Anthony Ardent
Anthony Ardent, age 72, of Canton, passed away Thursday morning in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Canton, OH., on September 6, 1929 he was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. He was a retired ironworker for Local Ironworkers Union #550. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Stanley Ardent; and his wife, Grace L. Ardent who passed away October 26, 2001. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law, Debra Lee Rupert of North Canton, Kathy Anne McCune of Canton, Toni Marie and Paul Caripides of Canton. There are nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and long time friends, Richard Cecconi. Graveside service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. There will be no calling hours and the Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Donna M. Fosdick
Donna M. (Aderholt) Fosdick, age 66, of Canton, passed away Sunday afternoon in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Donna was born April 15, 1935 in Canton, daughter of the late George and Mary Catherine (Lininger) Aderholt. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fosdick, who passed away August 11, 2001 and one sister, Lois Aderholt. She is survived by one son, David Fosdick and one daughter, Jenna Fosdick, both of the home; one brother, Richard Aderholt of Ft. Wayne, IN; two sisters, Marilyn McCallin of Louisville and Lovera Guillan of Massillon; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Donna will be conducted Friday (TODAY) at 4 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.

Hazel D. Nist. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Gene Carter and Larry Burgett officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour before services on Saturday (10-11 a.m.).
Helen Daniczi
Helen Daniczi, age 78 of Canton passed away Wednesday February 27, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center. A life time resident of Canton she was a graduate of Timken High School. A former employee of the Timken Company. A member of Calvin Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Katie Daniczi, a brother, Louis Daniczi and a sister, Katie Strobelt. Survived by a brother-in-law, Harry Strobelt of Canton. Also nieces and nephews. Private family services only. There will be no calling hours.

Irene Mary Erickson
Irene Mary Erickson, age 84, of Canton passed away February 27, 2002 in Aultman Hospital. She was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Elizabeth Karolyi of Canton. Visitation will be for family members only. Rev. Fr. Joseph Mancini will be celebrant at the private service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon. Irene was a native of Stark County and was retired from O'Neil's Department Store. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Erickson; sisters, Catherine Frahm and Julia Pruett; brother, James, who was killed in the Philippines during World War II while serving in the Army. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Betty Todoran of Massillon and Mrs. Mary Alice Carosello of Louisville; four brothers, John S. Karolyi of Snellville, GA, Joseph, Steve and Albert Karolyi, all of Canton; host of nieces and nephews. She was very much loved by everyone who knew her. She was a woman of immense strength, love, and courage and will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. The Earl B. Jack Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her name to St. Paul's Catholic Church of Canton.
Jean V. Oleskey
Jean Vesta (Dowsett) Oleskey, went home to be with The Lord on Feb. 27, 2002. Born in Canton, daughter of the late Vernice and Emma (Perrenold) Dowsett, she was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years at Faith Community Church and served her country as an Airman in the U.S. Navy. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mara and Frank Daly of Canton; son , Mark Oleskey of Canton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and John Bukoski of Orlando, FL, Helen and Floyd Jordon of Louisville, OH; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Schneeberger Funeral Home with Rev. David J. Cobb of Faith Fellowship Church officiating. Friends will be received Sunday, 2-4 p.m. in the funeral home.
Loren R. Huth
Loren R. Huth, age 87, of Bolivar, OH, where he was a life resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at his home following a long illness. He was born July 6, 1914 at Bolivar, OH, to his parents John and Jennie Mae (Smith) Huth. He graduated from Bolivar High School in 1933. He retired from Timken Co. of Canton, where he was a supervisor in the Bearing Div. Veteran of World War II Army Air Corp. Member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bolivar, Bolivar American Legion Post #190, past member of the Bolivar Senior Citizens, past member of Bolivar Lion's Club and past member of Bolivar Fire dept. Survivors include wife, Verna M. (Kienzle) Huth, whom he was married to for the past 58 years; daughter, Nita and husband, Joseph Bergen, Jackson Twp., Massillon, OH; son, Randall Huth of Canton; sister, Lois Holleran of Romeo, MI; and grandson, Eric D. Bergen of Massillon. Preceded in death by brother, Frederick Huth, sister, Lucille Osler and a half brother. Thomas E. Darnley
Thomas E. Darnley, age 65, of Canton, died Thursday morning in his home following an extended illness. Son of the late Thomas and Ruth (Bain) Darnley. He was a Canton area resident since 1960, retiring from the E.W. Bliss in 1993 after 30 years of service. He was a 1955 graduate of Bellaire High School, Bellaire, OH. He served in the Army Corp of Engineers Reserve Unit for 15 years. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Moore. He is survived by his wife, Deanna M. (Frey) to whom he was married 46 years; five sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Polly of East Sparta, Tom and Denise, Kelly and Pam all of Canton, Tim and Angie of Ravenna, Eric and Amanda of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, Erin, Megan, Jimmy, Angela, Jennifer, Joseph and Dominic; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Karen Darnley of N. Walter A. Pepper
Walter A. Pepper, age 94, of Canton, passed away Thursday morning in the Cleveland Clinic. He was born in Coshocton, OH, a son of the late George and Emma Bryant Pepper, and had been a Canton resident since 1919. He retired in 1972 from Ford Motor Co., after 26 years service, where he was a tool and die maker. Mr. Pepper was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ; Lathrop Lodge #676, F. A.M., and the Fellowcraft Club of the Lodge; the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton; Tadmor Temple; the Stark-Central Club of the Scottish Rite; Canton Shrine Club; and Canton Chapter #190, Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret A. Pepper, on Dec. 15, 1992, and a son, Glenn Pepper, on Feb. 4, 1995. Survived by his daughter, JoAnn Leach, of Canton; his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Cathie Pepper, of Uniontown; one sister, Mrs. Betty Mae West, of Cleveland; a special friend, Louise Kuntz of Louisville; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John States officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Pearl N. Cavitt
Pearl N. Cavitt, age 87 of Canton, passed away Thursday morning, February 28, 2002 in Canterbury Villa of Alliance after an extended illness. Born in Clinton, OH., to Ivy and William Cormany, October 15, 1914 and raised in Canal Fulton, OH., graduating from Canal Fulton High School in 1932. She then graduated from Canton Business College. She was an accountant for the Federal Milk Marketing Administrators, retiring in 1985 after 30 years of service. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and until the onset of her illness was a faithful participant in the weekly sewing circle of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, E. Lee Cavitt in 1964; her sister, Goldie Eberly; and step-son, Albert Cavitt. Survivors include her loving daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Robert Bergmeyer; step-son, Edward L. Cavitt; step-daughter-in-law, Katie Cavitt; three grandsons and their spouses, Robert Bergmeyer II and Beth Bergmeyer, Scott and Cindy Bergmeyer, John and Heather Bergmeyer; four great grandchildren, James, Kristen, Eric and Gwyndolyn Bergmeyer; step-great grandchild, David Okey; step-grandchildren, Nancy (Cavitt) Burns, Ronald Cavitt and Janet (Cavitt) Moses; her brother, Marion Cormany; sisters, Sylvia Armen and Myrtle North. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas A. Patton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
