Robert D. Runyan Sr.
ANDOVER - Robert D. Runyan Sr., 79, of Cleveland Avenue, Andover, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at the Miller Memorial Health Care Center.
He was born July 16, 1922, in Andover, the son of George and Ethel (Stillman) Runyan, and was a lifelong area resident.
He owned and operated the Standard Oil Distribution Co., retiring in 1978. He later owned and operated the Midway Inn for many years with his wife.
He served with the Army during World War II, seeing action in northern France, the Rhineland and central Europe.
He married the former Lois J. Fitzpatrick in February 1962.
He was a member of the Andover First United Methodist Church; was a member and past commander of the Percy D. Hyatt Post 225 American Legion in Andover; a member of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio; a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland 32nd Degree; a 50-year member of the Triandrea, formerly Andover lodge, Free and Accepted Masons; and a 50-year member of the Covered Bridge No. 591 Order of Eastern Star.
He enjoyed his dog, Spike, as well as boating and golfing. He excelled in baseball in his younger years.
Survivors include four daughters, Diane Waters of Traverse, Fla., Mary Lou Augustine of Daytona, Fla., Rebecca Semanco of Ashtabula, and Roberta Lawrence of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Robert "Butch" Runyan of Andover; a step-daughter, Holly Babcock of Hollywood, Fla.; and two step-sons, Glenn Millinski of Crownsville, Md., and Marty Millinski of Jefferson; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, on Oct. 25, 1998; a grandson, Randall Waters; and a brother, Gerald Runyan.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover. The Rev. Jeffrey W. Stoll will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service..
A Masonic service will be held at 10:40 a.m. Saturday.

Edith E. Boudreau
ANDOVER - Edith E. Boudreau, 75, of South Main Street, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at the Andover Village Retirement Community.
Born Oct. 11, 1926, in Waterville, Maine, she was a daughter of George W. and Deborah (Neal) Townsend. Formerly of Meadville, Pa., she had lived in Andover for the past two years.
A homemaker, she loved her pets and growing plants.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha E. Gilbert of Jay, N.Y., and Deborah A. Niwa of Meadville; four sons, Carroll M. Boudreau of Whitaker, N.C., Wayne G. of Oakland, Maine, C. Neal Boudreau of Dunedin, Fla.; and G. Robert of Kinsman; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James M.; and an infant daughter.
Lester E. McCombs
ANDOVER - Lester E. McCombs, 80, of Gates Street, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Aug. 14, 1922 in Richmond Township, the son of William H. and Vera M. (Duncan) McCombs
Mr. McCombs was a lifelong Andover resident and was a 1940 graduate of Andover High School.
He was a self employed plumbing and heating contractor in the area for more than 60 years.
Mr. McCombs attended the Andover First United Methodist Church where he was active in the choir.
He was a lifetime member of Percy D. Hyatt Post #226 American Legion in Andover and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9519, Andover.
Mr. McCombs was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre.
He formerly served as mayor of Andover in the 1950's, as well as serving on the Andover Village Council and the village planning commission in earlier years.
Mr. McCombs loved his community and was an active participant in its civic life.
He enjoyed reading, history and coin collecting.
Mr. McCombs married Dorothy M. Franks Dec. 21, 1990.
Survivors include his wife; son, David L. McCombs of Andover; a daughter, Mary Beth McCombs of Youngstown; two sisters, Shirley Cole of Chagrin Falls, and Mary Griffith of Canona, Calif.; grandchildren, Matthew L. McCombs of Andover and Christopher B. McCombs of Cleveland; three stepdaughters, Dawn Hill, Deanna DiBell, and Debra Carr, all of Andover; a stepson, Donald Tuckish of Parkland, Fla. and Dennis Tuckish of Coral Springs, Fla.; a step-granddaughter, Jennifer DiBell; stepgrandsons, Jerry DiBell, Dennis Tuckish, Danny Tuckish and Brian Hill.
He was preceded death by a son, Gary Morrow McCombs; three brothers, Sherman, Duncan, and Kenneth McCombs; two sisters, Lucille Spencer and Ellen Hudson; and a stepgrandson, Alvin Hill.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, at the First Congregational Church of Andover, with the Revs. Jeffrey W. Stoll and Scott Ressman officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Andover.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Choir or the First Congregational Church Choir.
Jennifer A. Mizner
ANDOVER - Jennifer Ann (Esparza) Mizner, 45, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at UPMC Horizon Hospital of Greenville, Pa.
She was born Oct. 25, 1957 in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Ernest Esparza and Rose (Hamilton) Cole.
Formerly of Kinsman, Mrs. Mizner has lived in Andover since 1983. She was a graduate of Badger High School in Kinsman and of ETI Technical Institute in Youngstown.
She was employed as the Andover Township clerk for nine years and she also worked as a legal assistant for McCombs and Kotila law firm in Andover for 12 years.
She was a member of the Andover Church of Christ, the Community Care committee in Andover; and she was active in many school and church activities.
Mrs. Mizner enjoyed painting, golfing, cooking, walking, reading, gardening and enjoyed nature and liked decorating with Southwestern art decor.
She was well known for her generosity, sense of humor and concern for others even during her two year battle with cancer.
She married Gary W. Mizner Oct. 18, 1978.
Survivors include her husband, Gary of Andover; three daughters, Daphne Ruppe of Gaffney, S.C., Rochelle Mizner and Nina Mizner, both of Andover; her mother, Rose Cole of Houston, Texas; her father, Ernest Esparza of Huntington Park, Calif., maternal grandfather, Marion Hamilton of Kirksville, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Eva Esparza of Fresno, Calif., stepfather, Larry Cole of Kinsman; sisters, Teresa Finney of Austin, Texas, Carmen Randieman of Ada, Okla., Rita Reeher of Greenville, Pa., Eva Roshong of Louisville, and Larraine Cole Richardson of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sally Hamilton and paternal grandfather, Emilio Gonzales Esparza.
A celebration of Mrs. Mizner's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, with the Rev. Robert Gears officiating.
Cremation will follow the services.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lena Eovino
HONOLULU - Lena Eovino, 80, a former Ashtabula resident, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002.
Mrs. Eovino was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Youngstown.
She married Samuel A. Eovino in 1955 and moved to Ashtabula, where she worked in the shoe department at Carlisle's for 20 years.
She and her husband moved to Honolulu in 1978.
Survivors include her husband, of Hawaii; a son, Frank Janiro Jr. of New York; a daughter, Donna J. Atkinson of Washington; two stepchildren, Donald and Marcia Eovino of Hawaii; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Albena Buchenic of Youngstown.
A service was held in Honolulu.
Arrangements were handled by Ordenstein's Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Harold Fox
ANDOVER - Harold Fox, 80, of South Main Street, Andover died Monday, March 18, 2002 at Miller Memorial Health Care Center in Andover.
He was born Jan. 26, 1922, in Fairmont W. Va., the son of Richard and Ella (Crawford) Fox.
Mr. Fox was formerly of Columbus and had lived in Andover for the past several years.
He worked as a laborer for the City of Columbus for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara and Beverly Fox, both of Cleveland and Treva Hills-Redman of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three sons, Frank Fox of Cleveland, Gregory Washington and Thomas Kevin Hills, both of New York, N.Y.; a brother, William Fox of Bolingbrook, Ill.; a sister, Florence Hampton of Atlanta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann in 1981; and three brothers and a sister.
Mr. Fox was cremated and there will be no services or calling hours observed.
Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover handled the arrangements.
