Audrey A. Abbott. Private funeral services, for the family, will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. James Ford officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, her wishes were that donations may be made to the Maryland Ave. Baptist Church.
Calvin H. Jones
Calvin H. Jones, age 78, of Dellroy, OH, died June 1, 2002, at his home from a lengthy illness. Born in Strasburg, OH, Feb. 28, 1924, to the late William and Mila (Machan) Jones, he was a 1942 graduate of Bolivar High School and was president of his graduating class. He was a self-employed local businessman and farmer. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corp. He was a Captain and a pilot of a B-24 airplane. Member of the East Sparta Christian Church, East Sparta, OH. Preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette J. (Lundenberger) Jones, on Aug. 14, 2000 and brother, McDonald Jones Mac. Survivors include his son, Keith and wife, Sandra Jones, of Dellroy, OH; daughters, Susan and husband, David Sepesi, of Whitmore Lake, MI, Gail and husband, Darrell Moyer, of Waynesburg, OH, Lois and husband, Carl Griffith, of West Lafayette, OH; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; brothers, Allen and wife, Sue Jones, of Mineral City, OH, Glen and wife, Phyllis Jones, of Gibson, PA; sisters, June Richardson of Canton, OH, Donna Renner, Dover, OH, Elizabeth and husband, George Westbrook, of Conway, SC. There will be a private family Memorial service. At Calvin's request, he was cremated. He also requested all donations be made to The Salvation Army, 301 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, OH 44622. Lebold Funeral Home of Bolivar, OH, is in charge of arrangements.

Donald E. Anutta
Donald E. Anutta, age 81, of Navarre, died Friday evening in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Son of the late William and Hattie (Rank) Anutta. He is retired from the Diebold Co., and a member of North Industry Christian Church. He was a World War II Amy Air Corp Veteran. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mae (Dawson) in 2001; one sister, Dorothy Rock. He is survived by his a brother-in-law and his spouse, George Dick and Edna Dawson of North Canton; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on So. Cleveland Ave. with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Duane D. Henke
Duane D. Henke, age 40, of Malvern, OH., died Tuesday in his home after a sudden illness. He was a life resident of Canton before moving to Malvern last year. He was a former employee of Chem Tech Oil Field Chemicals. Survived by a daughter, Amanda Henke of Canton; four sons, Jason Baker (Elaine), Brian Henke (Crystal), and Paul Henke, all of Canton, and Aaron Baker of Augusta, GA; his father, Paul Henke Sr. of Canton; a granddaughter, Lindsay Baker; a grandchild soon to be born; a sister, Tracie Tucker (Timmie) of Mayflower, Arkansas; and a brother, Donald Henke of Canton. Preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Bass, and a brother, Paul Henke Jr. Services will be Monday at 5:00 p.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
Edward B. Coley
Edward Burnice Coley, age 79, of Canton, OH, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning after an extended illness. Born Dec. 14, 1922, in Pike County, KY, moving to Ohio in the 1950's. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas C. and Nell McCarroll Coley; infant grandson, Donald Edward Heidmeyer; brothers, Floyd, Frank, Thomas, Albert, John, Joseph, Robert. He leaves behind to mourn him his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Smith Coley; devoted children, Carol Baker of Canton, Kathy (Donald) Heidmeyer and Edward B. Coley, Jr. of Massillon; cherished grandchildren, Paul Leland Baker, Mary (Michael) Howard, Esther Coley and Amber Kope; special great-grandchildren, Taylor Howard and unborn Baby Howard; brothers, James and George and sister, Alice, Harlow of Kentucky; sister, Emma (Bill) Wesley of Arizona; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends. Edward was retired from Republic Steel in Massillon, where he was a General Foreman at the Oberlin Street Plant. He was a World War II veteran, receiving the Purple Heart as well as other medals and recognitions. Member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Howard officiating. Burial will be in Massillon Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home Monday 6-9 p.m.

Lauren Brooke Kicos, two days of age, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 in Akron Children's Hospital. Survived by parents, Joseph and Christine (Tucci) Kicos of North Canton; sister, Nikki; grandparents, Rick and Doreen Tucci of Massillon, and Gretchen and Bob Humbert of Carrollton; great-grandparents, Betty Tucci of Canton, Ida and John Cice of Canton; and great-grandmother, Susan Huk of Canton; aunts and uncles, Stacey Tucci of Massillon, John Kicos of Charlotte, NC, and James Kicos of Hartville. Leo G. Willison, age 75, of Minerva, died Saturday morning, June 1, 2002, in Canterbury Villa in Alliance following a short illness. He was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Louisville to James and Delora (White) Willison. A former employee of Ford Motor Co. and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife, June Willison; a daughter; two sons; two sisters; three brothers. A Graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the chapel in East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva with full military honors. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
Lillian Bosworth
Lillian B. Bosworth, age 92, of Canton, OH, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2002, in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Burton, OH, April 19, 1910, to her parents the late Jacob Gehring and Nellie John (Mayhew) Walter, she lived most of her life in the Middlefield area, moving to Canton December 1966. She was a member of Grand Temple Pythian Sisters of Ohio, Orange Rebekah Lodge #784. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester D. Bosworth, Jan. 31, 1990; two brothers, Paul and Robert Walter; niece, LaVonne Walter; nephew, Fred Walter. Survivors include her best friends, Bob and Sharon McFarland of Canton, OH; nieces and nephews, Marilyn Boggs, Grace Genua, Elsie Miller, Robert Walter, Mary Ellen Ludwick, Joyce Camero and Jerry Walter. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. John Brownsberger officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.

Nancy Byrd
Nancy (Russ) Byrd, age 61, retired Director of Title I for Leon County Schools, died at home in Crawfordville, FL. Nancy attended McKinley High School and graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in Education, she taught in East Canton for a few years. She moved to Tallahassee, FL where she earned an M.S. degree at Florida State University and began a career in administration with Leon County Schools, where she continued as a consultant after retirement. Nancy was a member of numerous professional societies including Delta Kappa Gamma Education Society. She will be best remembered, however, for her selfless contribution to others. She volunteered with reading programs for underprivileged children, mentored at Leon County Schools Adult and Community Education, and was a ten gallon blood donor to the Leon County Blood Bank. Survivors include her husband, Charles Byrd; two daughters, two sons and seven grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Hopple of Massillon and Bobbie Klotz of North Canton. A Celebration of Life will be held July 13, 2002 in Crawfordville, FL. For more information please contact doug.snyder@sun.com . Pierce Sherman Adkins, age 74, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2002, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Adkins was a U.S. Army veteran and a retiree of Akron Porcelain Plastics Co. Preceded in death by his parents, Halida Scott and Hasty; brother, Lorain. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marjorie; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sue Adkins; daughter and son-in-law, Verba and Wink Dettis; four grandchildren, Carson, Annabelle, Jen and Joe; sisters, Lavonia Jordan, Gloria (Bob) McClain, Boncil (Jim) Stollar and Bonnie (Gene) Berger; brother, Corbin (Kay) Adkins; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
