Joseph R. Richey
ASHTABULA - Joseph R. Richey, 89, of Ashtabula, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at the Country Club Retirement Center.
Born July 12, 1912 in Ashtabula, he was the son of Pasquale and Felicia (Penna) Rich.
A graduate of Ashtabula High School, he was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and Knights of Columbus. Prior to his retirement, he was a conductor for Conrail.
He enjoyed gardening and his family.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Amelia (Muto); a son, Patsy; four brothers, John Rich of Sheffield, Jay Rich of Conneaut, Pasco and Henry Rich of Ashtabula; four sisters, Mary Santianna, Margaret Pritchett, Rose Burgard and Florence Laird, all of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Suzanne Viall, JoAnne Surbella and Joseph Richey; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Ernest, two brothers, Anthony and James; and a sister, Susie Ferrando.
Services is 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, East 21st Street, Ashtabula. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Saybrook Township
Calling hour is from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.

Phyllis E. Smith
ASHTABULA - Phyllis E. Smith, 88, of West Avenue, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Services will be at the family gravesite at 2 p.m. Saturday in Edgewood Cemetery, with the Rev. Virgil V. Reeve, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Theodora K. Barrett
ASHTABULA - Theodora K. Barrett, 91, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Trey Pyles
ASHTABULA - Trey Alexander Pyles died at birth Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was the son of Kristen "Poobie" Pyles of Ashtabula.
Survivors include his mother; his maternal grandparents Terri (Pyles) and Greg Towner of Ashtabula and Emmanuel Reed of Bloomfield, Minn.; and his maternal great-grandparents Rosetta and Joseph Pyles; and an uncle, Kurtis Crockett, who was with Trey when he was born and died.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Edgewood Cemetery in Ashtabula, with the Rev. Melvin Sing of Grace Christian Assembly Church officiating.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Lois L. Smith
ASHTABULA - Lois L. Smith, 86, of Ashtabula, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center Hospice Unit.
She was born June 5, 1914, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Walter W. and LuLu (Murch) Turner.
She graduated from Oil City High School and Indiana University, Pa., with a degree in music. She did graduate work at Youngstown State and Allegheny University in Meadville, Pa., and during summer school she took flute lessons from Gerrere at Chautauqua.
She worked for 25 years as an elementary school teacher, and was a member of the Ashtabula County Retired Teachers, UCT Crown Jewel 31, and was a UCT past president and secretary.
She enjoyed reading, latch-hooking, sewing and knitting.
Survivors include her son, Robert Smith of Ashtabula; two granddaughters, Kim Fleming and Kyle Cevera; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell, in 1957; and her daughter, Lou Ann Locke, in 1979.
A private service will be held at the family's convenience.

John A. Watt
ASHTABULA - John Alexander Watt Sr., 78, of Walnut Boulevard, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at his home. He was born Oct. 19, 1924 in Flint, Mich., the son of Alfred and Hilara (Cuthbertson) Watt and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1947.
A graduate of Michigan State University, he earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
He worked as a sales engineer for A. Louis Supply Co. and retired in 1989.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served during World War II with the 8th Air Force Division, stationed in England.
A member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Ashtabula Country Club and BPO Elks' Ashtabula Lodge 208, he was previously active in Ashtabula Rotary and raced his sailboat Kiltie from the Ashtabula Yacht Club, where the sailors affectionately dubbed him Captain FAHB.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Edgar), whom he married July 25, 1945; four children, Janice Stromberg of Houston, Mary B. Watt of Minneapolis, John Watt Jr. of Miami, and Thomas Watt of Willowick; eight grandchildren, Cady and Trevor Hall, Kent, Kate, Chris and Lindsey Stronberg, and Caroline and John Watt III; one great-granddaughter, and one sister, Mary Gettel of Pigeon, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial celebration will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the family home, 2412 Walnut Blvd., Ashtabula.

Jeremy A. Imrie
ASHTABULA - Jeremy A. Imrie, 24, of Woodman Avenue, Ashtabula, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Greenleaf Trucking in Ashtabula.
He was born Aug. 10, 1978, in Conneaut, the son Roger and Cheryl (Hammer) Imrie and has been a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Imrie was a 1996 graduate of Ashtabula High School and Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School, and also a graduate of Top Gun Truck Driving School in Louisville, Ky.
He married Mary Sinkko on July 11, 1998.
Mr. Imrie was employed by Greenleaf Trucking.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Ashtabula and the Eagles Club of Ashtabula.
Mr. Imrie bowled in a Thursday night mixed league at St. Angelo's Lanes. He was also a chaperone and coach with the Special Olympics.
Survivors include his parents, Roger and Cheryl of Ashtabula; his wife; three daughters, Kali M., Kassidie D. and Kairn A., all at home; a brother, Jody Imrie of Ashtabula; a sister, Ellen Rought of Ashtabula; and his paternal grandmother, Hazel Imrie of North Canton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 933 Michigan Ave., with the Rev. Richard Bowen officiating.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
