Mary E. Wolfe
ASHTABULA - Mary Elizabeth Wolfe, 84, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Ashtabula, died Wednesday, 6_14_wolfe_eps June 11, 2003 at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born June 12, 1918 in Athens, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Cone) Rose.
Mrs. Wolfe was a homemaker and a member of the Grottoettes and the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Thayer, Marianne (Hiram) Cannon, and Libby Jane (Maurice) Fryer; nine grandchildren, Christopher Jay Ketchum, Scott Dayton Ketchum, Kimberly Ann Nappi, Natalie Jean Thayer, Kevin Dale Thayer, John Edward Mooney, Erin Elizabeth Mooney, Katherine Ann Ketchum, and Joshua Charles Fryer; three great-grandchildren, Nina Denielle Nappi, Aaron Michael Cole, and Angela Mornay Cole.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lee Wolfe, Vincent Thayer, and Harry Siam; siblings, Wendell Otis Rose, Willis Cone Rose, Dorothy Cone Atkins, and Helen Beatrice Rapp; and her parents.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2003 at Alexander Presbyterian Church in Athens, with Pastor Edward Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery. Arrangements completed by Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home in Albany, Ohio.

Mary Lemponen
ASHTABULA - Mary Lemponen, 93, of West 58th Street, died Monday, May 13, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville Township.
She was born July 19, 1908, in Bethlehem, Pa., to Paul and Mary (Luntzendorfer) Engel. She spent most of her life in the Jefferson area before moving to Ashtabula in 1969. She married George H. Lemponen June 29, 1935, in Ripley, N.Y.
Mrs. Lemponen was active in 4-H when her children were growing up. She enjoyed bowling and played in a kitchen band when wintering in Bradenton, Fla.
Survivors include daughters Loretta M. Whiddon of Virginia Beach, Va. and Verna L. Howe of Ashtabula; grandchildren Deanna Newcomer, Ann West, David, Steven and Diana Leroux, Robin Boggs, Erick Larson and Robert II, Ward and Laurel Howe; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous grandchildren by marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1991, son Louis Dinya, daughter Thelma T. Leroux, grandson Robert C. Smith, great-granddaughter Alexandra Newcomer, half-brother John Ridler and half-sisters Katherine Nagy and Helen Pavalus.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at the Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, officiated by the Rev. Fred Grimm of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial is in Oakdale Cemetery.

Georgialee A. Butts
ASHTABULA - Georgialee A. (Krenisky) Butts, 34, of Beck Road, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
She was born Feb. 21, 1967 in Ashtabula, to George G. and Leebeth (Kirk) Krenisky, and was a lifelong area resident. After her mother died, her stepmother Kathleen (Kister) Krenisky helped raise her.
Mrs. Butts attended Edgewood High School and worked at Aspen Tree Service the past two years.
She most enjoyed spending time with her children.
Survivors include sons Adam and Alex Cook; daughter LeeAnn Cook; parents George and Kathleen Butts; sisters Billie Rae Kaiser of Saybrook Township and Tonya Krenisky of Waynesboro, Pa.; brothers Christopher Shawn Krenisky of Leroy Township and Darin Krenisky of Tacoma, Wash.; grandmothers Lois Krenisky, Lucille Murch and Thelma Kister, all of Ashtabula; and companion Larry Anderson of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her mother and grandfathers George Krenisky Sr., Robert Smegal and Lloyd Kister.
Funeral is 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, officiated by pastor the Rev. Kenneth Roberts. Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont Township. There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and Mrs. Butts' children c/o George and Kathleen Krenisky.

Tracy Lee Begin
ASHTABULA - Tracy Lee Begin, 22, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, in the Cleveland Clinic.
The daughter of Donald and Alice (Jennings) Felsted, she was born Oct. 10, 1978. in Ware, Mass.
Begin attended Happy Hearts School and was to graduate from AshCraft May 24. She enjoyed the Rugrats cartoon, Legos and playing with her family.
Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Jeanne M. and Victoria A. Felsted of Ashtabula; a brother, Jeffery A. Avis of Palmer, Mass.; paternal grandfather, Donald Felsted of Conneaut; and paternal grandmother, Anne Felsted of West Haven, Conn.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kevin Horrigan, officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Calling hour is 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Gilbert J. Moody
ASHTABULA - Gilbert J. Moody, 41, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, in Pueblo, Colo.
The son of Gilbert E. and Monica M. (Moody) Garvey, he was born Feb. 6, 1960 in Ashtabula.
Mr. Moody was a member of BPO Elks 90 and a former member of the Pueblo West Volunteer Fire Department.
He worked at Pueblo Distributing for the past 10 years.
He enjoyed playing softball, golf, fishing, snow sledding, basketball and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Chris; two daughters, Keira and Tricia of Pueblo; his mother; and three sisters, Monica Ann Tomchak, Thelma Miller and Marcene Grywalsky. all of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Praise Assembly of God, 2000 Troy Ave., Pueblo. A memorial service will be held in Ashtabula at a later date.
Calling hours are noon to 4 p.m. Monday at George McCarthy Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Pueblo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Marie T. Gentile
ASHTABULA - Marie T. Gentile, 86, of Sanborn Road, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at her home.
Born Aug. 22, 1916, in Beardford, Pa., she was a daughter of Michael and Harriet (Granat) Pociecha and had lived in the Ashtabula area most of her life.
Mrs. Gentile was employed at the former Smith Home, Ashtabula, and Ashtabula Area City Schools for many years, retiring in 1980.
She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Mission Church of Ashtabula and was active with the Women's Guild of the church for many years.
She enjoyed reading, American and world history, exercising, donating blood to the American Red Cross, and working at the election polls.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia L. Colucci of Ashtabula; two sons, Mark A. and Timothy M. Gentile, also of Ashtabula; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Estelle Bande of Ashtabula; and a brother, Michael C. Pociecha of Streetsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank L. Gentile, in 1986; a son, Francis L. Gentile; and a sister, Eva Sexinsky.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Mission Church, 4317 West Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Phillip Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township.
No calling hours will be observed. The family asks those planning to attend to meet them at the church to celebrate the funeral Mass.

Charles K. Ogle
ASHTABULA - Charles Kenneth Ogle, 82, of Ashtabula, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at the Park Haven Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 21, 1919, in Wallholding, the son of French and Anna (Fry) Ogle.
A graduate of Warsaw High School, he entered the Army Air Corps during World War II with the 1st Radio Squadron in Asia and the South Pacific.
He married the former Margene Mikesell on Aug. 3, 1946.
He worked as an electrician until retirement in 1981.
He was a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Ashtabula Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 943.
In his leisure time he enjoyed golf, sports, fishing, travel, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Elizabeth Crawford of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Oliver J. of Mt. Vernon, and Jerry D. of Frederickstown; two sisters, Betty J. Stull and Janet E. Ogle, both of Mansfield; four grandsons, Andrew, Geoffrey, Gregory and Scott Crawford; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John T.; and two sisters, Inza Kanuckle and Martha Gamertfelder.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. The Rev. Shane Nanny, of the East Side Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Warsaw Cemetery in Warsaw.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
