna Mae Miller. She is survived by daughter, Nancy Forester, daughter and son in law, Vicki and Ed Hoover, sons and daughters in law, Skip and Glenna Rea, and Don and Darlene Rea all of Jackson Twp., thirteen grandchildren, Jeff (Brenda), Krista, Jamie (Angela), Tara, Stacy Rea; Tammy (Christopher) Spoerri, Tiffany (Shane) Reynolds; Holly (Richard) Suarez; Heather (Rob) Sucharzewski, John (Jodi), Jason (Sharon), and Joshua Hoover, Justin Kristoff, and twenty-one great-grandchildren, Monique, Alex, Olivia, Isabelle, Megan, Sean, Spencer, Heath, Kurtis, Katie, Kristian, Payton, Alec, Aubrey, Brandon, Bradley Haley, Hannah, Sarah, Bailey, and Alexa. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2002 (tonight) 7 to 9 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Service, Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Rd. N.W. (Rt 241), Massillon. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
