DURHAM, NC - Ruth Nagy, 89, of Emerald Pond, NC, died Thursday, October 2, 2003, at her10_23_nagy__obit__b_w_eps residence in North Carolina.
Born in Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Virgie Treadway Haynes. A former resident of Ashtabula, OH, and a resident of Durham, NC, since 1980, Ruth enjoyed sewing, cooking and crocheting.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Judy Wortman and her husband, Raymond, of Niles, OH, and Alice Toth and her husband, Paul, of Durham, NC; two brothers, Carlos Haynes and James K. Haynes, both of Oak Hill, WV; two grandchildren, Kimberly Toth of Durham, NC, and Paul Stephen Toth III of Greensboro, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Nagy Jr.
Emit Reynolds
ASHTABULA - Emit Reynolds, 79, of East 29th St. died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at his home.
Born July 17, 1924, in Floyd, KY, he was the son of Joseph and Vergie (Tackett).
He served in U.S. Army for three years, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1946.
He worked for Inland Container for twenty-six years, as a Supervisor; before retiring from Ash/Craft Industries in the Maintenance Department.
He enjoyed gardening, eating Breakfast with retirees of Inland Container once a month, traveling, his family, and his dog, Taco.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Gallagher), whom he married on January 29, 1983, in Geneva; son Bobby Leroy of Brewton, AL, Franklin D. of Harpersfield; daughters, Rosemary Halman of Pensacola, FL, Deborah Carraher of Harpersfield; son Michael Misener of Ashtabula; son Douglas Misener of Akron; fourteen grandchildren, Robert, Rebecca Neal, Heather Boyd, Stirling, Jason, Aaron, Michelle Nordin, Yvette White, Aimee Halman, John Halman, Natahan, Kimberly Kessler, Jacob Carraher, and Alicia Misener; twelve great-Grandchildren; brother Charles, Kenis, both of Cincinnati, brother Townzil of Savannah, GA; sister Edith of Cincinnati, sister, Anna Faye Pace, of Dayton.
He was preceded in death his 1st wife, Celia; brother, Columbus; and his parents.
A Service will be held Wednesday October 22, 2003, at 11:00 AM at Ducro Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Roberts Officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2003, from 5-7 PM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, OH.

Hannah A. Bloom
ASHTABULA - Hannah A. Bloom, 92, formerly of Latimer Ave., died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Carington Park.
Born May 7, 1911, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah (Olson) Bloom.
She was a lifelong resident of Ashtabula Twp.
She retired from Yoder Brothers' Greenhouse in Ashtabula after twenty years.
She attended Messiah Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and going to lunch with her friends.
Hannah is survived by two nieces, Janet Perna of Mayfield Hts, and Jane Houslin of Dunedin, FL.; three nephews, Carl Anderson of Ashtabula, Donald Anderson of Chagrin Falls, and John Bloom of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Betty Bloom, Dora Stewart, Emmy Rubright, Esther Smith, and Hildur Anderson; five brothers, Edgar, Ernest, Harold, Oscar, and Richard.
Service will be Tuesday, October 21, 2003, at 11:00 AM at Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, with Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, Pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling hour will be Tuesday, October 21, 2003, from 10:00 until time of service at Zaback-Ducro, 500 West Prospect, Ashtabula, Ohio.

ASHTABULA - George G. Foust, age 86, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007, in Chesapeake, Va.
Mr. Foust was a U.S. Army Veteran of W.W.II, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, as well as the American Legion and VFW.
He was a retired self-employed contractor, installing heating and air conditioning.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy (Bill) Johnston of Jefferson, Ohio, and Sherry (Ed) Jones of Chesapeake, Va.; a son, William (Diane) Foust of Ashtabula, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Shelly Damon, Tammy Pestello, Kathy Wilms, William “Dino” Johnston, Pamela Pete, Ed Jones III and Regina Rolon; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel will be handling the arrangements.
Geraldine Pal
ASHTABULA - Geraldine Pal, age 88, of East 29th St., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 7, 1919 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Myrth (Wilson) Aunger and has been a lifetime area resident.
A graduate of Ashtabula High School, she had been a head cashier at the A & P Grocery Store and the Stop N’ Shop on Main Ave., Ashtabula.
She is a member of the Second Congregational Church of Ashtabula.
She enjoyed bowling, sewing, traveling, and baking for friends and family. She also enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers.
Surviving her is her son, Richard Welton of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Michael, Michelle and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ireta Weidig of Mentor, Monneta Flack of Plymouth Township and Minnie Alice Abbey of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Richard Welton; her second husband, Joseph P. Pal; and by two brothers, Chester and George Aunger.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the Second Congregational Church, 319 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with James Onion officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling Hour will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
