Delila B. Summers
Delila B. Summers, age 78, of Minerva and formerly of Malvern, died Sun. June 3, 2001 in Alliance Community Hospital. She was born Oct. 29, 1922 in Strasburg to Alonzo and Katherine (Mears) Willison. She worked as a home health care aid for many years, attended Minerva Church of God, and was a graduate of Strasburg High School. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Summers who died April 26, 1978, a son-in-law, Fred Miller, a sister, Lucille Aling, a great-granddaughter, Amanda B. Fry. She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Kathy Miller of Carrollton; four grandsons, Jack Fry of Reading, PA, Thomas Fry of Carrollton, Lance Fry of Louisville, Steven Miller of Louisville; four great-grandchildren, Kevin Christopher Fry of Reading, PA, Zachary Fry of Carrollton, and Skyler Miller of Louisville. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Fredrick Bays officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Minerva Church of God.

Esta (Isler) Reese. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Richville United Church of Christ with Rev. John Brownsberger officiating. Burial will be in the Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. Eunice V. Lawrence
Eunice V. Lawrence, age 81, of Canton, died Saturday evening in Country Lawn Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She had been a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Pianist. A former member of Order of Eastern Star Bolivar Chapter #369. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Homer Lawrence; two brothers, Oliver and Clyde Swanson. Survived by a son, Carl Lawrence; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth and Arthur Sholtis of Branson, MO, Dottie Haynes of Dover; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Fred Swanson of Colorado, Thomas and Phoebe Swanson of Arizona. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Melscheimer Cemetery with Rev. James Simone officiating. Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. in charge of arrangements.
Harry F. Renner
Harry F. Renner, age 82, of Canton, passed away Monday Morning, June 4, 2001. He was born in Canton on November 25,1918 to the late Harry A. Emma (Dehoff) Renner. Harry had been the former owner of F. W. Renner Sons and attended First Presbyterian Church where he was an active volunteer in the food ministry. A WW II Army Veteran, member of Wm. McKinley Lodge No. 431, F. A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Tadmor Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. Akron, Former Director of Akron Court No. 80 R.O.J., Honorary member of Parkersburg Court No. 156 R.O.J., and member of Canton Elks No. 68. Preceded in death by a brother, Dale Renner in 1993, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marilyn; daughter and son-in-law, Jean Timothy White of Massillon; son, Fritz Renner of Cincinnati; sisters and brother-in-law, Marybelle Halter of Massillon, Joanne Charles Julian of Massillon, and Nancylee Gardner of Massillon; grandchildren, Jyl Brett Lones of Canton, Joseph D'Augustine of Canton, and Joshua White of Massillon; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Paige Lones; 11 nieces and nephews, and 18 Great-nieces and nephews. Lenora Suter
Lenora Suter, age 87, of Riverside, OH, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2001 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. Lenora was born on Feb. 4, 1914 in Prestonsburg, KY to Thomas J. and Bertha (Burchett) Blackburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on Jan. 30, 2001. She is survived by her two sisters, Mae Hunter of Prestonsburg, KY and Eunice Blankenship of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, June 7, 5-7 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Waltervliet Ave., Dayton with the funeral services at 7 p.m. Services in Canton, OH will be held Friday, June 8, 2001 at Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, the family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.

Leona Amison, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2001. Born on December 9, 1920 in Pike County, AL. A retired employee of the Mayfair Restaurant, working over 40 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Amison; parents, Lula Gray and Jim Henderson; brothers, Ben Calhoun, Jessie Calhoun, Tad McGowan; sister, Gladys Crawford; son, Freddie Amison; daughters, Irena Moss; grandmother, Ida Gray. Member of the Sherrick Road Church of God and the Social Civic Women's Club. Leonard L. Crossley
Leonard L. Crossley, age 96, died Sunday, June 3, 2001 in Ollie Steele Burden Manor at Baton Rouge, LA. He had been a resident of Baton Rouge, LA since 1991. Mr. Crossley formerly resided in Canton, OH, where he had been associated with the newspaper business since 1924. He retired from Thomson-Brush Moore Newspapers Inc., as Secretary/Treasurer and Director. After his retirement in 1971, he was affiliated with Beaver Kettle Corporation which had WHBC radio as its Canton operation. He retired again several years before his move to Baton Rouge. He spent much time in California taking part in the acquisition of the California newspapers in the Thomson-Brush Moore group. He was a charter member of the International Newspaper Financial Executives and served as director several times. He was listed in Who's Who in the Midwest and was a member of the International Platform Associates. He was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist Church and was Director of the Church of the Savior Foundation. He was President and Trustee of the Canton Club, member of Congress Lake Country Club and was Trustee of the United Fund of Central Stark County. He was a member of the American Management Association, the Canton Gyro Club, Canton Lodge FAM, the Scottish Rite, Al Koran Shrine and the Canton Shrine Club. Of his many accomplishments he was proud of his work during World War II, handling wage and salary stabilization matters and overseeing veterans' on-the-job training programs. Many World War II veterans were trained under programs written by Mr. Crossley. His beloved wife of 68 years, Gladys, preceded him in death in 1994. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Crossley Williams and her husband, retired Army Colonel Walworth F. Williams; granddaughter, Catherine Crow Mays and her husband David L. Mays of Madison, WI; grandson, David Crow and his wife, Deborah Bourgue Crow; twin great-granddaughters, Kendall Nicole Crow and Phoebe Elise Crow, all of Houston, TX; step grandchildren, Kenneth Williams of Baton Rouge, Julia Williams of Hammond; step great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jordan Dinser; sister, Veda Mills of Ohio. Preceded in death by a brother, Ivan. Memorial services will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church Thursday, June 7, 2001 at 2 p.m. His ashes will be placed in the Columbarium at St. Luke's next to his wife. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Baton Rouge or Church of the Savior United Methodist, Canton, OH.
Lillian S. Zerby
Lillian S. Zerby, age 94 of Canton died Wednesday morning May 2, 2001. She was a life resident of Canton and was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Hoolie Zerby (former golf pro at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course) on October 12, 1963. There are several nieces and nephews surviving. There were no calling hours or services. Reed Funeral Home was in charge of her arrangements.

William R. Zufall
William Bill Roy Zufall, age 60, of North Canton, died Sunday in Aultman Hospital. He was a 1959 graduate of Glenwood High School, and a motor winder and mechanic for the Goodyear Corporation with 36 years of service. Survived by wife of 32 years of the home, Virginia (Baker) Zufall; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth S. and Stacie Zufall of Bolivar; brother, Don L. Zufall of North Canton. Preceded in death by parents, Duke and Ethel (Boggs) Zufall. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Karlo Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Manley Pierce officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
Zella G. Ramey
Zella G. Ramey, age 86, of Beach City, OH passed away Monday morning in the Altercare of Navarre following an extended illness. Born in Pikeville, KY on February 25, 1915, she had lived the greater portion of her life in the Canton area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jesse W. Ramey, who passed away May 3, 1970 and a son, Bruce B. Ramey, who passed away February 19, 1979. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, James Stallard of Akron, OH and Robert and Laura Ramey of East Sparta, her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Dana Harris of Beach City, OH; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours at the funeral home Wednesday 7-9 p.m.
