Alex Zenovic. A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 5 p.m. in Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW with Pastor Bruce Roth officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 3-5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 325 3rd St SE, Massillon, OH 44646.

Carl Hoover
Carl Hoover. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ulmer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home Friday 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. where Masonic Services will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Westbrook Park United Methodist Church.

Charlyn Heinbuch
Charlyn (Housley) Heinbuch, 85, died recently in Ocolona, MS. Born in Canton, moved to Mississippi in 1958. She was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Services Saturday at 3 p.m. in Kingdom Hall, Meese Rd., Louisville with Mark Overholt presiding. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Brady; son, Dean of Ocolona; sister, Leoti Romigh of Alliance; brother, Floyd Housley of Canton. Preceded in death by parents, Isaac and Elizabeth Housley; sisters, Ruby Smith, Clara Overholt, Lois Romigh, Betty Miller, Carrie Halloway, Myrtle Merryman, Beverly Walser, Charlotte Housley; brothers, Dean and Iver Housley. Burial was in Chapel of Faith Mausoleum, Ocobona.

Clarence F. King
Clarence F. Binger King, age 86 of Louisville, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Thursday June 14, 2001 in St. Joseph Care Center Assisted Living following a sudden illness. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Church Building Fund.

Cornelis W. Van Hagen
Cornelis W. Van Hagen Van, of North Canton died June 11, 2001 at the Country Lawn Nursing Home after a five year illness. Born in Indonesia on March 12, 1921, Van came to the United States in 1956. He retired from MIC in New York in 1991. Van had worked in the corrugated paper business for many years. He traveled the world doing a job he loved. In the summer, he could always be found in his garden. In the winter he enjoyed tropical fish and plants. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jan. Also surviving him are his five children, Josephine Bannies, Kathy Tomany, Bill Van Hagen, Cindy and David Schenz, and Paul and Lisa Baylor. He was the grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of one. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Van's life, Sunday, June 17, 2001 at the Reed Funeral Home in Canton, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. If you wish to remember Van in a special way, please make a donation to the Stark County Humane Society in his name. Van loved his cats. Thank you to all who have helped with Van during his illness. You had a very special place in his heart.

Daniel J. Yoerns
Daniel J. Yoerns, age 83, of Bentonville, AK., died Wednesday in the Bates Medical Center, Bentonville, AK., following an extended illness. Son of the late, Fred M. and Martha (Roberts) Yoerns. He was a resident of Arkansas for the past three years prior to which he was a life resident of the Canton and East Canton area. He retired from LTV Steel after 42 years of service. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where he had served on the Consistery Board. He was an avid bowler for a number of years and had achieved the perfect 300 game in 1966, he was a WWII Army Veteran. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte M. Yoerns in 1990; a grandson, Troy Lowery; two brothers; and five sisters. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel L. and Rose Yoerns of Ashfork, AZ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Donald Sodano of Brandon, FL., Carol and Michael Rae of Bentonville, AK., Patti and William Martin of Malvern; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Lynn Yoerns of Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Genevieve Jenny and Robert Davidson of East Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Jenna Meisner and H. Robert Powell officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call one hour before services (9-10 a.m.)

Delbert E. 'Junie' Warner, Jr.
Delbert E. 'Junie' Warner, Jr. Services will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m in the Little Country Church in Waynesburg. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Douglas A. Harbert
Douglas Austin Harbert. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. Kreighbaum -Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 7-9 p.m.

Elmer Cumberledge
Elmer E. Cumberledge, age 71, of Carrollton, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at his residence after a short illness. He was born October 6, 1929 in East Palestine, the son of the late Everett E. and Mabel E. Mayes Cumberledge. He worked as a crane operator at Republic Steel retiring in 1994 after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Abiding Love Fellowship in Germano. On June 26, 1950 he married Joy V. Amburgy who died Nov. 24, 2000. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Stafford Earl and Linda Cumberledge of Fall River, MA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and John Profeta of Perry, OH, and Lorna and Nick Zobenica of Jewett; four grandchildren, Dustin Stewart, William Cumberledge, James Burrier and Stafford Cumberledge, Jr.; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 16, 2001 at the Allmon-Dugger Hively Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial will follow in Westerview Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Gloria Bonvicini
Gloria Bonvicini. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church with Msgr. Jay Clark as Celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday at St. Paul's Church in North Canton one hour prior to the mass from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for masses in Gloria's member. Funeral procession will form at the church. The Rossi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hedwig Millie Hein
Hedwig Millie Hein, age 73, of Canton, died Thursday morning at Altercare of Canton following a nine month illness. A former employee of Timken Mercy Medical Center, a member of Canton Baptist Temple and the Swiss Club. Survived by her husband, Donald; two stepdaughters, Linda and her husband, Jim Howiler of Massillon and Karen Haslar of North Canton; three step grandchildren, Heather Howiler of Cleveland, Amie and her husband, Chris Zelina of Canton and Michael Haslar of Canton; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Dolores Painter of Navarre, Doris and Gale Luyster of St. Clairsville, Eleanor Kutcher of Canton; a brother and sister-in-law, Eldon and Janice Lechner of Cedar Falls, IA. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Mike Frazier officiating. Burial in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Friday (today) 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Department of the Canton Baptist Temple.

Jean Ake
Jean McConkey Ake, age 89, of Hendersonville, NC, formerly of Canton, OH, died May 29, 2001 at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House following an extended illness. A native of Canton, OH, she was the daughter of the Dr. W.A. McConkey and Mary Buell McConkey. Preceded in death by husband, L. Darrell Ake, in 1960; sister, Helen Blythe McConkey. Resident of Hendersonville for six years. Member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Canton. She received her certificate from Kent State University in OH, and became a dedicated, loving second grade elementary school teacher and was a member of the Ohio State Teachers Assoc. and a volunteer for the League of Women Voters. Her grandparents were one of the pioneering families in medicine in Canton, OH. Her grandfather's matched dapple grey horses were used to pull the caisson for President William McKinley's funeral home. As a loving Mom and Grandmama, she is survived by a daughter, Jane O'Leary Hines and husband, Hilton of Hendersonville; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Dr. Auren McConkey of Canton. A memorial service will be Monday, June 18, 2001 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Canton with Rev. C. David Morgan officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Memorial may be made to The Elizabeth House, Four Seasons Hospice, PO Box 2395, Hendersonville, NC 28793, or to the American Cancer Society, PO 6231, Hendersonville, NC 28793. Shuler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard H. Wingard
Richard H. Wingard, age 89, of Canton, OH, passed away Wednesday evening July 13, 2001 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Lamartine, PA on July 31, 1911, he was the son of the late Clyde and Lulu May (Kribbs) Wingard. He had lived the greater portion of his life in Canton, was a graduate of McKinley High School and a retired employee of the Timken Co., retiring in 1974 after having over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Westbrook Park United Methodist Church and the William McKinley Masonic Lodge (Fidelity) #431 F AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie J. (Buchanan) Wingard, who passed away March 26, 1973 and also by a brother, Bernard G. Wingard. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Richard J. and Susan Wingard of Cheshire, CT; grandson, Christopher Wingard of Augusta, GA and granddaughter and husband, Regan and Rick Zuercher of Hudson, OH; great-granddaughter, Erin Zuercher; his twin brother, Robert Wingard of Pittsburg, KS; and brother, Hugh Wingard of Columbus, OH; nephew, Donald Wingard; and niece, Sally Franzen. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12 Noon in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. David Case officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home on Friday (tonight) 7-9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Saturday 11-12 Noon. A Masonic service will be conducted Friday at 6:45 p.m.

Ronald D. Ulrich
Ronald D. Ulrich, age 64, of Coatesville, PA, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Brandywine Hospital and Trauma Center in Coatesville. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Ehret) Ulrich, who died on May 14, 2001. Together they shared 40 years of marriage. Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Omer and Dorothy (Agler) Ulrich. He was a graduate of Navarre High School and attended Ohio University. He was employed as a draftsman, retiring in 1995. A former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Canton. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandson. Survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Ulrich of Kelayres, PA and Rita M. McKahan of Coatesville, PA; one brother, Robert Ulrich of Navarre; one grandson, Patrick McQuown. Preceded in death by a son, Patrick K. Ulrich. A graveside service will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The family would appreciate Mass cards or memorial contributions to the charity of one's own choice.

Warren 'Sam' Swartz
Warren 'Sam' Swartz, age 82, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday evening at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born on December 22, 1918, in Burbank, Ohio, to the late Austin A. and Grace (Repp) Swartz. He moved to Massillon in 1940 and retired from MCA Sign as the Superintendent of Production. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Elno Swartz. He is survived by wife, Helen M. (Cindia) Swartz of the residence with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage on December 25th.; daughter, Mrs. Gary (Donna J.) Davis of Anacortes, WA; sisters, Mrs. Charles (Amanda) Millard of Killbuck, OH., Mrs. Arline (Maude) Esselburn of Greentown, OH; brothers, Blake Swartz of Wooster, Kyle Swartz of Dalton, Lyle Swartz of Smithville. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Aldersgate Chapel of First United Methodist Church with Rev. Leslie A. Peine officiating. There will be no calling hours. Final resting place will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to First United Methodist Church or to Community Hospice.

Wesley M. Christy
Wesley M. Christy, age 81, of Massillon, OH, passed away Tuesday, June 12th, in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Canton on August 19, 1919 he was a decorated veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and receiving the Purple Hearts and Two Bronze Stars. He was a retired employee of the Timken Co., retiring in 1981 after 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Christy of the home, to whom he would have been married for 60 years of December 8, 2001; his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gene Davis of Navarre; son, Wesley E. Christy of Canton Township; and son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Beverly Christy of Westerville, OH; ten grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the North Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Dan Brown, from Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. There were no calling hours and the Reed Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
