Casmir T. Moldovan
Casmir T. Moldovan, age 59, of East Canton, died Sunday evening in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Son of the late, John and Lucille (Monday) Moldovan. He was a life resident of the Canton and East Canton area, retiring from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Genny S. (Henderson) to whom he was married 37 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Angela Moldovan of East Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Paul Hunter of Portage Lakes; four grandchildren, Tony, Bryce and Dallas Moldovan, Courtney Hunter; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Georgeann Moldovan of N. Canton; his mother-in-law, Victoria Walker; five sisters-in-law, Rosalie Koren, Mary Greathouse, Linda Henderson, Beverly and husband, Joe Kress, Kathy and husband, Bernie Crilley; one brother-in-law, Ken and spouse, Beverly Henderson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the North Canton Church of Christ at 1301 East Maple St., North Canton, with Michael Mareno officiating. The Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton is in charge of arrangements.

David Long
David Dave M. Long, age 30, of Middletown, OH, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Long was born November 7, 1971 in Canton, OH, the son of Michael and Mary (Loudiana) Long. He graduated from Hoover High School in 1990, Bowling Green State University in 1994, and earned his Master's Degree in 1998 from Marygrove College in Michigan. He was the president of Pigskin-Roundball Spectacular, coached football at Middletown High School from 1994 until 2000, was involved with numerous activities at Middletown High School in 2001. Mr. Long was a social studies teacher at Middletown High School, a student government advisor, and started the Spirit Squad. He was a Crystal Apple Award Winner, and was honored with the All American Weekend President's Award. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Mary Long of North Canton; a sister, Lynette Long of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandmother, Dorothy Long of Massillon; two aunts and an uncle, Julie Border, Mary Lou and Michael Loudiana, all of Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church, North Canton with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke officiating. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. in the Karlo Sons Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the David Long Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Pigskin-Roundball Spectacular, 530 North Marshall Road, Middletown, OH 45042.

Irene T. Snyder
Irene T. Snyder. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Center Church of the Brethren, 2801 Ravenna Ave. NE, Louisville, OH, with Rev. Andrew Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Center Church Cemetery. Calling hours at the Reed Funeral Home Tuesday (tonight) 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in her name to the Center Church of the Brethren.

Isabelle Fowler
Isabelle Fowler. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Jenna Meisner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home Tuesday (tonight) 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Heart Assoc.

James M. Reich Sr.
James M. Reich Sr., age 61, of Indian Shores, FL., passed away Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2002, in the residence following an extended illness. Born in Akron, Ohio, May 26, 1941, to his parents the late Joseph and Margaret (Shinn) Reich, he lived most of his life in the Canton area moving to Indian Shores, Florida in 1997. Jim was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., retiring in 1996 after 35 years of service and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James M. Reich Jr., May 10, 1996. Survivors include his loving wife, Marla Reich of the home, to whom he was married 38 years; his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and William Youels of Stow, OH; two brothers, Joe Reich of Nevada, Ron Reich of Texas; two sisters, Nancy Fridlin of Alabama, Sandy Thornton of Clinton, OH; two grandchildren, Joshua Reich and Chelsee Reich; numerous nieces and nephews also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Patton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours at the funeral home Wednesday 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in his name to the Trust Fund for the college education of his grandchildren, Joshua and Chelsee Reich, c/o First Union, 14147 Walsingham Road, Largo, FL 33774.

Kay (Halter) Brown
Kay Lynn (Halter) Brown, age 38, of Dallas, GA, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Halter. Survivors include her husband, John; twin children, Lindsey and Michael all of the home; father, Daniel and Becky Halter of Canton; mother, Kathy and Tim Popick of Dallas, GA; two sisters, Veronica Martin of Greensville, SC, Cindy Halter of Dallas, GA; stepsister, Trina Wheeler of Dallas, GA; one stepbrother, Joe Popick of Canton; mother-in-law, Irene Brown of Marietta, GA; maternal grandmother, Norma McBee of Dallas, GA. Funeral services were handled in Dallas, GA.

Laurence E. Blate
Laurence Erlanger Blate, age 59, of Elkader, IA, formerly of Canton, OH, died May 31, 2002. He attended Jackson Grade School and Glenwood High School and the Coyne Institute in Chicago. He was employed by Diebolds until his retirement. Beloved husband of Lyneen; adored son of Jerome Blate and the late Janet Erlanger Altman. Dear brother of North Canton; loving step-father to Alan (Lora) Glenn, Dale Glenn and Todd (Alida) Glenn and grandfather to Joshua, Kristy, James, Jacklyn, Matthew, and Alyssa. Cherished uncle of Michelle, Michael, Don, Gregory, Richard and Kevin Blate; and great uncle of five nieces and nephews. Private services will be held Tuesday.

Leah A. Hynes
Leah A. Hynes, age 88 of Canton, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born December 1, 1913 in Canton, to the late George and Freida Sigelmier. She worked in the X-ray dept. at Mercy and Timken Mercy Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Hynes, brothers, Paul Sigelmier and George Sigelmier. She is survived by sister-in-law, June Sigelmier; nieces, Jill Shepard, Joan Collard, Carol Lechich-LeMar, Sandy LaFollette, and Deb Sigelmier; nephews, Jan Sigelmier, George Sigelmier, Michael Sigelmier, many close friends including Marge, Harold, Delores, Gutherie, and Debbie Whitmer and family. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. John Nentwick as celebrant. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wackerly Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her name to Mercy Medical Center, for the Tree of Life Donation Fund. Leone Conrad
Leone Sis Conrad, age 94, of Canton, died Sunday morning in Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Magnolia, she had been a Canton resident since 1930. Before her marriage she had been a teacher in the Magnolia School system. She was a charter member of St. Michael's Catholic Church; St. Michael's Guild and St. Michael's Garden Club, a member of the Canton Women's Club and the Columbus Women's Club, and a former member of the Circle of Mercy and the Timken Mercy Service League. She was the widow of Joseph L. Conrad who died in 1970. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Caroline and Dennis Spragg, and Joann and William Bertsch, all of Canton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Ann and John W. Sponseller, and Joseph C. and Kathleen Bertsch, all of Canton, Christopher and Candace Spragg of Cumming, GA, and Susan and James Richardson of Tucker, GA: five great-grandchildren, Emily, Sarah and Joseph Bertsch, and Chelsea and Cassandra Spragg. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Carrie Degenhard, and three brothers, Roy, John and Ned Degenhard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Bradford Helman as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Milton F. Leaman
Milton F. Leaman, age 83, of North Canton, passed away Monday morning in McKinley Life Care Center. He was born March 31, 1919 in Massillon to the late Clarence and Matilda (Stein) Leaman and has been a lifetime area resident. Milton was the lead claim agent for B O Railroad and worked as a lease man for M.B. Oil Gas Company. He was a 1936 McKinley High School graduate and attended Kent State University. Milton was a member of NRA, John Birch society, volunteered for the Ohio Republican Party, was a Mason and avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Barbara Leaman; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Chris Leaman of North Canton and a grandson Nathan Leaman. Funeral services will be Wednesday 12:00 noon in the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton with Rev. Richard Scherpenisse officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Garden. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mr. Harry G. George
Mr. Harry G. George, age 73, of Keokuk Court, St. Cloud, FL, died Sunday June 2, 2002 at St. Cloud Hospital. Mr. George was a roofer in the roofing industry. Born in Carrol County, OH, he moved to the Central Florida area in 1982 from Canton, Ohio. He was Presbyterian. Survivors wife, Bonnie George, St. Cloud; daughter, Susan Dillon, Alliance, OH; sons, Gale George Tucson, AZ, Christopher George of North Canton; step-daughters, Debi Harrison of St. Cloud, FL, Lisa Davison of Loxahatchee, FL, Lori Hutchinson of Daytona Beach, Dawn Umbarger, Kissimmee; step-son, Douglas Christia of Lawtey, FL; sister, Eileen Mariol of Palm Bay, FL; brother, Jack George of Lebanon, TN; 16 grandchildren. Arrangements under the direction of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Cloud.

Rev. William J. Kress Jr.
Rev. William J. Kress Jr., age 65, of North Canton, went home to be with The Lord Friday, May 31, 2002. Survived by his wife, Rev. Mary Louise; 5 children, Robert, James, William James III, Theresa, and Tina; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas; one sister, Mary.. Services will be held Friday at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of The Inn at Belden Village, 3927- 38th St. N.W.

Robert Edwin Magee
Robert Edwin Magee, 53, of West Hills, CA., died May 1, 2002, in his home, following complications due to cancer. He was born January 1, 1949, in Canton, OH., to Robert and Patricia (Godwin) Magee. He was a graduate of Carrollton High School and Ohio State University, with a Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He Served in the Air Force and was employed as an Engineer/Scientist at the Rocketdyne Division of the Boeing Corporation in Canoga Park, CA. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Papai) Magee, to whom he was married November 10, 1072; two sons, Robert and Stephen of the home; his parents, Robert (Linda) Magee of Malvern and Patricia Magee of Stow; three sisters, Barbara (Ralph) Maple of Malvern, Nancy (Randy) Miller of Dellroy, and Beth Ann (Howell) of Stow; his mother-in-law, Ethel Papai of Dellroy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and in-laws.

Terry A. Bucci
Terry A. Bucci, age 55, died tragically in Killbuck Creek, Millersburg, OH in April of 2002. Born in Canton, OH on July 18, 1946, he was a popular member of the Lehman H.S. Marching Band and a graduate of Kent State university. Terry also served overseas with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. A beloved son and brother. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony A. Bucci. Survived by his mother, Kathleen; sister, Judy (Bucey); and brother, Todd (Bucey). Terry's ashes will be spread in his beloved Hawaii. Services provided by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, OH.

Wanda J. Minor
Wanda J. (Wanie) Minor. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at 12 Noon at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, where Pastor Corey Johnson will be officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Condolences may be sent to and the procession will form at 1505 5th St. NE, Canton 44704. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
