Interment will be in St. Jacob Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW. Douglas Henson
Douglas Henson, age 52 of North Canton, OH passed away on Wednesday evening, April 18, 2001 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Murphy, NC on June 4, 1948 to his parents, the late Derwood and Nettie Henson, he was a retired electrician from the Timken Co. with 32 years of service. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Franklin Henson and Darrell Henson. He is survived by his wife, Heidi Henson; a son, David D. Henson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Gary Hadden and Barbara and Richard Weaver and four nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. William Watt officiating. Burial will be in North Canton Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stark County Humane Society.

Ethel J. Wideman
Ethel J. Wideman, 82, of North Canton, died Thursday in her home. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia.

Harold B. Festerly
Harold B. Festerly. Requiem High Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours with Rosary at 8p.m. at the Karlo Sons Funeral Home Friday evening 6-9p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 2935 Chenoweth Rd., Akron, OH 44312.

Helen J. Carr
Helen J. Carr, age 68, of Massillon, formerly of Mount Vernon, Indiana, passed away at Rose Lane Nursing Home on Thursday. Services are pending.

Luella L. Iler
Luella L. Iler, age 94, of Massillon, died Wednesday afternoon in Doctors Hospital. Born July 7, 1906 in Dennison, OH to the late Clifford and Margaret Marrow. Preceded in death by her husband, William on February 25, 1950; one son, Robert L. Iler on April 14, 1996. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Thomas Jordan of Massillon; one daughter-in-law, Janet Iler of Canton; five grandchildren, Sherry (Tim) Wilson of Massillon, Laurie (Mike) Jordan of California, Melanie (Todd) Oberlin of Massillon, Robert II (Cathy) Iler of Parma, James Iler of Canton; three great grandchildren also surviving. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Mildred Clark Oleno
Mildred J. (Mickey) Clark Oleno. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Deacon Donald Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Monday in Sunset Hills Burial Park with a service at 10 a.m. in Sunset Hills Burial Park with a service at 10 a.m. in Sunset Hills Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 12-1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Reba M. Thomas
Reba M. Thomas. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Henniger officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours at the funeral home Friday 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Becky Thomas Slutz Scholarship Fund at Malone College.

Sister Shirley Bulger
Sister Shirley Bulger, H.M., formerly Sister Marie del Ray, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Villa Maria Community Center. A member of St. Stephen Parish, Niles, OH, she joined the Sisters of the Humility of Mary in 1951. Her active ministry of 43 years was spent in the education, music and housing ministries in the Cleveland, Youngstown and Pittsburgh Dioceses, including Central Catholic High School in Canton. Survived by the Sisters of the Humility of Mary congregation; and her sister, Agnes Wolfe. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes O'Reilly Bulger. Calling hours Friday (today), April 20, 3-5 and 6-8 p.m, with wake service at 7:15 p.m, and on Saturday, April 21, 1-2:30 p.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. at Villa Maria Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, Villa Maria, PA 16155.

Susie L. Ellison
Susie L. (Mastin) Ellison, age 62 of Canton, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2001 after a brief illness. She was born on January 11, 1939, in Canton where she lived all her life. Left to cherish her memory, husband, Kenneth Ellison; one son, Victor (Bridgett) Blair; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; her mother, Elease Mastin; four sisters, Erdis Allen, Jean Marshall, Bonnie Mastin, Ead Lena Marshall; one brother, Eugene (Lillian) Mastin, all of Canton; a very dear friend, Florida Bingham; and a host of other relatives. There will be no calling hours or services. Condolences and visitation will be on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 2 p.m. at 1531 Gibbs Ave NE, Canton, OH 44705. Arrangements by Brogdon Son Funeral Home.

Alice M. Cosentino
Alice M. Cosentino, age 76, of Canton, passed away Thursday evening in Arbors of Canton after a brief illness. She was a life resident of Canton. Member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a member of TOPPS. She was a retired employee of Kroger's Supermarket, employed for 15 years as a cashier. Survived by her husband, Joseph Cosentino, to whom she was married 42 years; one brother, George Brighenti and one sister, Caroline Brighenti, both of Canton; three nephews, Danny Interliggi, Don and Joe Brighenti; two nieces, Mary Almond and Sandy Ellsweller. Preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Brighenti; a sister, Delores Interliggi. Mass of Christian Burial will be sung Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rossi Funeral Home Monday 9-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.

Anna Degrillos
Anna Degrillos, age 94, who made her home with her brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Dina Degrillos of Canton. She passed away early Friday morning in Altercare of Canton after an extended illness. She was born in Chios, Greece, coming to this country in 1955 and had been a resident of the Canton area since that time. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to her brother, she is survived by her cousin, Peter Kourmoulis of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Argiro Degrillos. Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Church with Rev. Fr. John Stavropoulos officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rossi Funeral Home Sunday 6-8 p.m. There will be a Trisagion Prayer Service Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Connie E. Shehan
Connie E. Shehan, age 45, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday April 18, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Canton on April 17, 1956 and remained a life long resident. She was employed by Haines and Company, Inc., where she had many dear friends. Her last days were spent at home surrounded by the family and friends she loved so much. She is survived by her loving parents, Robert J. and Cleta Shehan of Canton; sisters, Tessa Shehan of Malvern, Christie (Gary) Gleason of Massillon; cherished nieces, Sara Stewart and Alyssa Gleason; great nephew, Garrett Stewart; and great niece, Brooke Stewart all of Massillon; and a host of other relatives and dear friends in Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Her wishes were to be cremated. There will be a memorial service Monday April 23, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at 5929 Island Drive NW, Canton, OH 44718. Pastor Jack Mayle of Canton Freewill Baptist Church will officiate at 7 p.m.

Eleanor L. Krach
Eleanor L. Krach, age 74, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord, passing away Wednesday morning April 18, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Richard Krach; six children, Sherry Myers, Janie Myers of Florida, Tim and Leta Myers, Terry Myers, Tom Krach and Susan Cespedes of Florida; four grandchildren, Holly Myers, Tina and Andrew Wright, Heather Myers, Josh and Danielle Jellel; two great grandchildren. There will be no calling hours or services. Her wishes were to be cremated and her cremains will be buried in North Lawn Cemetery. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen J. Carr
Helen J. Carr, age 68, passed away Thursday at Rose Lane Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born in Linden, TN she was a member of First Church of The Nazarene in Canton. Preceded in death by her husband, John M. Carr; one sister, four brothers, and parents, Samuel and Sudie Bulla. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Dina Carr of Indiana, Bart and Dawn Carr of Virginia, Timothy and Karen Walton of Indiana, Gary Carr and Ronald Walton both of Indiana; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Larry Stratton of Indiana, Sharon and Les Snyder of Massillon, Tina and Kirk Harbin of Massillon, Sylvia Jones of Canton; 29 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Effie Caley of Illinois and Mary Patrick of Indiana; one brother, George Bulla of Illinois. Services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Schneeberger Funeral Home with Rev. Russell J. Long Sr. officiating. Friends and family may call from 2-4 p.m. before services. The family wishes to thank the staff at Rose Lane Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave Helen while she was a resident for the past nine years.

Kyle James Green
Kyle James Green, went home to be with the Lord shortly after his birth on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center. Kyle is survived by his parents, Amy Kems and John Green of Waynesburg; his sister, Sarah Lynn of the home. Kyle will always be in the hearts of the many who loved him. Family and friends are invited to join Amy and John at a graveside service for Kyle on Monday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Louisville with Pastor Jeff Stevenson of Louisville Church of Christ officiating. The Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home of Louisville is entrusted with Kyle's arrangements.

Larry R. Dinkins
Larry R. Dinkins, age 59, of Akron, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away April 19, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Born in Huntington, WV, Larry had lived in Akron most of his life, worked at General Tire for 17 years and was employed at Lucas Insulation. Larry attended St. Matthew Catholic Church in Akron. He has left behind a great legacy, a tribute to the way he lived his life. Those whose lives he touched will always remember his loving heart and his unselfish ways. Larry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen; children, Bobby (Shelly) Dinkins, Amy (Jack) DeLeo and Jennifer (Ed) Smith; his most cherished granddaughters, Madison and Haylee; his loving sisters, Judith (Dick) Migchelbrink, Janet (Richard) Devine and Jackie Pollard; lifelong friend and mentor, Percy Grenfell, and many extended family members who loved him dearly. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-6 p.m. at Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Akron with Fr. Thomas McGovern, celebrant. Interment in Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mercy Medical Ireland Cancer Center, 1320 Mercy Dr., Canton, OH 44708, c/o Sally Glass.

Linda K. Sanford
Linda K. Sanford, age 59, of Canton passed away Thursday April 19, 2001 at Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. A lifetime resident of Canton. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple, and she was very devoted to her family. Preceded in death by her parents, Ross D. and Edna (Greene) Sanford. Survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Sanford of Canton; a sister and brother-in-law, Peg and Loren Wilson of Canton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Lynn Sanford of North Canton, Gary and Linda Sanford of Louisville; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Monday 11 a.m. at the Welch-Sekeres-Lewis Funeral Home. Dr. Harold Henniger will officiate. Burial at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be Sunday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margaret E. Hirst
Margaret E. Hirst, age 94, of 22284 US Rt. 30, Minerva, OH., died Friday, April 20, 2001 in Minerva Elder Care following a long illness. She was born June 14, 1906 in Magnolia, OH to William and Sarah (Long) Lewis. She was a 1924 graduate of Malvern High School, graduate of Carrollton Normal School and Kent State University, is a member of Bayard United Methodist Church, a retired School Teacher for MI Day Elementary, member of the Bayard Grange #1878, Esther Chapter #120 O.E.S. a former member of the AARP and also a former member of the Ohio and National Retired Teachers Associations. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hirst who died June 9, 1979; two brothers, Donald and Arthur Lewis. She is survived by a daughter, Twila Pottorf of Minerva; a sister, Helen Romana of Malvern; two grandchildren, Janice McNutt of Elyria, Larry and Diane Pottorf of Minerva; a great-grandchild, Logan Pottorf of Minerva. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Gotchall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. James Huston officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home with Eastern Star Services at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Bayard United Methodist Church.

Maurice (Mick) Franta
Maurice (Mick) Franta, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning April 18, 2001 in Denver Medical Health Center. Mick has been a resident of a Aspen, CO. He was seasonably employed by the Aspen Ski Co. He was an avid skier and tennis player. Mick was born November 22, 1952. Survived by parents, Tom and Ginger Franta. He was preceded in death by his sister, Val, 16 years ago. Mick has 2 1/2 years at Kent State University in Kent. Other survivors are aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Halteman, aunt Jane Cropley, aunt and uncle Margie and Ed Franta, aunt Irene Bowermaster, uncle Carl Cochran; cousins Pam and Don Crile, Barb and Mike Satow; and numerous other cousins; and former loving wife, Holley of Aspen; a son Rob, a student at Texas A M. There will be a memorial Mass in Sun Valley, Idaho and Aspen Colorado. Mick's body has been donated to Donor Alliance and Rocky Mtn Lions Eye Bank. He will be cremated with his ashes being placed over his favorite ski runs in both Aspen, CO and Sun Valley, ID by his many, many friends. There will be memorial services in both villages. There was a private memorial Mass with Fr. Donald Oser officiating at St. Michael's Friday 9:30 a.m. for immediate family. The family requests no flowers, if so desire Masses for Mick with gratitude calling parish office.
