Anthony Fernandez, age 85, of Canton, passed away Friday afternoon after an extended illness. Born in Topeka, KS, he had lived most of his life in the Canton area. A member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Spanish American Club, he was a retired employee of the Timken Company. Mr. Fernandez was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 69th Army Infantry Division, Company M 272nd Infantry Regiment. Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Clara (Cabo) Fernandez, wife, Rose (Pellegrene) Fernandez, brothers, Louis and Joe Fernandez. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Jr. and Carolyn Fernandez of North Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Phillip Tsaftarides of Canton; grandsons and spouses, Tony and Michelle Fernandez, Jim and Adrienne Fernandez, Nick Fernandez, Pete and Nick Tsaftarides; sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and Joe Menendez of Canton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodrigo and Elizabeth Fernandez, Manuel and Rachel Fernandez, Ernest Fernandez, all of Canton. Friends may call on Sunday 5-8 p.m. in the ROSSI FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Carson M. (Pete) Sisler. Funeral Service Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) Rev. Charles Tobias officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home SUNDAY 2-4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Lou Gehrig Disease Foundation or Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telathon.

Charles R. Draher
Charles R. Draher, age 74, of Liberty St., East Canton, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center in Canton following a short illness. He was born November 8, 1926 in Augusta, OH to Robert and Martha (Price) Draher. He was a retired Mill Operator for Repulic Steel, member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in East Canton, was a US Air Force veteran of World War II, member of the Tubal Masonic Lodge #551 FAM in Minerva, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, life member of the Minerva VFW Post #4120 and the Minerva American Legion Post #357. He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Evans) Draher, whom he married May 19, 1963; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Sheri) Shockling of East Canton; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Dawn Draher of Port Orange, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Marjorie) Guthrie of Hanoverton and Mrs. Clyde (Yvette) Lautzenheiser of Minerva; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Emily and Katie. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Mitchael Hennessey officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 6:45 p.m.

Dolores M. Skeeles
Dolores M. Skeeles, age 78 of North Canton passed away Thursday morning, June 7, 2001 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Ambridge, PA, September 24, 1922 to her parents the late John and Margaret (Gertz) Stout, she lived most of her life in the Canton area and was a former employee of the Timken Co. Mrs. Skeeles was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas William Skeeles. Survivors include her daughter, Debra D. Vorhees of Columbus, OH; grandson, Tyler Vorhees of Columbus, OH; on sister, Virgina Stofer of California and one niece, Gretchen Hill of California. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of North Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Arthur Bliese officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Erma I. Frease
Erma I. (Mizer) Frease. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday evening 7-9p.m.

Eugene H. George
Eugene H. George, age 95 of North Canton, died Tuesday evening in Aultman Hospital. Born May 18, 1906 in Vandergrift, PA to the late William and Olive George. He was a member of William McKinley Lodge #431 F AM and Nazir Grotto. He was an avid bowler in the 40's, 50's and 60's and was retired from, the Hoover Company. Preceded in death by one brother. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of the home with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage; and two sons and daughter-in-law, Allan and Charlotte George of Louisville and Dale George of Canton; five grandchildren and their spouses, David and Michelle George of Canton, Brian and Lisa George of Texas, Patrick and Jennifer George of Massillon, Cassandra George of Canton, Thomas George of Canton; and five great-grandchildren, Miranda, Andrew, Benjamin, Sarah and Emma. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED SATURDAY (TODAY) AT 1:30 P.M. IN THE REED FUNERAL HOME WITH REV. PETER NATHAN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN NORTH LAWN CEMETERY. CALLING HOURS IN THE FUNERAL HOME ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICES FROM 12:30-1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grundy Mountain Mission School, 1 Hurley St. Grundy VA 24614 or to Kings Daughters c/o First Christian Church, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton OH 44709.

Faye Roud
Faye Roud, age 70, of North Canton, OH, passed away Thursday evening at the home following a brief illness. Born in Massillon, OH on August 13, 1930, she was a 1947 graduate of McKinley High School. She was a former employee of Isaly's Dairy and Physicians Pharmacy in Canton. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, William E. Roud, who passed away April 28, 1997 and a half-sister, Elmo Lappin. Survivors include her son, William G. Roud of the home; her daughter, Brenda L. McClain and her fiance', Richard Mooney III, both of Akron; a brother, Bruce Crites of Canton and half-sister, Donna Richardson of Richville; four grandchildren, Dave, Dan and Michelle McClain and Ryan Mooney; two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Irene McClain. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bullock officiating. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home Sunday 2-3 p.m.

Harold V. Sweany
Harold V. Sweany, age 80, of Lake Mohawk, Malvern, died Thursday morning in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. He was retired from Boron GMC Truck Sales. Member of Sandy Valley Eagles Aerie #3228, American Legion Post #375 in Malvern and VFW Post #4120 in Minerva. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose in 1983; two sisters; two brothers. Survived by two daughters, Darlena and husband, Joe Vitangeli of San Carlos, CA, Christina Sweany and Edward Haines of the home; two grandchildren, Timothy and his wife, Stacy Harbert of Massillon, Kimberly Harbert of San Carlos, CA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Martin and Helen Sweany of Gladstone, MO, William Sweany of Massillon; a stepson, John and his wife, Shirley DeSerio of Canton; four great-grandchildren, Jeannette Rose, Austin, Devan and Merina Harbert. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave., with Rev. Ed Rinehart officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park, where there will be a military graveside service. Friends may call Sunday 7-9 p.m. and one hour before the services on Monday.

Helen R. Rajkovich
Helen Rebecca Rajkovich (nee Pope), age 77, formerly of Canton and more recently of Lake Park, FL. Mrs. Rajkovich was the devoted wife of 55 years to Nick; loving mother to Nick J. (Ronelle) of Cleveland, Thomas (Marcia) and Robert (Sally) of Dayton, and Cathy Pugh (Daniel) of Medina; beloved sister of Edna Hafner and Eleanor Elmerick of Florida and the late Nicholas Pope and Thomas Pope of Canton; proud grandmother of Erin, Nick, Samuel, Robert, Daniel, Warren and Andrew Rajkovich, Thomas and Christopher Pugh. She graduated from Massillon City School of Nursing, was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star Delta Chapter 539 and was a past member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Zev Rosenburg officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home Sunday 2-4 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday from 10-11 a.m. Helen took pride and joy in her years of working as a nurse. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Helen Rajkovich Scholarship Fund, c/o Aultman Hospital School of Nursing, 2600 Sixth St. SW, Canton, OH 44710.

Irene S. Karolyi
Irene S. Karolyi, of Snellville, GA, passed away May 30, 2001 at Emory Eastside Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Canton, OH and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Mary Sedlock. Irene was retired from the real estate department of Bell South. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Sedlock. She is survived by her husband, John Karolyi; a sister, Lilian Trace of Hartville, OH and two daughters, Gerri Nourse of Lucasville, OH and Debra Pennington of Snellville. She also leaves to cherish her memory, four grandchildren, Matthew and Chris Nourse of Lucasville, OH and Jessica Karolyi and Angelica Pennington of Snellville; plus a son-in-law and host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. She was put to rest at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. Irene was very much loved by everyone who knew her. She was a woman of emmence strength, love and courage. Her devotion to her family and friends will long be remembered.

Jeffrey B. Fogle
Jeffrey Brandon Fogle, infant son of Jeffrey L. and Deanna (Randall) Fogle, passed away Thursday June 7, 2001 in Aultman Hospital. He was born May 27, 2001, besides his parents he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Donna and Roland Carver, Sr., Jay Randall and Vickie Scott; paternal parents, Sharon and Bob Stubblefield and Tim Fogle; paternal great-grandmother, Virginia Gallagher; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday (Today) at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Canton with Fr. Tim Huffman as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The funeral procession will form at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family at 4100 Fairgrove Ave. SW, Massillon OH 44646. Don Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joe C. Amadore
Joe C. Amadore, age 79, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Thursday, May 24, in Mesa after an extended illness. He was born in Canton and moved to California in 1940 prior to moving to Arizona. He was a retired mail carrier and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Twilliger of Vista, CA and Kathleen Amadore of Pennsylvania; two sisters and brother-in-law, Florence Smith and Viola and Charles Willis, both of Canton; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Antoinette Amadore; two brothers, Don Amadore on Feb. 21, 2001 and John Sparky Amadore; two sisters, Thelma Ghezzi and Laura Caster. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 12, at 11 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Rossi Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Marie C. Hoover
Marie C. Hoover, age 86, of North Canton, died Thursday in the Laurels of Massillon after an extended illness. Born in Canal Fulton, she graduated from Canal Fulton High School and Massillon Commercial College. Member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild; charter member of North Canton Lady Elks, 25 year member of the Red Cross. Survived by her husband, George K. Hoover of the home; sister, Catherine Ivins of Dalton; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Nichter of North Canton; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ellen Nichter; brothers, Paul and Raymond Nichter. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Karlo Sons Funeral Home with Msgr. James A. Clarke officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 100 30th St. NW, Canton, OH 44709.

Richard A. Griffith
Richard A. Griffith, age 61. of East Canton, OH, passed away Friday morning, June 8, 2001 in the residence following a brief illness. Born in Canton, OH, Jan. 19, 1940 to his parents the late Ralph and Mildred (Kidd) Griffith. He was a self employed truck driver and a former 20 year employee of Central-Allied Enterprises. Mr. Griffith was a member of Louisville Eagles. Preceded in death by three brothers, William, Ralph Jr., and Robert Griffith. Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Griffith of the home to whom he would have been married 35 years, Feb. 2002; seven children and their spouses, Karen and Keith Clapper of East Canton, OH, Rose and Walter Bylsma of Lima, OH, Richard James Griffith of Canton, Lawrence and Julie Griffith of Canton, OH, Peggy Sue and Dean Zirkle of Louisville, OH, William and Jo Ann Griffith of East Canton, OH, Eileen Griffith and her fiance, Jerry Cooper of Canton, OH; five brothers and their spouses, Wilbur and Kay Griffith of North Canton, OH, Donald and Marcia Griffith of Louisville, OH, Harold and Dorothy Griffith of Canton, OH, Kenneth and Diana Griffith of Warren, OH, Stan and Jessie Griffith of Canton, OH; six sisters and their spouses, Thelma and Grant Stockberger of Canton, OH, Glenna Wyatt of Magnolia, OH, Dorothy Rohrer of Canton, Shirley and Robert Nichols of Canton, JoAnne Hufler of Canton, Teresa and George Archer of Canton, OH; his best friend for 40 years, Walt Bair of Louisville, OH; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Marshall officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours at the funeral home Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Aultman Hospice, 4510 Dressler Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44718.

Robert W. Robson Sr.
Robert W. Bob Robson Sr., died in Aultman Hospital Thursday June 7, 2001. He was from Alliance. He was a farmer for the Bingham family for over 30 years, also Head Mechanic for Marlington Local Schools. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (King) Robson Mean Old Lady Robson whom he married on January 9, 1960. He served in the U.S. Army in Thule Greenland from 1957-59, then in the Army Reserves from 1959-1962. He was also survived by two daughters, Sue Rickard of Minerva, OH., Heather Robson of Alliance, OH; one son, Bob Robson Jr., of Alliance; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday June 11, 2001 with Rev. Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Contributions can be made to Marlboro Fire Dept or the American Lung Association.

Robert W. Rosia
Robert W. Rosia, age 76, of Louisville, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2001 in Green Meadows Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Bob was born September 24, 1924 in Louisville to the late Louis and Theresa (Miday) Rosia. He was an army veteran of World War II and a former truck driver for Hall's Motor Freight. Bob was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Pat (Bresson) Rosia, whom he married December 21, 1944; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. and Nancy Rosia of Hartville and Richard F. and Linda Rosia of Louisville; a sister, Rita Dieringer of Louisville; six grandchildren, Lisa Grace, Rob Rosia, Michele Cupedro, Laura Esposito, Rick Rosia and Amy Slegus; a step-granddaughter, Jenny Kehl; and five great-grandchildren, R.J. Rosia, Rachel Rosia, Landrie Grace, Abigail Esposito and Victoria Esposito. He is preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Rosia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.

Rose E. Cutshall
Rose E. Cutshall, age 76, of Canton, OH, passed away Wednesday afternoon in the Barberton Citizens Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Glouster, OH, on Feb. 24, 1925, she was a retired employee of Aultman Hospital, retiring in 1990 after 11 years of service. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. Survivors include her husband, Frank S. Cutshall, Jr. of the home; three sons and daughter-in-law, Frank E. Cutshall of Canton, Gary E. and Margaret Cutshall of Massillon and Mark A. Cutshall of Canton; a sister, Helen Bulstrom of Glouster, OH; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. David Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home Monday 6-9 p.m.

Ruth Virginia Parr
Ruth Virginia Parr. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. David C. Morgan officiating. Burial will in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-9 in the funeral home.

Violet Marie Bickar
Violet Marie Bickar, age 88, of Canton, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Independence, PA, she was the daughter of the late, John and Mary Richey. She lived in the Canton area for 72 years and was a member of Faith Community Church. Preceded in death by her first husband, Allen David Strong; second husband, Robert A. Bickar; four brothers, William, Wilbur, Joseph and John Richey; three sisters, Dorothy Black, Alice Black, Anna Black. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Allen B. and Iolanda Strong; daughter, Mrs. James (Barbara) Schumacher; all of Canton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Earl B. Jack Funeral Home with Rev. Glendon W. Osborn officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
