Dora M. Heasley
ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - Dora M. Heasley, 95, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She had been a resident of the Country Club Retirement Center.
Born April 2, 1906, in Warren, she was a daughter of Joseph and Sara (Armstrong) Sullivan.
She was a member of the Etna Lodge, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Betty Heasley of Ashtabula; granddaughters Roberta Nelson and Denise Gunter; eight great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira; her son, William; two brothers; and two sisters.
Entombment will take place Wednesday in Mount Royal Memorial Park, Glenshaw, Pa.
The Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, has charge of the arrangements.
Paul M. Lind
ASHTABULA - Paul M. Lind, 87, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Park Haven Nursing Home, where he had lived for the past year.
He was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Ashtabula, the son of Martin V. and Emma M. (Nielson) Lind and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A 1931 graduate of Ashtabula High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
Mr. Lind worked as a local salesman for the National Biscuit Co., Cleveland, for more than 40 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 943, Ashtabula, and Retired Teamsters.
Survivors include a daughter, Lyn Savarise of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Helen (Maule) Lind.
A private funeral service was held Monday at the Childs & Williams Funeral Home, 1440 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Stephen R. Long of First Presbyterian Church, Ashtabula, officiating. Burial was in Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula Arts Center or the music fund of First Presbyterian Church.
Frank Joseph Noce
ASHTABULA - Frank Joseph Noce, 83, a resident of Ashtabula, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, inNoce_eps Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born November 1, 1919, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Peter and Louise (Cusano) Noce.
After graduating from Ashtabula High School in 1938, he entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a Commander in the 8th Armored Tank Division.
A manager for both Ashtabula and Geneva Kroger Stores, he retired from the Saybrook Kroger's Store as Head Produce Clerk. Mr. Noce was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, V.F.W., and Local 880 Retail Clerk Union.
Survivors include his wife, the former Josephine Lignetta; a daughter, Jean Harchalk of Ashtabula; and a granddaughter, Lisa Harchalk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Guy, Carl, Raymond, Arthur, and infant brother, Raymond; and a sister, Angela Faieta.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with burial to take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Edwin Karlo Lehto
CROSSVILLE, TN - Edwin Karlo Lehto, 90, of Crossville, TN, passed away April 26, 2003.
Born September 29, 1912, in Ashtabula, the son of Charles V. and Maria Kujanpaa Lehto. Mr. Lehto was a retired machinist and of the Protestant faith. He belonged to the Teamsters Union and United Steel Workers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Donald M. Lehto of Northfield, and Lanny E. Lehto of Falls Church, VA; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alfred G. Colucci
MADISON, Wis. - Alfred G. Colucci, 76, of Madison, Wis., died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002.
He was born May 29, 1926 in Ashtabula, the son of Adolph and Mary (Landolfi) Colucci.
Mr. Colucci volunteered for active combat service during World War II as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division.
After the war, Mr. Colucci became a history and civics teacher at Central High in Wisconsin, and later an administrator after completing his graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Mr. Colucci was head principal of Madison West High School for 21 years and retired in 1992.
He was an active member in the National Association of Secondary School Principals, Kiwanis, Elks, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Good Shepherd and All Saints Lutheran Churches, and a 32nd degree Mason in Madison Lodge 5, Scottish Rite, and a Knight of the Templar Order in York Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Elfriede of Madison, Wis.; a son, Lamont of Wisconsin; a daughter, Heidie of Wisconsin; and five siblings.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at All Saints Lutheran Church, Madison, Wis.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, Wis.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road.

Carolyn M. Downie
ASHTABULA - Carolyn Mae Downie, 70, of Center Street, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at her son David's home in Geneva.
She was born May 12, 1932 in Ashtabula, the daughter of George E. and Aleen (Tilton) Swanson and had been a lifelong Ashtabula County resident.
Prior to her retirement, she along with her sister Margaret, owned and operated North Coast Mini Mart in North Kingsville for nine years and previously worked 19 years at Yoder Brothers Nursery.
Mrs. Downie was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashtabula and was also active in the Ashtabula Eagles Ladies Auxiliary F.O.E. 1463 and the Quilter's Guild.
She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and an accomplished painter, she enjoyed geneology, gardening, traveling, baking apple pies and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Aleen Swanson of Ashtabula; seven children, Beckie A. Bartel of Mayfield Heights, Joe H. Downie II of Ashtabula, Sally C. Condra of Blaine, Minn., Donald G. and Paula Downie of Bowling Green, Diane L. Montgomery of Conneaut, Susan M. Carr of Mayfield Heights, and David J. and Jodee Downie of Geneva; 17 grandchildren, Brian, Sheridan, Joseph III, Matthew, Kaylyn, Jon, Rayna, Cassandra, Thomas, Brandi, Katrina, Steven, Sarah, Stacy, Jason, Daniel and Ryan; one great-grandchild, Jordan; one brother, Lawrence L. and Alyce Swanson of Austinburg; two sisters, Margaret A. McConnell of Ashtabula and Linda M. Sprankle of Painesville; one sister-in-law, Pauline "Sue" Korepta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Downie; two daughters in infancy, Barbara Jo and Katrina A. Downie; her son-in-law, Larry Olekshuk; a brother, Merle R. Swanson; and her father.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Park Avenue, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Virgil V. Reeve officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.

Donald L. Kibbee
VERO BEACH, Fla. - Donald L. Kibbee, 70, of Vero Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 31, 1931 in Ashtabula, the son of E. Leroy and Lois (Tracy ) Kibbee.
Mr. Kibbee had been a resident of Florida for the past 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Raynette Kibbee and Rebecca Ransom, both of Orlando, Fla.; one grandson, Noel Ransom; three sisters, Bevra Young of Houston, Texas, Betty Trent of Ashtabula, and Lois Dubach of Geneva; three brothers, James Kibbee of Houston, Texas, Kenneth Kibbee of St. Peterburg, Fla., and Randall Kibbee of Palm Bay, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lora "Sparky" (Groves); his daughter, Kittie in 1992; and his sister, Patricia in 2001.
Cremation arrangements handled by Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 South U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge, Fla. Interment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens.
