Ida M. Adams
ASHTABULA - Ida M. Adams, 92, W. 48th St., died early Thursday morning at Ashtabula County Medical Center, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.
Born March 25, 1910, in Havanna, Ala., the daughter of Warren and Carrie Marks.
She had been a resident of Ashtabula for the past seven years, coming from Cleveland.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Mack of Jefferson, and two sister-in-laws, Dollie and Rae Marks, both of Cleveland.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Dave Chappell of the Central Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Ashtabula. No calling hours will be observed.
Phyllis M. Solembrino
ASHTABULA - Phyllis Marie Solembrino, 63, of Ashtabula died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, in the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Michael and Stella (Notarianni) Bruno.
Mrs. Solembrino graduated from Harbor High School in 1957.
She was a bookkeeper and worked for the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Ashtabula County Medical Center and for St. John High School.
Mrs. Solembrino enjoyed baking and craft fairs and was involved with fund raising for St. John High School.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie Solembrino Twining, of Ashtabula, and two sisters, Michaeletta Bruno and Lucinda DeCato, both of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., in Ashtabula.
Dorothy A. Guerini
ASHTABULA - Dorothy A. Guerini, 72, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
Born March 9, 1930, in Ashtabula, she was a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Thomas) Puchan and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1948 Ashtabula High School graduate, she married Joseph F. Guerini in St. Joseph Church on Sept. 23, 1950.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Mission and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She was a dedicated member of the church and was active on all the MDM Feat committees.
Mrs. Guerini worked for Ward Products and also worked for G & G Catering Co.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening, the Cleveland Indians, cooking and, most especially, her family.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, Joe and John of Ashtabula and Jeff of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Melinda, Justin, and Lindsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Michael, John, Joseph, Steven, James and George; four sisters, Mary Vetrano, Helen Chabola and Agnes and Frances Puchan.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Mission, West Avenue, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Phillip Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.

Julianna Arvidson
ASHTABULA - Julianna "Cookie" Arvidson, 62, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, following a short illness.
Born Oct. 6, 1939, in Gary, W.Va., she was a daughter of Andrew and Mary (Levchuch) Andrego.
A 1957 Edgewood High School graduate, she married Dennis Arvidson on May 3, 1958, in Faith Lutheran Church, where she has been a member ever since.
Mrs. Arvidson worked for 25 years as a bus driver for Ashtabula Area City Schools, retiring in 1999.
She enjoyed ceramics, stained glass, shopping and sales, and especially her family.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Chris Taylor of Madison, Leanne Imbrogno of Ashtabula and Betsy Hyde of Pataskala; a son, David of North Canton; two sisters, Juanita Gillespie of North Kingsville and Helen Halcomb of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, James of Cherry Valley Township, and Raymond and Rick of Ashtabula; and eight grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsey, Matthew, Greg, Alex, Megan, Hannah and Jeffery "JJ."
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Justin Wright.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, 504 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Anthony Dusso officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township.

Anthony Pinelli
ASHTABULA - Anthony Pinelli, 82, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1919, in Ashtabula, the son of Dominic and Rosa Marie (DiDanato) Pinelli.
He worked for RMI Sodium Plant as a millwright for 32 years. Before that, he sailed on the Great Lakes for 15 years and during World War II served in the Merchant Marines.
Mr. Pinelli belonged to Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church.
He was a member of Lodge 1924 of the Elks, Post 0151 of the American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose in Conneaut, and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ashtabula.
He was a past active member of the Harbor High School Athletic Boosters and was instrumental in getting the lights and poles at Wenner Field replaced in the 1970s.
Survivors include his daughter, Gilmond Marie; four sisters, Evelyn, Helen Filsinger, Irene Jackson and Millie Matson; two brothers, James and Cosi; and his fiancé Joyce Stasko of North Kingsville.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula. The Rev. Betsy Schenk of Plymouth United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Saybrook Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Carl W. Rider
ASHTABULA - Carl Wilson Rider, 90, of Lake Ave., Lakeview Towers, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 25, 1911, in Basil, the son of Charles and Laura (Burger) Keys. Upon the death of his mother shortly after his birth, he was adopted by Josephine Burger and Carl P. Rider.
He attended Ashtabula Area City Schools.
Mr. Rider served in the U.S. Army ordinance corps as a cook. He served in the European Theater during World War II.
He retired from Eastman's Market as a meat cutter.
He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, attending meetings in the Ashtabula area. He celebrated 26 years of sobriety.
Mr. Rider was a member of St. Joseph Church, Ashtabula
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Helen (Pastor); a daughter, Jo Ann Holtz; two sisters, Ione Cox of Canal Winchester, and Verla Lamb of Carrol; five grandchildren, Lori Riley, Amy Lamm, Lisa Syrek, Amy Cymanski and William E. Holtz; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ethel M. Turner
ASHTABULA - Ethel M. Turner, 91, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at Country Club Retirement III.
She was born Aug. 6, 1909, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Harry and Regina (Swedenborg) Olson.
Mrs. Turner was a lifelong Ashtabula resident. She co-owned and worked with her husband, George, at Turner's Pharmacy in Ashtabula Harbor. She graduated from Harbor High School, and was very active in the Harbor High School Band Boosters.
Mrs. Turner was active in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where she was a Choir Mother. She was a member of Redbrook and Ashtabula Yacht Clubs and a past member of the Eastern Star. She loved music, playing both piano and organ. She also was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed fishing and boating.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Jackson of Falls Church, Va.; a son, David, of Ashtabula; a sister, Avis Walsh of Ashtabula; and a granddaughter, Laurie Ann Kender.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1995; a brother, William Olson; and a grandson, David Jackson.
A private memorial service will be held at a lalter date. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
