Elizabeth A. Burwell
Elizabeth A. Burwell, age 86, of Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Malvern, OH, a daughter of the late John and Theresa Ricci Furriatti, and was a life resident of Waynesburg. Mrs. Burwell retired on August 1, 1983, after 30 years of service, from the U.S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta, where she was an assembler. Preceded in death by her husband, Clem H. Burwell, on Jan. 8, 1978; one sister, Mary Mangus; and three brothers, Harry, Frank and Art Furriatti. Survived by her daughter, Shirley Laughlin, of Waynesburg; her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford Z. and Judy Burwell, of Malvern; one sister, Lilly English, of Canton; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Gene Dietz officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Sat. 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Franklin E. Young
Franlin E. Nick Young, age 63, of Canton, died Wednesday evening in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. He was a life resident of the Canton area, retiring from Republic Steel in 1999 after 14 years of service. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Preceded in death by his father, James Edward Young; first wife, Christine Ann Young, in 1975; one brother, James Bob Young; one sister, Shirley Soper; two nephews, Richard and Kevin Boggs. Survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Frank and Candace Young of North Industry, Russell Bowersock of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lora Young, Teresa and Virgil Masters, all of Malvern; one stepson, Charles Hull of Canton; one stepdaughter, Julie Hull of Barberton; his mother, Hannah E. Young of the home; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Elmer Fat and Leela Young of Canton; one sister, Patricia Patty Boggs of Canton. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave., with Rev. Troy Bannister officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Helen M. LeMunyon
Helen M. LeMunyon, age 97, of Canton, died Tuesday morning in Massillon Community Hospital. Born March 20, 1904, in Dellroy, OH, to the late James and Lena Smith. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and the Jolly Sixties. Mrs. LeMunyon was an artist and accomplished author and had been published in several publications. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1968; one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Virginia LeMunyon; one brother, Winfred Smith; and one sister, Florence Borland. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jean M. and Richard Gainey of North Canton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial will be in East Sparta Cemetery. Irma P. Chilson
Irma Pauline Chilson, age 76, of Minerva, died Thursday morning at her residence following a short illness. She was born in Sugar Grove, OH, Jan. 28, 1925 to the late Alfred and Leafa (Johnston) Stalder. A homemaker, she was a member of the Augusta Presbyterian Church and the TOPS Club. Survived by her husband, Victor Wayne Chilson, whom she married, July 6, 1946; sons, Rodney (Sodie) Chilson of Kensington, Terry (Tina) Chilson of Minerva, Thomas (Debra) Chilson of Minerva; daughters, Judith (Henry) Rayburn of Point Pleasant, WV, Laurie (Tim) Gissiner of Littleton, CO; sisters, Marjorie Manfull and Betty Phillips of Augusta; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Bender; brother, Harold and James Stalder; grandson, Nicholas Ryan. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Barley Funeral Home, Minerva, with Pastor Charles F. Brown, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens, Minerva. Calling hours Sunday 7-9 p.m. at the Bartley Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Christian Center, Minerva.
James Arron Smith
James Arron Smith, age 43, Greenville, SC, died Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Mr. Smith was born in Canton, OH and was a truck driver. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Lehman of the home; a son, Daniel Smith of Canton, OH; parents, Edward and Ethel Mikes of Iva, SC; three brothers and four sisters, Kenneth (Debra) Smith, Jr., Winona (Donald) Meyers of Louisville, Edwin Smith, and Michele Sattler, all of Canton, OH, Thomas Smith of Greenville, SC, Cheryl Davis and Melinda (Steve) Greenawalt, both of Ponte Vedra, FL; and special friend, Barbara Stewart of Canton, OH. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2001 at Christ United Methodist Church.
Jamie M. Brocker
Jamie M. (Depetri) Brocker, age 25, of Akron, was suddenly called to the Lord on Tues. Nov. 20, 2001. Jamie was a beloved free spirit who loved her family, her friends, her animals and her music. She was a foster mother to Nassere and a volunteer at the Stark County Humane Society and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Survived by her mother, Joyce Ann (Depetri) Brocker of Florida; father, Jeffrey Lee Brocker of Michigan; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Frank (Louise) Depetri of Canton; sisters, Joyce Ann and Nancy, both of Arizona, Liz and Jessica, both of Michigan; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Zuzik as celebrant. Friends will be received at the church Saturday 8:30-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defray the funeral expenses. The Rossi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Marjorie L. Dunlavy
Marjorie L. (Seager) Dunlavy, age 85, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001 at St. Joseph Care Center, Louisville. She was born Dec. 6, 1915 in Charlestown, OH to the late Marvin and Nellie (Somerwill) Hall. Marjorie was a homemaker, a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Louisville, the Strausser Sunday School Class and the Paradise Circle, Nimishillen Grange, Happy Homemakers, the Farm Bureau Council, Ohio Country Western Music Assoc. and she served as a 4-H Advisor for 28 years. Also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dunlavy, in 1990; one brother, Carlton, Hall. Survived by a daughter, Roberta Edgerton of Worthington, OH; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kathy Saeger, Norman and Cheryl Saeger, all of Louisville; one sister, Eleanor Behner of Lordstown, OH; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Stier-Israel Funeral Home, Louisville, with Rev. Dr. Kline Roberts III officiating. Friends may call Friday (tonight) 6-8 p.m. and one hour before the services on Saturday. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Louisville. Nimishillen Grange services will be held Friday at 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paradise United Church of Christ or Boy Scout Troop #44.

Mary Louise Cline, age 62, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at the Stier-Israel Funeral Home.
