Cynthia Ann Bendetta A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church,, North Canton, with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke and Fr. James McKarns officiating. Burial in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Karlo Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church, 241 South Main St., North Canton, OH 44720 or Canton Women's Club, 822 North Market Ave., Canton, OH 44702.

Dale D. Cumpson
Dale D. Cumpson, age 75, of Minerva, died in his home, Sunday, June 23, 2002 following a long illness. Born in Barberton, OH, May 16, 1927, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mae (Thomas) Cumpson. He was a retired Structural Engineer for Fleming Foods, a member of American Legion Post 357, the Masonic Lodge in Akron and was a World War II Navy veteran. Survived by his wife, Ida (Kropp) Cumpson; sons, Daniel Cumpson of Georgia, Michael (Lynn) Cumpson of Virginia, Patrick (Connie) Cumpson of Chesterland, OH, Douglas (Jessie) Cumpson of Georgia, Kevin (Debbie) Cumpson of Minerva; daughters, Kathleen Turner of Uniontown, Peggy (Richard) Bell of Akron, Connie (Rick) Robinson of Texas, Carolyn (Ron) Dongworth of Georgia; stepson, Richard (Mary) Lloyd of Massillon; stepdaughter, Kaye Lloyd of Florida; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, Neil and Jim. Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice. Following cremation, a private memorial service was held. Daniel Bradley Hupp
Daniel Bradley Hupp, age 30, of Minerva, died Saturday, June 22, 2002 from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Massillon, OH, Oct. 27, 1971, he was the son of John and Donna Jean (Lones) Hupp. He worked as a Roofer at Advanced Industrial Roofing. Survived by his mother and stepfather, Donna and Larry Switzer, with whom he resided; father and stepmother, John and Wilma Hupp of North Industry; sister, Sally (Ralph) Lewis of Waynesburg; brother, Ron (Arleen) Hupp of North Industry; stepsister, Stevie Switzer of the home; niece Cassandra Lewis; nephew, Traveler Lewis, both of Waynesburg; step grandmothers, Justiina Lones of Canton, Betty Switzer of Carrollton and many loving aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by brother, David Eugene Hupp and cousin, David Eugene Lones. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Kull officiating. Burial in Sherrodsville Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Garret J. Nidy
Garret Joseph Nidy, age 4, of Willoughby. Born, May 19, 1998 in Cleveland and passed away June 21, at the Cleveland Clinic. Survived by his parents, Joseph and Joanne (Patrizi); his sisters, Emma and Claire; grandparents, Carol and Joseph Patrizi of Lyndhurst, alan Nidy of North canton, Veverly Nidy of Massillon; his uncles and aunts, Joe Patrizi, Jr. of Lyndhurst, James and Melissa Patrizi of Stow, Doug and Kim Nidy of North Canton; his cousins Jake and Kyla Nidy of North Canton. Garret was a special friend to all whose lives he touched. Interment in All Souls Cemetery. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Willoughby United Methodist Church. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Fioritto Funeral Home, 5236 Mayfield Rd. Lyndhurst (east of Richmond Rd.). Jan Tobi Collins
Jan Tobi Collins, age 48, of Canton, died Friday evening following an extended illness. Born March 7, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA She was a member of the Native American Heritage Assoc., St. Joseph's Indian School and the Eastern Paradise Veterans Assoc. Preceded in death by her father, Jim Able; son-in-law, Ricky Andrade. Survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Lisa Collins, Linda and Ernie Amos, all of Canton; two grandchildren, Ray Red Crow and Jeffrey Amos; her mother, Jan Rushing of California; special friends, John Miller, Paul Wells, Barry Mayle and a circle of others surviving. the family will receive friends Tuesday 7-9 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home.

John H. Sisler.,Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW with Fr. Bradley Helman officiating. Entombment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Lillian Rossi
Lillian Rossi, age 91, of Grover city, CA, passed away peaceably with her family at her side on Thursday, June 20, 2002 after an extended illness. She had been a resident of California for a number of years. She was the beloved wife of Guy Rossi (a former Canton resident and former employee of the Canton Post Office) with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage; beloved mother of son, Daryl Rossi of Yorba Linda, CA; daughters, Diane Denman of Sacrament, CA, and Jackie Johnson of Grover City, CA; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her family. Interment will take place on June 28 at Los Oss Memorial Cemetery. For further information contact the Rossi Funeral Home.

Mabel Waltenbaugh
Mabel V. Waltenbaugh. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in North Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Chester Harris officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Dueber United Methodist Church. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Housley
Margaret Mary (Pittinger) Housley, age 76, passed away Saturday June 22, 2002. she was born in Akron. Margaret was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert; sons, James (Patricia), Thomas (Joyce), Charles (Caroline), Donald (Janene); daughters, Jean (John) Ridenour, Susan (Mark) ; grandchildren, Philip, Daniel, Justin, Lauren, Jonathan, Kelly, Lindsey, Kyle, Courtney, Natalie and Corinne. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd. and 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment in Holy cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Mary Bourlas Elite. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday (today), June 24, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, by Rev. Fr. Michael Pastrikos. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday (tonight) 6-8:00 p.m. at Spiker - Foster -Shriver Funeral Home on 4817 Cleveland Ave, NW. Rev. Fr. Sue Garres
Sue (Danielak) Garres, passed away June 21, 2002. She was born in Willkes Barre, PA. She was a self employed caterer in the Akron area for many years. She was know as Teta sue to her church family at St. Nicholas, where she was a lifelong member. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Aid and Gold Star Wives of America. She loved bingo, fishing and baseball and played ball for the B.F. Goodrich Ladies Baseball Team. She will be remembered for her loving kindness, cheerful disposition and great sense of humor. Preceded in death by her husband, Peter Garres. Survived by her loving daughter, Susan Joyce (Kent) Forest; grandsons, Bill and Kevin; sister, Eva Benny of Oceanside, CA; many nieces, nephews and special friends at Danbury of North Canton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas orthodox church, where the body will lie in state one hour prior to the services. Very Rev. Fr. T Stephen Kopestonsky officiating. Interment in St. Nicholas Cemetery. the family will receive friends Monday (tonight) 5-9 p.m. in the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd., where a Parastas service will be held at 6 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Nicholas Cemetery Maintenance Fund.

Ted W. Ewers
Ted W. Ewers, age 79, of Holiday, FL, passed away Saturday morning following an extended illness. Ted was born Aug. 20, 1922 in Canton to Alva and Nina (Wolf) Ewers. He was a 1942 graduate of McKinley High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he was stationed in Brazil and flew reconnaissance off the coast of South America. In 1949 Mr. Ewers graduated from Ohio State University with degree in Marketing and Advertising. He was the owner of several restaurants and concessions in the Canton area and formerly served as president of the Stark County Restaurant Assoc. In 1965 Ted joined the Sales division of Guarantee Life Insurance Co., where he won many awards including Man of the Year. In 1968 he was promoted to vice president of the company. In 1971 Mr. Ewers moved to California where he became president of Universal Financial Management and retired from there in 1984. In 1999 he and his son, Dennis moved to Holiday, FL. Preceded in death by his wife, Marion of 52 years. Survived by sons and a daughter-in-law, Don and Cheryl of Canton, Douglas of Malvern, Dennis of Holiday, FL; his only grandson, Michael of Canton. A memorial service will be held Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Holiday, FL with Rev. Alan Piondexter officiating.
