Aaron Davis, Jr.
Aaron Pappy Davis, Jr., age 72, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Clay County, WV and had been a Waynesburg resident 35 years. He was a retired employee of Winters Industries and was a member of the United Community Church in Malvern. Preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Survived by his wife, Geneva Davis; two daughters and son-in-law, Jan and Jeff Myers of Waynesburg, Kelly Davis of Canton; one brother, Hollie Davis of Waynesburg; three grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Bruce Moses officiating. Interment in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 7-9 p.m.
Isabelle M. Tilkey
Isabelle M. Tilkey, age 90, of Canton, OH., went home to be with the Lord Monday evening, June 25, 2001 in Manor Care Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born in Pennsylvania January 28, 1911 to her parents the late James and Isabelle Ruffner, she lived most of her life in the Canton area. Mrs. Tilkey was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Tilkey February 27, 1972; two brothers; three sisters; one step-son; two grandsons; and one great- grandson. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and James Barnett of Canton, Sandra and Joseph Orahoske of Peninsula, OH. There are nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; and all the Special Angels at Manor Care. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Dr. Robert E. Buckley officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacobs Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Thursday from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.
Jennie J. Barbato
Jennie J. (Bernardo) Barbato, age 83, of Canton, passed away Monday morning in Altercare of Canton A life resident of Canton, she was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a retired employee of Pilgrim Cleaners having worked as a presser. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Carmela (Evangelista) Bernardo; husband, Joseph Barbato; grandson, Anthony Tony Barbato; brothers, Dominic, Anthony, Sam Bernardo; sisters, Mary Koveski and Catherine Bandiera. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Sandy Barbato of Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Paul Rebillot of Canton; sister, Madaline Willis of Canton; grandchildren, Gina (Barbato) Greenlee, Kenneth Barbato, Paul Rebillot, Ryan Rebillot. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary.
Leonard C. Shutts
Leonard C. Shutts, age 81, of Bedford, OH., passed away Monday June 25, 2001 in Aultman Hospital. Among his survivors are his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Lynn Benek of Cleveland; a step-son, William Lab of Louisville. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Stier- Israel Funeral Home in Louisville. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Alliance City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph's Care Center, Louisville, OH.
Marilyn J. Hardesty
Marilyn J. Hardesty, age 78, of Canton, OH, and more recently of Cocoa, FL, passed away early Sunday evening at her home in Cocoa. Born in Canton, OH, on July 19, 1922 to the late Harry H. and Edna Irene (Owen) Hinton. She was a member of the Westbrook Park United Methodist Church. She was a retired secretary from the Delicious Cream Bakery Company, where she worked for 22 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald C. Hardesty, to whom she was married 59 years. Survivors include one sister, Bette Lehman of Canton; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Chris Hardesty of Cocoa, FL; her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Broyles of Canton; four grandchildren, Jeanie Chaney of Jacksonville, FL, Veronica Milnes of Cocoa, FL, Shonda and Brian Broyles, both of Canton; two great-grandchildren, Sean Chaney of Jacksonville, FL and Jeffrey Milnes of Cocoa, FL. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ulmer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Nicola Bagnoli
Nicola Bagnoli, age 81, of North Canton, passed away Monday morning in Aultman Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack. Born in Fossalto, Italy, he served in the Italian Army During World War II, and was a prisoner of war in Germany for five years. After the war he went back to Italy to work on the family farm. In 1960 he went back to Germany to work in the textile mills for nine years before coming to Canton with his family in 1969. He was retired from the Hoover Co. and prior to that he had been employed at Stark County Engineer's Dept., Bagnolo Cement Contractor and Canton Container. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, United Fossaltese Club and Sons of Italy Ben V. Marconi Lodge #1628. He is survived by his wife, Mariannina (Bagnolo) Bagnoli with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage; two sons and daughters-in-law, Giovanni and Barbara Bagnoli of North Canton, Enzo and Brenda Bagnoli of Louisville; three grandchildren, Nicola, Matthew and Marciano Bagnoli; two brothers, Pietro and Pasquale Bagnoli in Italy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Niocoletta Fierro. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Kevin L. Fete as celebrant. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wedneday from 6-9 p. in the Rossi Funeral Home where the United Fossaltese Club will hold services at 8 p.m. and Sons of Italy Lodge at 8:30 p.m.
Pearl C. McKnight
Pearl C. McKnight, age 80 of Canton, OH, passed away Monday evening in the Hanover House following an extended illness. Born in Canton on December 6, 1920 she was a former employee of the Hoover Co. and the J.C. Penney Co. in Canton. She was an auxillary member of the Eagles Lodge #190 and Elks Lodge #441 in Massillon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron J. Bud McKnight who passed away April 8, 2000. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce D. and Rosemarie Griffen of Canton; two grandsons and their spouses, Brent and Margie Giffen of Taylor Mill, KY, and Eric and Tiffany Giffen of Canton; a great-granddaughter, Rachel Lin Giffen of Canton. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 10-111 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert L. Marks
Robert L. Marks, age 72, Massillon, OH, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2001 in Cleveland Clinic after short illness. Born March 15, 1929 in Massillon, OH, and was a life resident of the area. Mr. Marks was self-employed as an accountant for 46 years as Robert L. Marks, CPA. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Massillon Elks Lodge #441, and Ohio Society of CPA's. He also enjoyed gardening. Preceded in death by parents, Bruce and Orpha B. (Slayman) Marks; brothers, Clifford, Dale and Dean Marks; and sister, Kathryn G. Emery. Survived by wife, Rita I. (Siffrin) Marks to whom he was married 46 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Richard Gardner of Massillon, OH, Katherine and William Pedersen of North Canton, OH, Amy and Antonio Maricocchi of Loveland, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Christine Marks of Massillon, OH; sister, Mrs. Marjorie Wolf of North Canton; grandchildren, Andrew and Michelle Marks, Nicholas Gardner, Frances, Gillian and Maris Pedersen, Katrina, Rita, Domenic and Paul Maricocchi. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle, Massillon with Msgr. Robert Siffrin and Rev. Michael J. Hoffarth officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Calling hours Wednesday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Elks Lodge #441 will hold services at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Wilma Jean Clay
Wilma Jean Clay (Austin), age 74, of Arlington, TX., passed away June 23, 2001. She was born March 16, 1927. She lived in Canton until moving to Arlington, TX., in 1998. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton and worked as a nurse at Aultman and Timken Mercy Hospitals. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Barnhill; husband, Donald Clay; daughter, Karen Sue Austin. She is survived by sons, Richard Austin of Canton, Gregory and his wife Sue Austin of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Services to be held Thursday, June 28, 2001 at the Moore Funeral home in Arlington, TX.
