Ruby E. Morris
ASHTABULA - Ruby E. Morris, 69, of North Ridge Road East, Ashtabula, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, July 17, 2003, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, Ashtabula.
Mrs. Morris was born on October 7, 1933 in Andover, the daughter of Glenn and Esther (Baker) Bean and has been a life long resident of Ashtabula County.
Mrs. Morris was employed by Iten Fiber for five years, True Temper for 14 years, Ashtabula Rubber for eight years, and was currently employed as Hostess for Bob Evans Restaurant of Ashtabula for the past seven years.
Mrs. Morris was a great humanitarian, always being their for someone in need, enjoyed reading, bowling, gardening, especially flower gardening, decorating her home, cooking and eating and being with family and friends.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, Lloyd E. Morris Sr. of Ashtabula; daughter, Linda E. Judge of Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Lloyd E. (Doreen) Morris Jr. of Jefferson, and Kenneth R. (Sherri) Morris of Rome; one sister, Peggy Callahan of Conneaut; two brothers, Jack Bean of Conneaut, and Dave Bean of Thornsville; seven grandchildren, Lloyd E. (Janice) Morris III, Mike S. (Heidi) Morris, Keith R. Morris, Todd R. Morris, Kevin R. Morris, Kendra Morris, and Megan Judge; and four great grandchildren, Lloyd E. Morris IV, Brent A. Morris, Caitlyn M. Morris, and Shi-Anna M. Kinsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther W. Bean, and her fathers, Glenn, and Roy Bean; one sister, Rosemarie Bean; and two brothers, Forrest Bean in 1982, and Roy G. Bean in 1990.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 21, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the First Church of God, 1910 S.R.W., Ashtabula, OH. Rev. Virgil Brainard, Pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, OH.
Friends may call (today) Sunday, July 20, 2003 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Childs & Williams Family Funeral Home, 1440 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula County Libraries. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.

Benny M. Colicchio
ASHTABULA - Benny M. Colicchio, 85, a resident of Ashtabula, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at the home of his daughter.
Born on March 12, 1918 in Ashtabula, he was the son of Daniel and Julian (Ferberdino) Colicchio.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, a member of the V.F.W., and a member of St. Joseph Church, Ashtabula.
Mr. Colicchio was retired from Rockwell Brake, he enjoyed golfing, woodwork, playing cards, his family, and his special group of friends.
Survivors include his sons, Benny of Conneaut, and Daniel of Painesville; daughters, Rosemary Butler of CA, and Kathy Wright of Ashtabula; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Ted of Erie, Tom of Wickliffe, Robert of Geneva, and John of Ashtabula; a sister, Edith Nerone of CA; extended family, Helen Petrochello, children, and grandchildren; and third daughter, Judy Foglio Pasqualone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; a sister, Helen Church; infant twin brothers; and two great grandchildren in infancy.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 in St. Joseph Church, 3330 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens of North Kingsville.
Friends may call at the Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 West 19th Street in Ashtabula on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Stanley S. Shislowski
ASHTABULA - Stanley S. Shislowski, 86, of Ashtabula, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at the Park Haven Nursing Home in Ashtabula.
He was born January 21, 1917, in Ashtabula, the son of Walter and Mary Shislowski, and was a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
Stanley had worked as a foreman for 25 years at the New York Central Reclamation Plant. He also worked for 12 years as a truck driver for the Ashtabula Township Road Department, until retiring in 1982. Stanley served as a military policeman for the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. He attended Edgewood High School. Stanley enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Maple Ridge Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife, Toini (Maki), and a sister, Mary Hagerdon of Madison.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Walter Jr.; and a sister, Jenny.
It was Stanley's wish that there would be no services held. Potti Lakeside Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, is handling arrangements. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula.

Madaline Johnson
ASHTABULA - Madaline Johnson, 87, of Willow Arms Trailer Park in Ashtabula, died early Thursday morning, June 19, 2003, 6_20_Johnson_eps at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born December 24, 1915, in Sutton, WV, she is the daughter of Frank and Melvina (Roby) Kniceley.
She moved from WV in 1944 to PA and then on to this area in 1948, working for Reliance Electric from 1950 to 1980.
She was a member of the Auxiliary for the Moose Club #472, member of the Eagles Club #1463, Reliance Retirees Club, and the Reliance Bowling League. She enjoyed making ceramics and loved to travel.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Mullen, whom she resided with; two sons, Larry Johnson of Ashtabula, and Lyle Johnson of Largo, FL; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley Ball; three brothers, Guy, Beecher, and Lothrop Kniceley; four sisters, Iza Lunceford, Nettie Perrine, Ula Gibson, and Diew Hamric; and two grandsons, Billy Switzer and Ricky Johnson.
Services will be held Monday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, with Bill Daywalt officiating. Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Susie Ann Walden-Compton
ASHTABULA - Susie Ann Walden-Compton, 60, of Ashtabula, formerly of Cleveland, died Friday at Ashtabula County Medical Center. Wife of the late James and the late Kenneth Ray Osborne; mother of Bruce, Joey and Richard Osborne and Theresa Sasala; grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of two; sister of Cecil Varney. Funeral Service is 9 a.m. Tuesday, at Bodnar-Mahoney Funeral Home & Cremation Service 3929 Lorain Ave., Cleveland (216) 631-3075. Family will receive friends Monday 6 to 9 p.m. Internment Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.

Deborah A. Butler
ASHTABULA - Deborah A. Butler, 48, of West 48th Street, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
She was born Nov. 17, 1954, in Mount Sterling, the daughter of William O. and Maxine (Ludwick) Dailey. She had been an Ashtabula resident since 1989.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, football and NASCAR.
She married Dean Butler Feb. 14, 1996, in Jefferson.
Survivors include her husband, of Ashtabula; a son, Mark Marioth of Jefferson; two daughters, Christine Hutchinson and Catherine Higgins, both of Ashtabula; five grandchildren, Nathan, Dillon, Haylee, Zach and Amelia; several stepchildren; several stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Gay Henson of Ashville, and Linda Neidel of Zanesville; three brothers, William Ursel of St. Augustine, Fla., and Donald and John Dailey, both of Columbus; and her mother, also of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Marioth; her first husband, William Marioth; and her father.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. The Rev. Larry Wade of Park Street Christian Church will officiate.
Cremains will be buried in Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula Township, at a later date.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Catherine McCarty
ASHTABULA - Catherine McCarty, 96, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville.
She was born March 10, 1906, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Joseph and Anne (Taggart) Keenan.
She had been a homemaker. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Vincent of Ashtabula; a sister, Gertrude Clutter of Pittsburgh; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vincent; a son, Joseph; three sisters, Marie Wornet, Frances Leese and Leona Craig; and a brother, John Keenan.
A funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1464 W. Sixth St., Ashtabula.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
No calling hours will be observed.
Potti Lakeside Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, is handling the arrangements.
