Randal J. Cimorell
ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - Randal James Cimorell, 37, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in western Pennsylvania as a result of an automobile crash.
He was born April 30, 1964, in Ashtabula, to Anthony and Norma (Vacco) Cimorell.
Mr. Cimorell was a manager for Dollar General, Geneva. Before that, he managed the Ashtabula Roller Den and Nappi's Car Wash. He also had managed a beverage shop; was a district manager for Dairy Mart; and was an owner of the racketball club in Ashtabula.
He enjoyed being with his family and his dogs, Ellie and Muffin. He was godfather to Anthony and JoAnna Keller of Ashtabula.
Survivors include his mother of Ashtabula; a brother Ron, of Ashtabula; and a sister, Tina Keller of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Anthony.
Funeral is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township. The Rev. Michael Balash of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will officiate.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Jacqueline E. Tiitto
ASHTABULA - Jacqueline Elaine Tiitto, 67, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
She was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Warren, the daughter of George and Caroline (Jackson) Mickelson. She lived in Ashtabula since 1957, moving here from Warren.
She had been a registered nurse at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, retiring in 1990.
She married Robert Tiitto on Oct. 12, 1957, in Warren.
She was a graduate of the nursing program at Youngstown St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Ohio Nurses Association.
She enjoyed sewing and reading.
Survivors include two sons, Mark of Ashtabula, and Karl of Madison; a sister, June Corea of Girard; and a brother George Mickelson of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, on Dec. 30, 1997.
Service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. The Rev. David Hofer of Bethany Lutheran Church, Ashtabula, will officiate. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula.
Calling hour begins at noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Katherine M. Jasek
ASHTABULA - Katherine M. Jasek, 84, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 14, 1916, in Wilmerding, Pa., the daughter of Michaele and Tekla Dratwa.
She had been a resident of Ashtabula County for the past 70 years and lived the past five years at the Jefferson Geriatric Center.
She worked for the Ashtabula Tannery.
Mrs. Jasek was a past member of St. Joseph Church in Ashtabula.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Stainfield of Cadiz, Ky.; three granddaughters, Debra Winters of Phoenix, Ariz., Tami Stainfield of San Francisco, Calif., and Dawn Stills of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Karol of Mentor, Edward of California and John of Ashtabula; three sisters, Mary Campbell of Germantown, Tenn., Frances Corbin of Senica, S.C., and Sophie Cave of Ashtabula; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karol, in May 25, 1973; three brothers; Joe, Stanley and Casper Dratwa; and a daughter, Anne, in 1936.
Service is 11 a.m. today at the family gravesite in Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Geriatrics Center activity fund.
The Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, has charge of the arrangements.

Rachel Elizabeth Levine
ASHTABULA - Rachel Elizabeth Levine, 89, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
A lifelong area resident, she was born in Ashtabula on March 1, 1912, the daughter of John and Senia (Saxberg) Paananen.
On Sept. 2, 1930, she married Nathan Levine.
She sold fine china for the Carlisle Department Store. She also worked at Mitchell Hardware and Ward Products.
Mrs. Levine enjoyed sewing, gardening and collecting fine china. She was also very family-oriented.
Survivors include her daughters, Carole Marchand of Ashtabula and Sandra Rodebaugh of Lake Forest, Calif.; grandchildren Sharon Meade, Terri VanGilder, Joe Marchand, Michael Rodebaugh and Gary Rodebaugh; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 31, 1984; and her brothers, John and Armand Paananen.
Service is 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula Township
Calling hours are from noon until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula Fine Arts Center.

Anthony J. Kaluza
CONNEAUT - Anthony J. Kaluza, 92, of Conneaut, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Inn-Conneaut Health Center.
He was born Oct. 3, 1908, the son of Anthony and Antonia (Maleckar) Kaluza.
He was an electrician, and worked many years in the Conneaut area.
He was an avid bee raiser, loved talking on his "ham" radio and enjoyed volunteering his time for charities and churches.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph of Camden; and a sister, Caroline Cawley of Eldred, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut. The Rev. Raymond Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
Calling hour is 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Melodie E. Bollman
ASHTABULA - Melodie E. Bollman, 71, of Ashtabula, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Ashtabula, the daughter of William and Mamie (Taanila) Luoma.
Mrs. Bollman was a lifelong area resident. She graduated in 1948 from Harbor High School.
Mrs. Bollman also graduated of Suomi College and also, attended the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied voice classes.
She was the director of the Women's Ensemble vocal group, which organized in 1965 for a Christmas program for the Women of Bethany, and disbanded 20 years later after performing for many people in the Ashtabula area.
Mrs. Bollman was a past president of the City Counsel PTA, which was a citywide council in 1971.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the Chancel Choir for many years, served as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible school teacher, director of the Junior Choir, director of the Christian Education Committee, Sunday school supervisor and coordinator of numerous projects.
Mrs. Bollman was also a soloist for the Ashtabula Messiah Chorus and she compiled the Bethany Bulletin for many years, handled the publicity for the church and for joint events by the Harbor churches.
She also coordinated the Advent Walks, was active in the Mother/Teacher Guild, Mom's Club, PTA, was president of the Women of Bethany, and served on the Pulpit Committee and the church council.
Survivors include her husband, Byron Bollman, whom she married Nov. 3, 1951 in Ashtabula; son, James of Columbus; daughter, Susan Yeagley of Ashtabula; a brother, William Luoma of Bowling Green; a sister, Virginia Bell of Beverly Hills, Calif.; a grandson, Jon Yeagley and granddaughters, Gina Yeagley, Courtney Bollman and Stephanie Bollman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Sharon.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 933 Michigan Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. David L. Hofer officiating.
Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Potti Lakeside Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Addison Goodell III
ASHTABULA - Addison Goodell III, 77, of Walnut Boulevard, Ashtabula, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at the Jefferson Geriatric Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1925, in Loda, Ill., the son of Addison II and Marian (West) Goodell.
Mr. Goodell had been an area resident since 1950.
He graduated with a class of 25 students from Loda High School in 1943, but missed his graduation ceremony because of his enlistment in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
After completing navigator training, he was assigned to the 773rd Bomb Squadron, Foggia, Italy, and flew 26 combat missions as a B-17 navigator during World War II.
Mr. Goodell was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal, and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant in 1945. Upon his return home, he attended the University of Illinois.
Mr. Goodell moved to Ashtabula in 1950 to help open the new National Distillers Sodium Plant on State Road. He was personnel manager for the plant, which at that time was RMI Inc.
He also worked for the Geneva Rubber Co. as personnel manager from 1978 until 1981, and was director of personnel at the Ashtabula County Medical Center from 1982 until 1987.
Mr. Goodell devoted his professional experience to human relations and benefits, striving to balance the needs of employees with the needs of the business operation.
He loved living on the shores of Lake Erie, took great pride in his North Coast home and especially enjoyed tracking the Great Lakes ore boats.
Mr. Goodell could often be found walking the beach with his beloved cat, and also loved gardening and bird watching.
He was devoted to his family and his community, serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the First Congregational Church. Mr. Goodell was a coach and umpire with Little League Baseball, an adult leader with the YMCA Indian Guides, and a member of the Elks Club.
He was elected to the Ashtabula City Area School Board of Education, serving as a two-term president, and taught business classes at the Kent State University Ashtabula Campus.
After he retired in 1987, Mr. Goodell volunteered with many organizations, including the Harbor Architectural Restoration and Review Board and the Sam Wharram Nature Club.
Survivors include his wife, Chris of Ashtabula, whom he married June 6, 1954; two sons, Addison IV of Columbus and Robert of Dillon, Colo.; one daughter, Elizabeth of Philadelphia; and his grandchildren, Addem and Erin Goodell, both of Dillon, Colo.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Patricia Goodell; and his parents.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the Askew-Brink-Ducro Harbor Funeral Home, 1709 West 11th St., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Glen Warner of the Second Congregational United Church of Christ officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula Area Museum and Historical Society, 1071 Walnut Blvd., Ashtabula.
