Allen Eli Alley Cat Huddleston. Friends may call one hour before services on Friday from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Ann Murphy-Henman officiating. As were his wishes, Allen will be cremated.

Betty L. Harner
Betty L. Harner, age 87, of Canton, OH, formerly of Urbana, OH, died Wed. June 5, 2002 at 10:55 p.m. in Mercy Medical Center, Canton, less than two months after her husband, William N. Harner died. She was born Feb. 26, 1915 in and adopted by William and Mabel (Carpenter) Sowers. She was retired from Crow Publishing Co. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Urbana, OH. She was a Buckeye Trails Girl Scout Leader for over 20 years and past president of American Legion Post Auxiliary #741. Preceded in death by her twin sister, Gwen. Survived by her children. Janet (Gary) Smith of Canton, Kathryn Harner of Batavia, OH; grandchildren, Jonathan Smith and Kimberly Smith, both of Canton; four nieces; one nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 12 Noon in the Walter-Schoedinger Funeral Home. A Dignity Memorial Provider, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, OH, where the family will receive friends from 10-12 Noon. Rev. Gordon Thomas will officiate and burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Byron G. Tzangas
Byron George Tzangas, age 39, of Columbus, OH, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 4, 2002, after a sudden illness. He was born in Canton on June 27, 1962, and has been a resident of Columbus since attending Ohio State University. He was self-employed as a Wholesale Distributor for paper products. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Columbus, OH. He was a graduate of Glenoak High School in 1980; and attended Ohio State University. He was also a member of the Rotary Club in Dublin-Worthington. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Greenwell) Tzangas; a daughter, Victoria Claire; and son, Weston George Tzangas of Columbus; brother, John Tzangas of Salt Lake City, UT; sister and brother-in-law, Marianne and Terry Weiss of Findlay, OH; nephew and niece, Theodore and Julia Weiss. Services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Demetrios Gardikes officiating. Graveside services will be held in Canton at Werstler Cemetery on 55th St. and Middlebranch Rd. NE. Friends may call Sunday 5-7 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Grandville Road, Columbus. There will be a Trisagion Prayer Service on Sunday evening in the funeral home. The ROSSI Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.

David W. Clegg
David W. Clegg, age 55, of North Canton, died Wednesday afternoon in his residence after an extended illness. Born in Akron, OH., David had resided here for the past 16 years. A graduate of North High School and the University of Akron, David had been a teacher at Alliance High School where he also coached track, cross country and swimming. For the past nine years David was a teacher, track, cross country and swimming coach at Hoover High School. David was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, and the North Canton Elk's. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Judy Clegg of the residence; son, Robert Lose of Washington, DC; two daughters, Mrs. David (Heather) Corey of Akron and Ms Katie Clegg of Columbus; grandson, Jacob Corey; mother, Elizabeth Clegg of Green, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Ken (Ellen) Isbell of Springboro, OH., and Mrs. Doug (Susie) Shepard of Green, OH; brother, James (Julie) Clegg of Akron. A memorial service will be Monday 10 a.m. in Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Moody-Arndt officiating. A private entombment will be in the North Lawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Monday. PLEASE, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dave Clegg Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Treasurer of North Canton Board of Education, 525 - 7th St. N.E., North Canton, OH 44720. The Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Epsie Mae Bell
Epsie Mae Bell, 64. Funeral services will be Saturday June 8, 2002 at 11 a.m. in Union Baptist Church, 413 Cornelia Ave NE. Calling hours are one hour prior to services (10-11 a.m.). at the church with Rev. Sherman Martin Jr. officiating. Interment will be at North Lawn Cemetery. The family request that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association at 4916 Hills and Dales Rd. Canton, OH 44708 in the name of Epsie M. Bell.

Hans H. Stach
Hans H. Stach, age 82, of North Canton, passed away Thursday morning in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Wanne Eichel, Germany, a son of the late Herman and Marie Mrosek Stach, and came to the United States and Canton in 1924. He retired in 1987 from Hercules Engines, after 14 years service, where he was an electrician. Hans also was a self-employed television repairman. He served with the Army Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter, in 2001, and Ervin, in 1996. Survived by his wife, Virginia A. Stach, with whom he would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on June 22nd, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Tovissi officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Stach's memory may be made to your favorite charity.

James A. Seevers
James Andrew Andy Seevers, age 22, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the home. Born in Canton, on February 22, 1980, he had attended Louisville High School. He was an avid drag racing fan along with his dad, Don. Survivors include his parents, Don and Mary Seevers of Canton; his brother, Fred Seevers of Canton; and his grandmother, Dorothy Seevers of Louisville; there are several aunts, uncles and cousins also surviving. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. The family will receive prior to services on Saturday from 12-2 p.m.

Lonnie C. Clark
Mr. Lonnie Charles (L.C.) Clark, 77, departed this life on Thursday evening, May 30, 2002 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He was born in Bessas County, Bambridge, GA to Robert Lee Son Clark and Ms. Thelma Bell on June 21, 1924. He served in the Korean War, World War II and was a First Class Sergeant. He attended Kent State University for two years and was in the Millright School Apprenticeship Program at LTV Steel. He was united in holy matrimony to Catherine Williams, October 2, 1952 and to this union was born four children. He was preceded in death by his father, Son Clark; mother, Thelma Bell; brothers, Ernie Clark, Wallace Clark; sisters, Bertha Mae, Polly Clark, Lillie C. Clark, Rosie Lee Ameer, Mae Thelma Chavers and Edna Pearl Clark; stepmother, Elizabeth Bell; stepfather, Thaddeus Bell. He leaves to mourn, devoted wife of 50 years, Catherine Clark of the home; one son, Curtis L. Clark of Los Angeles, CA; three daughters, Deborah A. (Thomas) Parker of Canton, OH, Saundra L. Clark-Kamaly of Chicago, IL and Cathy R. Clark-Llewellyn (Brian) Jones of Canton, OH; six grandchildren, Teri L. Parker-Kimbrough of Canton, OH, Thomas Michael Parker of Chicago, IL, Sean Curtis Milton (Danielle) Parker of Canton, OH, Jerome J. (Romie) Clark of Pittsburgh, PA, Andrea M. (Red) Llewellyn and Carmella Catherine Llewellyn, both of Canton, OH; three great-grandchildren, Katelynn Margaret Deborah Kimbrough, Austin Jerome Martin Kimbrough and Portia Janae Parker; two sisters, Agnes Oliver of Canton, OH and Ludetha Carter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; special friend Big Head the dog. He also leaves to cherish his memory, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7, 2002 at 12 Noon at St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church, 1800 E. Tuscarawas, with Rev. Melvin Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 3423 Dueber Ave. SW, Canton, OH 44706.

Luella M. Farber
Luella M. Farber, age 79, of North Canton, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center, Canton, after a sudden illness. She was born April 3, 1923, in Jackson Twp., OH, and had been a life resident of Jackson. She was a homemaker. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, AARP, New Beginnings at John Knox Church, and the Jackson Twp. Historical Society. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Dr. Victor Wallace of North Canton, OH; four grandchildren, Sommer Johnson of Canton, OH, Alex Wallace of North Canton, OH, Erin Wallace of Cincinnati, OH and Virginia Wallace of North Canton, OH; two nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Paul Farber in 1981; mother, Elizabeth Strouble; father, William Strouble; two brothers; two sisters; and one niece. Funeral services will be at John Knox Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Douglas Patton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2002 at Heitger Funeral Service-Jackson Chapel, and one hour before on Saturday at the church.

Marcella M. Aman
Marcella M. Aman, age 91, of Hartville, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2002 in Aultman Hospital. She was born March 8, 1911 in Randolph, OH to the late Joseph and Nellie (Wise) Adolph. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and had recently resided at Altercare of Hartville. She is survived by her sisters, Florence Hoff and Alice McCoy, both of Ravenna, and Helen VanLehn of Canton; brothers, Robert Adolph of Kent, Sylvan Adolph of Hartville; numerous nieces, nephews, stepchildren and step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Homer Aman in 1969; sister, Clara Rudis; and brothers, Edmund, Raymond, Paul, and Clem Adolph. Friends may call Friday (TODAY) 5-8 p.m. in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Fete celebrant. Final Resting Place is Calvary Cemetery.

Mary Minter
Mary Christine Minter, age 93, formerly of Massillon, OH, died Wednesday, June 5th in Marion, OH. She was born November 26, 1908, in Navarre, OH, to Christine and William Noftsinger. Mary was a homemaker and the mother of two children, John Minter of Marion and Carole Tripp of San Francisco, CA. She has two grandchildren, John Minter of Columbus, OH and Anne Minter of Oxford, OH. Her husband of 61 years, Ammon (Whitey) Minter preceded her in death in November of 2000. Mary was a charter member of the Women's Auxiliary, Massillon Elks Lodge 441. She also served the Stark County Board of Elections for 20 years, first as a poll worker and later as head judge. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Massillon. A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery Sat. 10 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Methodist Church of Massillon and the Alzheimer's Association.

Paul E. Gilmor
Paul Emerson Gilmor, age 83, of Advance, NC, formerly of North Canton, OH, died March 6, 2002, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a retired president and general manager of the WHBC AM-FM radio stations in Canton. Mr. Gilmor, the husband of Florence Weir Gilmore, was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Alexandria, Egypt, to the late Dr. Paul Emerson Gilmor and Esther McCracken Gilmor, who were working as missionaries. The family lived in the Suden and Ethiopia before moving back to the United States when Mr. Gilmor was eight years old. He graduated from Canal Fulton High School in 1936 and from Washington and Jefferson College in 1940, where he earned a degree in political science. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He served four years in the Army, beginning in the infantry and later serving in the Signal Corps Aircraft Warning Unit attached to the Air Force, as First Lieutenant. In 1945 Mr. Gilmor married Florence E. Weir and in 1946 he joined WHBC as a salesman. He became sales manager, then worked as president and general manager for 23 years before retiring in 1983. He served as the president of the Ohio Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters and was national chairman of the ABC Radio Affiliates Advisory Board. He was named Ad Man of the Year by the Advertising Club and the Better Business Bureau and was a former president of the Canton Advertising Club. In retirement, he was named to the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He was active in Christ Presbyterian Church as an Elder and Boy Scout Scoutmaster. He was a member of the Masonic Trinity Lodge and was a former member of Kiwanis, Brookside Country Club, Oakwood Country Club and the Canton Club. He also served as chairman of the Malone College Lecture and Civic Advisory Boards. In retirement, he worked on the literacy and food ministry committees of Christ Presbyterian Church and joined the Retired Executive and Professional Men's Club. In the late 1990's, Mr. and Mrs. Gilmor moved from their home on Lorrell Avenue in North Canton to the Danbury retirement community. They lived there for three years before moving to the Bermuda Village retirement committee in Advance, NC. Mr. Gilmor was fond of saying that his hobbies in retirement included counting pills and napping. Mr. Gilmor is survived by his wife of 56 years; his daughter, Mary Gilmor of New Windsor, NY and her husband, Steven Weinrit; his son, John Gilmor of Millerton, NY and his wife, Jan; his daughter, Susan Gilmor of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandson, Christopher Ward of New Windsor, NY; his granddaughter, Jennifer Ward of Alhambra, CA; his sister, Esther Jane Gilmor Leffler of Massillon and her husband, Dr. Richard Leffler. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Wishart Gilmor of Massillon and his wife, Evelyn. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Christ Presbyterian Church, 530 Tuscarawas W., Canton, OH, with Pastor Rusty Cowden and Rev. Douglas A. Patton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church or to a charity of choice. A reception for friends will follow the service. The Arnold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rosalie Peterson
Rosalie Peterson, age 80, of North Canton, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002. Arrangements are pending with Karlo Sons Funeral Home.

Ruth V. Means
Ruth V. Means, age 85, of Louisville, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2002 at the home of her daughter, Mary S. Matthews in Louisville, where she had lived for the past several years. Ruth was born May 9, 1917 in Montrose, WV, to the late Philip and Virginia (Phillips) Runner. She was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church, the White Shrine and a local neighborhood club known as the Crystal Club. Ruth leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and Ray Matthews of Louisville; a son, Terry Means of Florida; a brother, Homer Isner of Canton South; two grandchildren, John Meador and his girlfriend, Tiffany Grimsley of Canton and Terry K. Means; and several nieces and nephews, including Sheila Buck and Sheryl Huffman, both of Ellersie, MD. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Wiley M. Means who passed away in 1983; two sisters, Mabel Grella and Eva Strawderman; and four brothers, Porter, Creed, Clifford and Elza Runner. Funeral services for Ruth will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Charles Graham of Fairhope United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home where White Shrine Services will be conducted at 4:45 p.m. and Eastern Star Services at 6:45 p.m.

Tom A. Trascik
Tom A. Trascik, age 49, of Nokomis, FL, died June 5, 2002. He was born February 8, 1953 in Canton, OH. Survived by his wife, Nancy Trascik, to whom he was married for 23 years; daughter, Cassandra Trascik and son, Nicholas Trascik, both of Nokomis; mother, Bettie Trascik of Canton, OH; mother-in-law, Evelyn Nazaruk of Venice; two sisters, Carol Fout and Jane Welch, both of Canton; two brothers, Frank Trascik, Jr. and Scott Trascik, both of Canton. Services and Interment will be held Saturday, Venice, Florida.

William M. Wright. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, Rev. Raymond L. Tucker officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by the Reed Funeral Home.
