Elsie M. Bartholomew
Elsie M. Bartholomew, 95, of Dover, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in Park Village Health Care Center following a brief illness.
She retired from Sterling Grandview Dairy in Canton.
Born Dec. 30, 1906, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mae Bartholomew.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dover. She enjoyed oil painting and playing the piano.
She is survived by a nephew, John A. (Sandra) Martig III of Palm Beach, Fla.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Bartholomew, and two sisters, Margaretta Barkey and Helen G. Martig.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Brian Nunnally officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Ermile D.‘Denny’ Dennis
Ermile D. “Denny” Dennis, 76, of New Philadelphia died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, in Union Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born Feb. 28, 1925, in Bowerston, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Iva Bower Dennis. Denny attended New Philadelphia High School. He served with the U.S. Army 580th Ambulance Company Motor Separate in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He married the former Rose M. Vielmetti, who survives, on Sept. 9, 1946. Denny was employed for a number of years by the Tuscarawas County Road and Bridge Department and retired in 1985 from the Ohio Department of Transportation.
He was a member of Crooked Run United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia. Denny dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He enjoyed farming and cared greatly for his animals. Denny helped his neighbors and was always there for those who needed him.
In addition to his wife, Rose, he is survived by three daughters, Sharon (James) Bloom, Susan (Todd) Immel and Holly (Jack) Hershberger, all of New Philadelphia; son, David (Kim) Dennis of Gnadenhutten; eight grandchildren, Denise (Christopher) Harmon, Jamie Cox, Kristopher, Jackie and David Hershberger, Sarah, Laura and Adam Dennis; one great-granddaughter, Leah Rose Harmon; a sister, Wanda Krier of Massillon; two brothers, Wilmer (Gladys) Dennis of Orrville and Howard (Mary) Dennis of Massillon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bernadine Dennis.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Rev. George Reichman Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia, where the New Philadelphia post of the V.F.W. will conduct military rites. There will be a reception in the Geib Family Center following the committal. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Roberta Bonaduce
Roberta “Bobbie” Bonaduce, 82, of Dover died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, in Union Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Oct. 20, 1919, at Kingsport, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Rose Churchwell Barrett.
Bobbie loved going to church and had been an active member of the New Life Church of God in Dover, where she had played piano and taught Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marino J. Bonaduce, who died Nov. 20, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Marie and Rod Boni of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sons, Michael J. and Cathy Bonaduce of Hudson, Fla., and Paul A. and Sue Bonaduce of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Donna Sue and Kay; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bobbie was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 22, at 1:30 p.m. in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Dode Overton officiating. Interment will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Susan K. McClaskey
Susan Kay McClaskey, 48, of Carrollton died in Aultman Hospital Wednesday, Feb. 20, following an extended illness.
Born in Salem Jan. 6, 1954, she was the daughter of Clara (Franklin) Ward of Minerva and the late John Wise. She was a press operator for DLH Industries.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, William Ward of Minerva; a daughter, Tracee McClaskey of Malvern; grandson, Brendyn Johns of Malvern; sisters, Carol Ann Rahmoeller of Minerva and Laura Mae Hardman of New Orleans, La.; brother, Paul Joseph Ward of Minerva; and good friend, Jim Steven of the home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, in the Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hardman and Pastor Kerry Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the Bartley Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

O. Warren Welz
O. Warren Welz, age 82, of 810 S. Broadway, New Philadelphia, O., died Saturday, Feb. 23, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Warren was a 45-year Buchanan Oil Co. employee until his illness. His smiling face and silver-white hair was visible at the Shell Stations/convenience stores where he worked in maintenance and warehouse. His favorite hobby was his rose garden with over 45 rose bushes plus other special flowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn, and a brother, Mendell.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Welz; four stepchildren, Herb Fawcett and Ed Fawcett of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Chester (Pollianne) Truman of Dover and Mrs. Joe (Christine) Jenkins of Jackson Center, O.; eight step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Duane “Red” Ferris of New Philadelphia, a stepbrother, also survives, as does a son, Warren Welz of Strasburg; a daughter, Mrs. Dave (Joan) Schroeder of Dover; four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and a step-grandson and stepdaughter, Mrs. Randy (Judy) Hamel of Syracuse, N.Y.
Warren was a member of Broadway Methodist Church and the VFW of New Philadelphia. He had served 3 1/2 years in Ordnance in the European Theater of war.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. He had bequeathed his body to a college of medicine as his tribute to the medical profession.
Jacqueline J. Tasker
Jacqueline “Jackie” J. Tasker, 75, of Carrollton died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, in Alliance Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 2, 1926, in Malvern, the daughter of the late Ray and Kathleen Bixler Logan, and she was a life resident of Carroll County. Jackie served as the clerk of the Veteran’s Service Commission for 25 years. She was a member of the Carrollton First United Metho-dist Church, the United Metho-dist Women, the Child Conservation League, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 428 and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 3301 of Carrollton, the Republican Central Committee and the Lunch Bunch.
On Oct. 1, 1942, she married Robert Tasker, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Larry (Dee) Tasker of New Philadelphia; two daughters, Margie (Richard) Pitts of Salem and Sandra Tasker of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Janet Tasker of Corry, Pa.; eight grandchildren, David (Sheri) Pitts, Dawn Pitts, Robbin (Alan) Jones, Amy (Steve) Nitz, Scott Tasker, Bret Tasker, Brian (Julie) Tasker and Devin (Rachel) Tasker; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Bill; two grandsons, Brandon and Jacob; and a brother, Richard Logan.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Allmon-Dugger & Hively Funeral Home in Carrollton with Dr. Charles Naylor and Rev. Mark Statler officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Friday at the funeral home with a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Service at 8:30 p.m.
William E. Stull
William E. Stull, age 74, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at his home in Bowerston.
Born Jan. 5, 1928, in Scio, he was a son of the late Howard Russell and Ada Bell Everhart Stull. Bill retired from the Scio Pottery Co. after 14 years of service and attended God’s Family Church in Bowerston.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Iva Jane Powell Stull; a brother; and a sister. Surviving are a sister, Wilma Harrison of Jewett, and a brother, Howard Stull of California.
Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2002, at 1 p.m. in Koch Funeral Home at Scio with Rev. Robert Haas officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery at Scio. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 11 to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
John T. Adams
John Thomas Adams, 57, of Cadiz, O., formerly of Deersville, O., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in his home following a battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
He was born Aug. 21, 1944, in Nottingham Township, Harrison County, O., a son of Clinton R. Adams and Elda Vera Poulson Adams. He was the owner of Adams Barber Shop. He barbered in Cadiz since 1966, taking over Jack Brown’s Barber Shop in 1971. He was also a blaster for R&F Coal Co. for 20 years.
He was a member of Deersville United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee. He graduated from Lakeland High School in 1962 and the Akron Barber College in 1966; was a member of Freeport Lodge 415 F. & A.M.; Scottish Rite, Valley of Steu-benville; Cadiz Chapter 171, Royal Arch Masons, where he was Past High Priest; St. Bernard Commandery #51; Knights Templar of Dover; Unionport Chapter 360, Order of the Eastern Star; Tuscara-was Council 109, Royal and Select Masons; Harrison County Genealogical Society, where he was a trustee; First Families of Harrison County; Harrison County Farm Bureau; Freeport-Lakeland Alumni Assn.; life member of Amateur Trapshooting Assn. and the National Rifle Assn.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Morris Adams, whom he married in May 1971; brother, Jay B. Adams and his wife, Jane, of Deersville, O.; a special sister-in-law, Alberta Tilkey and her husband, Eddie, of Cadiz, O.; 14 nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and great-nephews; six brothers-in-law; and seven sisters-in-law.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at 1 p.m. in Patterson Union Cemetery at Deersville, O., with Rev. Charles Bennett and Dr. Roger Rambaud officiating.

Loren Reichman Sr.
Loren G. “Chub” Reichman Sr., 82, of 113 Welch St., Dennison, O., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Union Hospital in Dover following a brief illness. Born at Goshen, Dec. 4, 1919, he was the son of the late Lewis Reichman and Phoebe Romig Reichman.
He was a retired coal miner from the former Midvale Coal Co. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in France and Belgium. He also was a member of the Midvale VFW, Dennison Eagles and Uhrichsville Moose lodges.
On May 7, 1949, he married Delores Eileen Young Reichman, who died Dec. 28, 1996. Surviving are two sons, Loren G. “Chub” Reichman II and wife Shirley of Uhrichsville, John L. Reichman and wife Jennie of Wainwright; four grandchildren, John Reichman II, James (Heather) Reichman, Michelle Reichman and Kimberly Reichman; and one great-grandson, Austin Reichman.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, who died in infancy, Robert Eugene Reichman, and two brothers, Henry and George.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at 11 a.m. in Uhrich-Hostettler Funeral Home at Uhrichsville, O., with Rev. Kenneth G. Hacker officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville with Tuscarawas VFW No. 7943 conducting military graveside services. Mary Nolan
Mary Nolan, 93, of 414 Dewey Ave., Newcomerstown, O., formerly of Akron, O., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Newcomerstown.
Born Feb. 29, 1908, at Formosa, Kan., she was a daughter of the late Mary McGrath Nolan and Patrick Nolan. She had worked in sales.
She was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church of Newcomerstown where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Francis. Mary started funeral dinners in 1980 and the prayer line in 1988; enjoyed visiting the shut-ins and the sick and elderly. She was a member of the former Newcomerstown Church Women United which started the Ecumenical Devotional Lenten Luncheon, Dress-A-Child program, senior citizens’ dinners, the local Red Cross Bloodmobile and many other charitable endeavors over a 17-year period.
Surviving are one brother, George Nolan of Belleville, Kan., and two special friends, Carol Cramlet of Newcomerstown and Karen Altier of West Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by a cousin, Leo J. Hurley, who died in 1992, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Francis DeSales Church of Newcomerstown on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with Fr. Ed Keck officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown. Calling hours are at St. Francis DeSales Church of Newcomerstown on Tuesday at noon.
