Dr. Donald C. Moulder
ASHTABULA - Dr. Donald C. Moulder, 70, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born June 2, 1931, the son of William Cleveland and Helen (O'Neil) Moulder.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served during the Korean War.
He married Rosalind "Roz" Swerzey on Nov. 14, 1964.
Dr. Moulder had practiced dentistry since 1964.
He was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Ashtabula and was a past president of the Ashtabula Lions Club.
He enjoyed aviation and was a licensed pilot. He also enjoyed the Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State Buckeyes, golf and bridge.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dr. Krista Lynn Moulder of Glendale, Mo., USAF Maj. Caryl Jean Moulder of Gulf Port, Miss.; a son, Carl of Luzerne Pa.; and a sister, Genevieve Rodgers of Fairlawn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William C. .
Services is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Ashtabula Lions Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Harold S. Tobias
ASHTABULA - Harold Steve "Toby" Tobias, 70, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, in the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Ashtabula, the son of Steve and Mary (Helmeci) Tobias.
An area resident most of his life, he spent winters in St. Petersburg, Fla.
He graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1948 and worked as a scale mechanic for Union Carbide-Elkem Metals for 36 years until retirement.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 943, in which he was active in the military honor guard, a past officer of the American Legion, a past officer of the Lakeview Credit Union, a past president of the Ashtabula Coin Club, member of the Second Congregational Church in Ashtabula Harbor, and a member of the "Ashtabula Gangsters" in St. Petersburg.
Mr. Tobias enjoyed fishing, researching the history of the Great Lakes, and watching "Jeopardy, " hockey, boxing and the Cleveland Indians on TV. He liked to listen to old-time music, dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Luoma) of Ashtabula; sons, Tom of Conneaut and Steve of Harpersfield; daughter, Mary Snitcher of Ashtabula; sister, Gizella Lavick of Ashtabula; grandsons, Jason, Evan and Cody Tobias; and granddaughter, Cassandra Tobias.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Olga Tobias and Florence Clapp; and brother, Ed.
Service is noon Monday at the Potti Lakeside Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Glen Warner of Second Congregational Church, Ashtabula, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County.

Florence R. Nuniviller
ASHTABULA - Florence R. Nuniviller, 83, formerly of Middlefield, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at the Park Haven Nursing Home in Ashtabula.
She was born May 17, 1919, in Cleveland, the daughter of Louis and Beulah Snyder.
She enjoyed reading, taking walks and cleaning her house.
Surviving her is one son, Michael Nuniviller, of Middlefield; one daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Sisk, of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Lindy Mollick, Jerry Sisk and Marty Sisk; five great-grandchildren, Jordan Sisk, Julia Mollick, Anthony Mollick, Ryan Sisk and Aidin Sisk; three brothers, Carl of Painesville, George of Madison, and Bill of Mentor; and one sister, Beulah, of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenneth, in infancy; one grandson, Kevin Sisk; two brothers, Louis and Walter; and one sister, Ann.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at 7 p.m., at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Donald Mack, of the East Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating.
Calling hour will be Wednesday, from 6 p.m. until the time of service, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Alma Phillips
ASHTABULA - Alma Phillips, 81, of West Avenue, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born March 1, 1922, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Delbert and Salinda (Salo) Phillips, and had been a lifelong area resident.
Survivors include three nieces, Linda Phillips, Janus Banker and Kathleen Schmaltz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
A graveside memorial service will take place at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Jay Hodge, of the Harbor Lights Hospice, will officiate.
Arrangements will be handled by Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula.

Samuel A. Uvino
ASHTABULA - Samuel A. Uvino, a resident of Ashtabula, died Friday in Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born December 14, 1915 in Ashtabula, he was the son of Samuel and Laura (DeMarco) Uvino.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated World War II Veteran.
on February 10, 1945 in Assumption Church of Geneva he married the former Virginia Cottonaro.
He was a pipe fitter before retirement, a member of the Local 120 Pipe Fitters, past member of the Sons of Italy, a life member of the V.F.W., and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Survivors include his wife, a son Samuel H. of Woburn, Mass., and a grand daughter Samantha Uvino.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Rose, Louise, Violet and Helen Uovino.
Funeral services will be held 10AM Tuesday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm.

Victoria E. Evans
ASHTABULA - Victoria E. Evans, 83, of the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville, Ohio, died early Friday morning, June 20, 2003 at the UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital, Conneaut, OH.
Mrs. Evans was born October 1, 1919 in Blaine, Ohio the daughter of Kasimer & Victoria (Terevitch) Suckel and has been a resident of Ashtabula, Ohio for most of her life and wintered in Port Charlotte, FL for several years with her late husband Charles.
Mrs. Evans was a member of the First Grace Gospel Church of Ashtabula, Ohio.
Mrs. Evans was employed by Community Action of Ashtabula, Ohio for 12 years.
Survivors include one brother, William (Katherine) Suckel of Ashtabula, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles in 1989, 3 brothers, Frank, Joseph & Charles Suckel, 2 sisters, Helen Ellezy & Mary Dragon.
At Mrs. Evans request she will be cremated and laid to rest next to her late husband Charles, in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pt. Charlotte, FL.
Childs & Williams Family Funeral Home, 1440 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.

Luther Conley
ASHTABULA - Luther Conley, 79, of West 10th Street, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born June 21, 1923, in Lackey, Ky., the son of Everett and Darlene (Hicks) Conley, and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1955.
Prior to his retirement in 1972, he worked for Union Carbide. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. Mr. Conley was a gifted woodworker and enjoyed traveling.
His survivors include his wife, Daisie (Bradley), whom he married August 27, 1948; two children, Larry Conley and Brenda Elliott, both of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Melinda Chambers, Brian Elliott and Enola Herron; five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Caleb, Bethany, and Ethan Chambers, and Emily Herron; two sisters, Sarah Lou Campbell, of Mousie, Ky., and Rebecca Patton, of Estill, Ky.; and two brothers, Robert, of Lewisburg, and Paul, of Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Aaron, and Coet; and two sisters, Zelma Shepherd and Helen Miller.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2003, at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Pastor Evan Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be in the Ridgeview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
