Ancel H. Merriner. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in Sunset Hills Burial Park with Rev. Donald McKee officiating. There will be calling hours at the Reed Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. McKinley Masonic Lodge will hold services Friday at 6:45 p.m.

Anna M. Zauner
Anna M. Zauner, age 77, of 1732 Market Ave. North, died Monday in Massillon Community Hospital. Born in Bessemer, PA., she had been a Canton resident most of her life. She retired from Timken-Mercy Medical Center after 29 1/2 years of service. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Valli and John Watson; two grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Watson, all of Springfield, VA.; a sister, Mary Goldy, of Canton; two nieces, Connie Maple-Rohr (Jerry) of Massillon, and Katherine Calhoun of Canton; a nephew, Christ Ameridis (Melinda) of Canton; great nieces, Mary, Amy, Jennifer and Veronica; and great nephews, Roger, John Bryan, and Christopher. A memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald E. Cain officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bible Study of the Coleman Center, c/o Ina Dice, 1732 Market Ave. North, Canton, OH 44714.

Cedric Culver
Cedric Culver, age 26, of Atlanta, GA, went home to be with the Lord on May 27, 2002. Born in Massillon, OH on November 28, 1975. He is survived by his parents, Ron and Shirley Culver; brothers, Chris and Ronnie Culver of Canton, OH; grandmother, Mary Jackson of Massillon, OH; great-grandmother, Ruth Baldwin of Canton, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fonzie and Gladys Culver. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 31, 2002, at 1 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home with Brother David Lombardi officiating.

Dorsey V. Cottrell
Dorsey V. Cottrell, age 71, of Hartville, passed away Wednesday night, May 29, 2002 in Altercare of Hartville. He was born in Calhoun County, WV on November 15, 1930 to the late John V. Glenna Pearl (McGlothin) Cottrell. Dorsey had been a forklift operator at Monarch Rubber Co. for over 30 years. He also worked part-time at Lakeview Golf Course after he retired. He was a military police in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his wife Delores September 22, 2000; daughter, Charlotte \Jeannie\Griffith; 3 sisters and 3 brothers; and brothers-in-law, Tony Sims and Richard Rothwell. He is survived by his children, Lynn Chris Cottrell of Deerfield, Rita Jerry Williamson of Middlebranch, Mike Debbie Cottrell of Senecaville, Dean Cottrell of Hartville, Paulette Pete Ballard of North Carolina, Tracey Rothwell of Akron, and Troy Rothwell of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and countless other loved ones and friends. Friends may call Sunday 3-7:00 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville and 1 hour prior to services on Monday (10-11:00 AM). Funeral Services will be Monday 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. James H. Woodring officiating. Final Resting Place is Mount Peace Cemetery.

Edna H. Flynn
Edna H. Flynn. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ with Pastor Darlene D. Garber officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends will be received Saturday from 9-11 a.m. in the church parlor. The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 3909 Blackburn Rd. N.W., Canton 44718.

Eugene G. Miday
Eugene G. Miday. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 1, 2002 at 11 a.m. in West Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Paul Rudy officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Fourth Street Entrance of West Lawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Aultman Hospice, 4510 Dressler Road N.W., Canton, OH 44718. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen E. Steckman
Helen E. Steckman, age 80, of Canton, OH., passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 2002, in Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar, OH., following a brief illness. Born in Stoystown, PA., March 28, 1922, she has been a resident of Canton for the past 46 years and was a former employee of Slater Food System at Ford Motor Co., retiring in 1987 after 30 years of service. Mrs. Steckman was a member of Plus or Minus 60, contributor and member of the 700 Club and Feed the Children. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John H. Steckman Sr., October 10, 1995; her daughter, Charlotte; and a sister, Mary (Polish) Knopsnyder. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Steckman Sr. and Dottie Steckman, John Steckman Jr. and Wands Steckman all of Canton, OH; there are nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 1:00 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Scott officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Calling hours at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Joseph Borsellino
Joseph Borsellino, age 59, of Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon in McKinley Life Care Center. He was born in Cattolica, Italy, a son of the late Dominick and Giuseppina Lucia Borsellino, and had been a Waynesburg resident since 1956. Joe was a 1962 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. He was a former employee of Martin's Pastry and LTV Steel. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg. Preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Borsellino, on Aug. 7, 1997, and a brother, Francesco Borsellino, on March 27, 2001. Survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and JoAnn Borsellino of Canton; a sister-in-law, Vincenza Borsellino of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert as celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Louis A. Gravius
Louis A. Gravius, age 78, of North Canton died Sunday, May 26, 2002. He was a WW II Marine Veteran. He is survived by sons, Bruce of North Canton, Mark of Los Angeles, CA and Thomas of Andover, MA; brothers, William and Robert both of North Canton; sister, Elizabeth Lowing of Graham, North Carolina; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 30, at the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home. Interment was in Sunset Hills Burial Park.

Marvin R. Aberegg
Marvin R. Aberegg, age 56, of Beloit, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2002 of a brief illness. He was born March 28, 1946 in Alliance to his parents, Otto Aberegg and Phyllis (Thorn). He was employed at Northern Valley Construction as a brick layer. Graduate of Alliance High School Class of 1964. Member of the Sebring Masonic Lodge #626 FAM (32º Mason), Dante Aligheri Society (Alliance), Alliance VFW, Sebring VFW and Sebring American Legion. Survivors include wife, Sherry (Addison) whom he married March 27, 1999; daughter, Terri Springer of Matthews, NC; sons, Marvin Aberegg of Sebring, Jackson Aberegg of Medina; stepdaughters, Jamie Hamon of Alliance, Tammy Prophet of Chicago, IL; stepsons, Doug Fryfogle of Chicago, IL, Michael Hamon of Jackson, MI; brother, Kenneth Aberegg of Alliance; mother, Phyllis of Alliance; ten grandchildren. Preceded in death by father. Funeral service Saturday at 1 p.m. in Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Estes officiating. Interment Palmyra West Cemetery. Visitation Saturday at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Masonic services 10:45 a.m. Memorial contributions to Alliance Visiting Nurse Hospice Assoc. or St. Judes Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101.

Normafay Bruce
Normafay Bruce, age 55, of Canton, passed away Tuesday morning after an extended illness. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she had been a Canton resident for 23 years. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Jamaica and Stark Technical College with a degree in Word Processing. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Ward Bruce and Violet (Meek) Bruce; and brother, Clifton Ward. She is survived by her son, Marvin Ferguson, of Canton; and sister, Audrey Bruce of Brooklyn, NY. Friends may call on Saturday one hour before services from 9 to 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop as Celebrant. As were her wishes, Normafay's will is to be cremated. The Rossi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Truitt Sr.
Richard Levi Sarge Truitt Sr., departed this life at age 47 on Monday morning, May 27, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center, after an extended illness. He was born on July 6, 1954 in Gary, IN. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion A. and John L. Truitt Sr., of Gary, IN; son, Richard L. Truitt Jr.; brother, John L. Truitt Jr. Richard had been employed by the Youngstown Sheet Tube Company in East Chicago, IN. He loved to play and coach baseball. He was an avid member of the Ghostbusters Softball Team in Gary, IN. Richard will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Richard leaves to cherish his precious memories, Fiancee' Yvette Strader; children, Asia Strader, Conrad Strader, Joyce Strader, Terrance Truitt, Devin Truitt, Brian Truitt, Charlotte Truitt, Ralph Truitt, Inez Truitt, Breanne Truitt, Tiffany Truitt; sisters, Cheryl Bootsie Truitt, Charlotte L. (James) Truitt, Phyllis (Isaac) Anderson of Gary, IN, Norma Kilasi; brothers, Ralph A. (Marla) Truitt, Ronald L. (JoAnne) Truitt, Larry (Jackie) Dowdy, James E. (Marsha) Truitt Martin of Marion, OH, Raymond J. (Amy) Truitt; previous wife, Lott Truitt of Wisconsin; special friends, Sandy Coop Cooper, Henry Hank Harris, William Lucas, Ezra Alexander and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Ryan Dale Maurer
Ryan Dale Maurer, 20 of Canal Fulton died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. Ryan was born in Akron, life resident of Canal Fulton area and 2000 graduate of Northwest High School. Survived by his parents, Donald and Sandra Maurer; sister, Deanna (Tim) Denman; brother, Robert Maurer; grandmother, Rachel McMillan and aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation at the funeral home at FRIDAY 5-8 p.m.

Scott R. Fowler
Scott R. Fowler, age 27, of Canton, died early Wednesday morning in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on February 12, 1975, he attended Higginsworth Workshop. Scott was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton and was a member of the Special Olympics. Survivors include his mother, Cynthia Fowler of the home; his grandmother, Irene Fowler of Canton; one aunt, Diane Hawkins of Canton; two uncles, William and Paul Fowler both of Canton. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home Saturday 2-5 p.m.
