Betty Buck
GENEVA - Betty Buck, 73, formerly of North Avenue, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at Geneva Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Columbus, the daughter of Elmer and Violet Buck.
She had been a housekeeper.
She enjoyed sewing, coloring and watching Lawrence Welk and westerns on TV.
Survivors include her friend and caregiver, Gordon L. Schupska of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her 45-year friend, Willie Koshnik.
No service or calling hours were observed.
The Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, has charge of the arrangements.

James B. Clint
ASHTABULA - James B. Clint, 81, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at his home following a long battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 17, 1920, in Ashtabula, the son of James and Florence (Carlton) Clint.
He was a 1938 graduate of Harbor High School.
Mr. Clint was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II, earning several medals and commendations.
On June 23, 1951, he married Eileen Riehl.
He retired as a captain from the Ashtabula Police Department in 1974 after 25 years of service. He also worked for 12 years as the receiving dock foreman for the Carlisle-Allen Co.
He was a lifelong member of Mother of Sorrows Church, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police 26. He served as a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus 360, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 943, past member of the American Legion Dewey Howlett Post 103, and a charter member of the St. James Post of Catholic War Veterans.
Mr. Clint was a Boy Scoutmaster for Troop 5, and an active member of his church. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, traveling, puzzles, reading, and photography.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; a daughter, Judith Ann Holt of Manassas, Va.; three sons, Timothy of McKean, Pa., Thomas of Pennsville, N.J., and Terry of Fridley, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and his brother, Robert of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday at Mother of Sorrows Church, 1464 W. 6th St., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Michael Balash officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Ave., Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County, the American Cancer Society, or the Mother of Sorrows Church Memorial Fund.

Helen J. Corlett
ASHTABULA - Helen J. (Eldred) Corlett, 76, of Zima Drive, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center Hospice Unit.
She was born June 3, 1925, in Jefferson, the daughter of Rollie C. and Mary Gale (Utterback) Eldred and had been an area resident most of her life. From 1967 to 1979, she lived in Marietta.
She graduated from Jefferson High School and prior to her marriage to George Kneale Corlett on Dec. 21, 1946, she worked as a court secretary at the Ashtabula County Court House.
Mrs. Corlett was a member of Plymouth United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Women's Fellowship. She formerly served as secretary of the Women's Fellowship and volunteered extensively.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling, baking pies, hummingbirds, flower gardening, and most of all, her family.
Survivors include two sons, Roger (wife, Shirley) of North Kingsville, and Dana (wife, Toni) of Concord; two daughters, Linda King (husband, Herbert "Woody"), and Carol Corlett, both of Ashtabula; six grandchildren, Robert, David, Mark, Lisa, Kathleen, and Timothy; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Matthew, and Avery; and three sisters, Mrs. James (Virginia) Greene of Lenox Township, Mrs. Eugene (Arleen) Musgrave of Bradenton, Fla., and Mrs. Francis (Norma) Piper of Andover.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Kneale, on Nov. 11, 2000; three brothers, Raymond G., Roland J., and Richard C. Eldred; and her parents.
Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Plymouth United Methodist Church, 970 Plymouth Road, with the Rev. Betsy Schenk, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lenox Center Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, and Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family requests no flowers be sent. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth United Methodist Church Building Fund, of to Hospice of Ashtabula County, 2420 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.

Jehoshuah "Josh" Salviano
ASHTABULA - Jehoshuah "Josh" Salviano, 20, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at University Hospitals, Cleveland.
He was born Aug. 19, 1981, in Ashtabula, the son of Richard and Joanne (Crim) Salviano.
Josh was employed as an assistant manager at the Kingsway Christian Book Store in the Ashtabula Mall. He previously worked at the Chalk Box, Ashtabula. He was the lead piano player at Pentecostal Church of God, Cook Road, and was a member of the church praise and worship team .
A member of Faith Freedom Fellowship in Saybrook Township for 17 years, he served as a Sunday School teacher, youth Leader, played the organ and piano, and sang with the praise and worship team. He also was in charge of the computer ministry and the book ministry. He was active with the puppet ministry at the Ashtabula First Church of Nazarene.
Josh enjoyed going to church, playing the piano, and had a great knowledge of computers.
Survivors include his parents of Ashtabula; three brothers, Michael of Ashtabula, Richard Jr. of Kingsville Township, and M. Mark of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Angel Griffith of Ashtabula and Glory Salviano-Welcheck of Albion, Pa.; and grandmother, Blanche Crim of Springfield, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen Crim and Michael and Assunta Salviano.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula. Interment will be in Ridgeview Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salviano family.
Guerriero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty A. Cox
CONNEAUT - Betty A. Cox, 58, of Harbor Street, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 25, 1943, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Cecil and Anne E. (Crane) Hinkle.
Mrs. Cox was an Edgewood High School graduate and was employed as an inspector at Hercules Packing, Conneaut.
She was a member of First Assembly of God, Conneaut, and enjoyed crocheting, latch hook, collecting Beanie Babies, painting, gardening, cooking and music.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald L., whom she married Sept. 18, 1982; her daughter, Elizabeth Woodburn of Stowe; her stepdaughter, Pamela Bean of Ashtabula; her stepmother, Jean Hinkle Burns of Ashtabula; two stepsisters, Janine Burro Ashtabula and Barbara Risner of Springfield, Mo.; and a stepbrother, Douglas Hill of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Hinkle Sr.
Service is 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Jack D. Woods of First Assembly of God, Conneaut, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, N.Y., 10598.
Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Frederick Leo Reynolds
ASHTABULA - Frederick Leo Reynolds, 85, of West Satin Street, Jefferson, and Lenox-New Lyme Road, Lenox Township, died Saturday evening, March 30, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born June 10, 1916, in West Andover, the son of Leonard Leo and Vera E. (Hawes) Reynolds, and had been an area resident most of his life. He was a Geneva High School 1936 graduate of .
Mr. Reynolds was a U.S. Army Signal Corps veteran, serving in Iran during World War II.
He worked at Chaman's Greenhouse, Geneva; Geneva Metal Wheel for 28 years, and retired from Reliance Electric Corp. in 1978.
He was a member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, Jefferson
Mr. Reynolds was a member of Geneva Fraternal Order of Eagles, since 1957, serving in all Aerie offices, including president in 1957-58 and 1982-83. He was elected to the Ohio State Eagles Hall of Fame for his years of service to the organization. He was also a charter member of Geneva Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6846 in 1946, and was a member of Ashtabula Loyal Order of the Moose.
He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball, golf, dancing, and bowling, and served as F.O.E. bowling league secretary for 32 years. He was a thoughtful, kind man who was known for his sense of humor and was loved and respected by those close to him.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. (Budd) Stehura Reynolds, whom he married July 8, 1978, in Jefferson; a son, Merle Gains of Ogdensburg, N.Y.; a daughter, Merilyn LeMay of Geneva; 12 stepchildren, Harry Gains of Ashtabula, Verna Spellman and Marian Valpone of Geneva, Peter Stehura Jr. of Jefferson, Stephen Stehura of Wickliffe, Charles and Lawrence Stehura of Geneva, Helena Bruner of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Lenore Tredway of Conneaut, Loretta Jacob of Niles, C.J. Seaman of Lebanon, Tenn., and Karen Baker of Jefferson; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Anna Gains; two brothers, Keith and Ralph; two sisters, Pearl Tatrault and Catherine Barton; and a stepson, David Stehura.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Calasanctius, 32 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Stephen Wassie officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, where Geneva VFW Post 6846 will conduct military services.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, where an Eagles memorial service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County, 2420 Lake Ave., Ashtabula 44004, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton 44720. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Dorothy Pearson
WAUCHULA, Fla. - Dorothy Rose Pearson, 70, formerly of Conneaut, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at the Florida Hospital of Wauchula, Wauchula, Fla.
She was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Conneaut, the daughter of Arthur and Rose (Myers) Pearson.
She attended school in Conneaut and later was secretary for St. Frances Cabrini Church for many years.
She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Altar Rosary Society and was a member of St. Michael's Church, Wauchula, Fla., the Council of Catholic Women and the ASPIR Growth Group.
She enjoyed reading and needlepoint. She also loved to watch television and soap operas. In her younger years, she was an avid volunteer at various church functions.
Survivors include two cousins, Joyce Maenpaa of Wauchula, Fla., and Edward Palagyi of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas of St. Frances and St. Mary and the Rev. Frederick Lukehart of Christ Our King Church, Warren, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
