Paul A. Johnson
ANDOVER - Paul A. Johnson, 90, of Leon Road in Andover, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Greenville Hospital in Greenville, Pa.
He was born March 2, 1911, in Andover, the son of Arthur and Jessie (Thurber) Johnson.
A truck driver, he delivered steel for 15 years, retiring in 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna McKinzie of Andover; and two nieces and one nephew, all of Andover.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Arlene; an infant son, Norvin; and a brother, Milo Johnson.
Private graveside services will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva at the family's wishes.
The Donald E. Walker Funeral Home of Geneva is in charge of arrangements.
Gretta A. Williams
ANDOVER - Gretta A. Williams, 59, of St. Rt. 85, Andover, died Thursday, June 12, 2003.
Born April 25, 1944 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Russell A. Gross and the late Margaret (Coakley) Gross.
Formerly of Cleveland, Mrs. Williams had been an Andover resident since 1965. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Stevens High School, formerly of Cleveland. She married Russell R. Williams Jr. on September 7, 1963. Together they owned and operated Gateway (Gretta's) Bait and Tackle for 30 years. They also owned and operated Blue Haven Cottages in Espyville, PA.
Gretta loved fishing, hunting, and reading. She was a sponsor of the children's fishing tournament and PV's Wrestling Team. Mrs. Williams was active in the Crappie and Walleye Tournaments, and Board member of the Pymatuning Lake Association. She was co-owner of the Half Moon Outfitters and was an agent for the Ohio Hunting and Fishing License Agency. Mrs. Williams was instrumental in getting the Ohio Causeway pull-off built and participated in the 1976 Anti-trapping Legislation.
Survivors include her husband, Russell R. Williams, Jr. of Andover; two sisters, Pat R. (Ron) Gedeon of Parma and Rita G. (Al) Thompson of Rocklin, CA; and a brother, Tim R. (Betty) Gross of Bay Village.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 481 South Main St., Andover, OH 44003, with Father David M. Misbrener officiating. Cremation will follow.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, June 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.

Gabriel A. Kovach
ANDOVER - Gabriel A. Kovach Sr., 74, of Route 7, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Hubbard, the son of John and Mary (Stavisisak) Kovach and moved to Andover from Hubbard 30 years ago.
He worked as a burner at Wean Inc., Youngstown, for 19 years, before his retirement. Earlier, he was a plasterer.
After retirement, he owned and operated South 7 Auto Body, Andover, for 10 years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Andover.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Gabriel A. Jr. of Vista, Calif.; a daughter, Karen White of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Steve of Poland, and Pete of Boardman; three sisters, Mary Mullin and Ann Fillmon of Hubbard, and Julia Kroner of Youngstown; and three grandchildren.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Route 7, Andover, with the Rev. Larry Frient officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.

Donald L. Sheets
ANDOVER - Former Village Councilman Donald L. Sheets, 82, of Gates Street, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at St. Paul Homes Health Center, Greenville, Pa
Born June 29, 1919, in Van Wert, he was a long-time resident of Andover.
A long-distance truck driver for many years, he also was employed by the former Newcomb Lumber Co., Andover.
A 1937 graduate of Wren High School, Van Wert County, Mr. Sheets was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater. He served with the 602nd Squadron and the 609 Atomic Bomb Group.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Andover, and Percy Hyatt Post 226, American Legion.
He served on Village Council for several years and was a member of the Andover Union Cemetery Board.
A licensed pilot since 1946, he enjoyed flying and taking friends for flights. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Survivors include four sons, James of Kinsman, Bruce of Brooklyn, N.Y., Raymond of Ravenna and Richard of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June B. (Smith), in 1995; a son, Donald, in 1998; and three brothers, Harold, Milo and Edward.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, with the Rev. Jeffrey W. Stoll officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Stanley J. Resetic
ANDOVER Stanley J. Resetic, 76, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital, Conneaut.
He was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Cleveland, the son of Louis and Mary (Rolich) Resetic.
He married M. Alice (Baker) on Sept. 19, 1944.
Formerly of Cleveland, Mr. Resetic had lived in Andover for the past 11 years. He was a railroad conductor for the former New York Central Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1985.
Mr. Resetic was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4035, Andover; AmVets National; the Euclid Masonic Lodge and the Richmond Heights Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed fishing and golf.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Jo Holmes of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Susan E. Bencina of Euclid; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Louis.
Service is 6 p.m. Monday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.

Nathaniel J. Mosley
ANDOVER - Nathaniel J. Mosley, one month old son of Kevin J. and Amanda J. (Werner) Mosley of Wayne Twp., died Thursday, June 12, 2003 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover. Nathaniel was born on April 24, 2003.
Survivors include his parents; sister, Victoria R. Mosley of Wayne Twp.; maternal grandparents, Ron and Jackie Barber of Vernon Twp.; and paternal grandparents, Denny and Becky Mosley of Farmdale.
Funeral services will be held at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover on Monday, June 16 at 4 p.m.
Calling hours will be at 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Twp., OH.
Lila M. Wahl
ANDOVER - Lila Mae Wahl, 92, formerly of Kinsman, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, in Miller Memorial Health Center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1909, in Kinsman, to George and Hattie (Clark) Gilmore.
Mrs. Wahl formerly worked as a cook at Isaly's, Turkey Heaven and Times Square restaurants in Kinsman. She also did domestic work in the Kinsman area.
She attended the Kinsman United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included gardening, canning, sewing and attending auctions.
Survivors include daughters Donna Osborn of Hartford, Virginia Keesler of Ashtabula, Dianna Siewert of Bad Axe, Mich. and Georgia Hunter of Kinsman; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter Rose Wahl, son William Wahl and two brothers.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel at Westview Cemetery on Route 7 in Vernon.
Arrangements are being handled by Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, Hartford.
