Kathleen L. Frigic
CONNEAUT - Kathleen L. Frigic, 78, of Carl Street, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at her home.
She was born June 24, 1924, in Conneaut, a daughter of Glenn W. and Ezma (Hunter) Warren.
A lifelong Conneaut resident, Mrs. Frigic was a 1942 graduate of Conneaut High School. She was employed at the former Astatic Corp. and was a server at various Conneaut restaurants.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and enjoyed her grandchildren, bowling and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Louis, whom she married Dec. 11, 1948; a son, James of Skandia, Mich., six grandchildren, Kim Daub, Milissa Higley, Michelle Brennan, and Tom, Shawna and Steven Daub; eight great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Wallace Warren of Fruitland Park, Fla., and Robert, Philip and Albert Warren, all of Conneaut.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janice Howland; and a brother, James Warren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Ashtabula County. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
I. Dorothy Jackson
CONNEAUT - I. Dorothy Jackson, 90, of Lake Road, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born June 12, 1911, in Barker, N.Y., a daughter of Dwight and Edith (Pallister) Ellis.
A 1929 Conneaut High School graduate, she attended Peniel Bible College, Dayton, and was the first female ordained minister in the Ohio Assembly of God. Prior to her marriage, she pioneered churches in Harrison, and pastored for three years in Salineville. She was a member of the Conneaut First Assembly of God, and enjoyed sewing, reading, yard work and caring for others.
Survivors include her brother, Burton Ellis of North Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry, in 1997; a sister, Maude Ellis; and two brothers, Harold and Edward Ellis.
Service is 2 p.m. Monday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Jack Woods, pastor of Conneaut First Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Missions Department of Conneaut First Assembly of God. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Ann A. Heagerty
CONNEAUT - Ann A. Heagerty, 83, formerly of Main Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Park Haven Nursing Home, Ashtabula.
She was born July 23, 1918, in Cleveland, the daughter of Ignatius and Mary (Turenski) Rubleski and had lived in Conneaut for most of her life.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church and a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Guild of St. Mary's Church. She also was a member of the Polish Ladies, a former Girl Scout Troop Leader, and a Brown Memorial Hospital volunteer.
Mrs. Heagerty enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and cooking.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Jordan of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Thomas E., of Conneaut; five grandchildren, Timothy and Michael Jordan, Cynthia Heagerty, Julie Rice, and Debra Andrzejczyk; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Mucci of Conneaut.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph E.; a sister, Irene Dripan; and two brothers, Michael Rubleski in infancy, and Edward Rubleski.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, 480 State St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas and the Rev. John Summers officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Ladies Guild or to the Conneaut Station 3 Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Catholic Daughters of America will conduct services 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Agnes M. Miller
CONNEAUT - Agnes M. Miller, 92, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Inn-Conneaut Health Center, Conneaut.
She was born April 24, 1909, in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret S. (Reid) Bootland. She came to the United States in 1928, and was a longtime Conneaut resident, coming from Cleveland.
She was a graduate of the Galo Flats School, Rittberger, Scotland.
She married Frank Miller on July 17, 1931.
Mrs. Miller retired from the American Greetings Co., Cleveland, in 1987 after 20 years of service.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling with her husband, and listening to music.
Survivors include a niece, Marlin B. Orated of Andover; and three nephews, Richard T. Miller of Andover, Christopher T. Miller of Conneaut, and Adam C. Miller of West Springfield, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, on April 29, 1993; two sisters, Margaret Gowan-Gaugh and Elizabeth Langdon; and a brother, William Bootland.
Service is 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.
Calling hours are from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Jeanne C. Kessler
CONNEAUT - Jeanne C. Kessler, 77, of Wrights Avenue, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 31, 1923, in Conneaut, the daughter of Phil and Dorothy (Henesey) Sanford, and lived in Conneaut her entire life.
She worked as a cashier at Bartone's Truck Stop, and later spent 10 years as a dispatcher at Conneaut Police Department.
She was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy in Erie, and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Conneaut and the Irish Colleens.
Survivors include two brothers: John Sanford and Charles "Ed" Sanford, both of Conneaut; and a granddaughter, Kathrine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; a son, Kevin; and a sister, Dorothy Carlson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church along State Street in Conneaut. The Rev. Raymond Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Conneaut's Fire Station 3 rescue squad. Envelopes will be available at Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., which is in charge of arrangements.
Cora Mae Birckbichler
CONNEAUT - Cora Mae Birckbichler, 67, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born June 14, 1933, in Butler, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (Powell) Blakeley.
She attended Butler High School and came to the Conneaut area in 1951.
She enjoyed reading and playing piano, and loved music. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Birckbichler was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin, whom she married May 26, 1950, in Butler, Pa.; a son, Melvin John Jr. of New Jersey; two daughters: Kitty Husted of Ocean City, Md., and Mary Byrd of Conneaut; a sister, Blanche Marscellus of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
Callings hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
