Larry A. Suplinski
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP - Larry A. “Skeeter” Suplinski, 64, of Highland Avenue, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born on Feb. 11, 1938 in Ashtabula, the son of Clarence and Helen (Getzy) Suplinski and had been a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Suplinski was a painter for Local Union 765 for 30 years.
He was a member of Ashtabula Eagles Chapter 1463 and Army and Navy Union Garrison 411. He attended Pentecostal Church of God.
Mr. Suplinski enjoyed talking on his CB and was know as “Sky Crow.” He also enjoyed baseball, football, golf, bowling, garage sales and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Alleen (Hall) whom he married on July 13, 1994; his children, Larry Jr. Suplinski of Shakopee, Minn., Valerie Eaton of Shakopee, Minn., Jennifer Hines, Jamie Woissol and Christina Mason, all of Ashtabula, Michael Elliott of Austinburg and Jeffrey Elliott of Northfield; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Suplinski; and his parents.
Services will be 11 a.m., Monday at Ducro Funeral Service and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts of Pentecostal Church of God officiating.
Burial will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Mary K. Conley
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP - Mary Katherine Conley, 88, of Lake Road West, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, in Ashtabula.
She was born April 1, 1913, in Montgomery, Ga., the daughter of John D. and Lillian (McCullough) Taylor and had been an Ashtabula area resident for more than 30 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, cooking and flowers.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond of Ashtabula and William of Attworth, Ga.; three daughters, Christine Crawford of Willoughby, Shirley Milam of Geneva, and Mary Lou "Dodie" DiMare of Ashtabula; five grandchildren, Kelley, Raymond Jr., Michael, Kathleen and Holly; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond, in 1996; four brothers, James, Wiley, Jack and Paul; and eight sisters, Addy, Gertrude, Mamie, Zelma, Nancy, Rose, Lillian and Jennie.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God, Ashtabula, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Edward R. Yoskovich
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP - Edward R. Yoskovich died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Sharlene (Beal); a son, Barry ; a daughter, Tanya Dorman; a brother, William; two sisters, Veronica Rodavich and Dorothy Ann Fera; and five grandchildren, Kellie and Alex Yoskovich and Aidan, Andrew and Ian Dorman.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph; and three sisters, Margaret, Martha and Pauline.
Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Medina, at a time to be announced. Burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Mildred Nejbauer
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP - Mildred Nejbauer, 78, of Depot Road, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 24, 1924, in Richmond, the daughter of G. Arther and Martha (Cartner) Paine, and had been an Ashtabula County resident most of her life.
She was a member of the former Harbor Baptist Church and Bible Baptist Church in Ashtabula, where she was active teaching Sunday school for many years. She also assisted at the Christian school and did community service at Lake Shore Park.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married Dec. 24, 1940, in Jefferson; two daughters, Janice Benedict and Kathy Harrington, both of Ashtabula; five grandchildren, Debbie DiPolito, Brian Benedict, Kevin Benedict, Bradley Harrington and Amy Richmond; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Damon Paine of Geneva and a half brother of Maumee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell Knight and Kenneth Phillips; and two sisters, Laura McKay and Julia Schmidt.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Childs and Williams Family Funeral Home, 1440 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. The Rev. Ed Kovalchuk, pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Oxford, Mich., will officiate. Burial will be at Saybrook Cemetery in Saybrook Township.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

James E. Prickett

SAYBROOK – Jim “Grandpa Jimmy” Prickett, age 80 ½, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Jim was born November 30, 1930 in Anderson, Indiana and moved to Saybrook at the age of 3 where he resided for the rest of his life except for 3 years in the Navy. He married the love of his life, Janice (Kaiser) on June 10, 1950. They raised two children together and enjoyed a love and friendship that endured for 57 ½ years until Janice's death in December of 2007.
Jim retired from the Post Office and especially loved his last years at the Post Office as a rural route carrier. Jim had many interests and hobbies throughout his life including bowling, church softball, coaching Little League, building and remodeling houses, stained glass, and serving God in so many ways at Saybrook United Methodist Church.
Above all, Jim was a man of faith that loved his Lord.
Jim leaves behind his children, Carolyn (Michael) Kierstead of Sandusky and Michael (Joanne) Prickett of Ashtabula, one granddaughter Carly (Matt) Rogers of Sandusky, and a constant joy, his great-granddaughter Annaliese Rogers. He is also survived by a sister, Juanita (Harry) Hammond, a brother David (Barbara) Kiphart, and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and his Saybrook UMC church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry, and his wife Janice.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 2 from 9-10 a.m. at Saybrook United Methodist Church, 7900 S. Depot Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004 followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Donna van Trees and Rev. Jeff Stoll. A graveside service will immediately follow the service at Saybrook Cemetery.

Dorothy B. Upole
SAYBROOK TWP. - Dorothy B. Upole, age 70, of Lake Road West, Saybrook Township, Ohio, died very early Sunday morning, Sept. 16, 2007, at her home.
She was born May 21, 1937 in Sheffield Township, the daughter of Vaino Matt and Helen M. (Sarbiewski) Hietanen and has been a lifetime area resident.
A 1955 graduate of Ashtabula High School, she had been employed for fifteen years as a buyer with the RMI Sodium Plant.
She was a member of the Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church and enjoyed a wide range of interests throughout her life. These included cooking, baking, and cake decorating – especially for others and during holiday celebrations and gatherings.
Surviving her is her loving husband, Daryl G. Upole, Jr., whom she married July 19, 1958; their son, Daryl G. (Debra) Upole III of Saybrook Township; their daughter, Vanessa K. (Kurt W.) Jensen of Shaker Heights, Ohio; four grandchildren, Rachel K. and Lauren M. Jensen, and Paige and Max Upole; and her brother, Richard Hietanen in Pinckneyville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her granddaughter, Kathleen Upole.
A Graveside Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Edgewood Cemetery, State Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Roger Zale officiating.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
