Florence M. Weeks
CONNEAUT - Florence Marie “Gram” Weeks, 90, of Villa-at-the-Lake, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at U.H. Conneaut Hospital with her family at her side.
Born August 1, 1921 in Amherst, Ohio, the daughter of Conrad and Mary (Holzhauer) Baetz and had been a long time area resident. After graduating from Brownhelm School, she completed her secondary education at Oberlin Business College of which she was a proud alumnus.
In January of 1942 she was united in marriage with her husband Richard Weeks and together the celebrated forty-four years of marriage prior to his death in 1986.
Gram was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to all; she was a talented seamstress and quilter and enjoyed family parties, music, gardening, traveling, and bingo. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in their Little League games.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Kathryn)Weeks of Warren, Indiana; daughter, Donna (Jim) Hawke of Conneaut, son, David weeks of Ashtabula and her “acquired” daughter, Nancy (Mike) Niemi of Jefferson; grandchildren, Darin(Cherie) Harper of Conneaut, Danielle (Frank) Dufour, Tracey (Danny) Cline, Jason (Kim) Weeks both all of North Kingsville, Kristie (Roman) Vencill of Kingsville, Jerry Weeks of Ashtabula, Amber (Mark Gary) Niemi of Jefferson; great grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Trent, Jimmy, Katie, Dalton, Brady, Libby, Emily, Cloie, Ryelie, Ian, Michael, Jeremy, Jesse, and Cassie; great-great granddaughter, Sicily; brother, Donald (Mary) Baetz of Brownhelm and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Her last words to her family were;” I have something to say. I love you all and always will, don’t let our family fall to pieces- stay together always.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Weeks, brother, Harold Baetz; sisters, Esther Manuel and Dorothy Northeim; and her parents.
It was Florence’s’ wish that no services or calling hours be held. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.

H. WALTER KIMMY
CONNEAUT - H. Walter Kimmy, 74, of State Street, Conneaut, died Friday morning, May 30, 2003, at Inn-Conneaut Health Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
Bruce W. Gramley
KINGSVILLE – Bruce Warren Gramley, 55, of South Ridge East soared to the heavens on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
He was born March 8, 1954 in Ashtabula, the son of William B. and Dorothy (Lehtinen) Gramley. A 1972 graduate of Edgewood High School, he briefly attended Kent State University, Ashtabula Campus and later the Ohio School of Broadcasting.
A conductor/brakeman for the Norfolk-Southern Railroad, he previously worked for Elkem Metals, Pinney Dock, and the Sheldon-Morris Company.
Bruce was very active in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, having served as an acolyte, usher, lector, chalice bearer, and Junior Warden. He also volunteered for Thanksgiving dinners and the Grotto Breakfast Crew at the church and was a member and past president of the Lion’s Club, Rising Sun Lodge #22, Free and Accepted Masons, and the El Kadir Grotto where he served as Past Monarch in 1997. He was also a member of Teamsters Union Local #377 and the UTU, Local 421.
He loved cooking, Saturday (Grotto group ) card games, and was a frequent caller to the Conneaut AM Live TV Show to express his opinions, earning him the nickname “Kingsville Bruce.” He was also known by other nicknames such as Goose, Grim, Grumpy, BW, Cousin Brucie, the Mayor of Lake Shore Park, and the Mayor of Greenlawn. He also gave his sister her nickname, “Hopsie”.
Bruce will always be remembered for dropping off treats to his many friends and acquaintances and he loved to hang with Tom and the gang at Village Food Mart.
His survivors include his companion of 22 years and soul mate, Leanne Ensell Coates and her sons, Scott and Mark Ensell, both of Houston, TX; Leanne’s mother, Bernice Altonen; two sisters, Julie Gramley of Ashtabula and Kathy “Hopsie” (Howard) Lines of Kingsville; two brothers, Scott (Gayle) Gramley of Willoughby and Wade (Roxanna) Gramley of Raleigh, NC; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; his special friend, Sylvia Ensell; and his “son”, Benny Jett (his black lab).
He was preceded in death by his brother, W. Todd Gramley; his step-father, J. Russell Morris; and his parents.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula and from 10-11 AM Monday at the Guild Room of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
A service will be held 11 A.M. Monday, July 27, 2009 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4901 Main Avenue, Ashtabula. Canon David Evans will preside.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League, Hospice of the Western Reserve, or St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
The family would like to thank the amazing staffs of Hospice of the Western Reserve, the Ashtabula Co. Nursing Home, University Hospitals of Cleveland, Dr. Ashok Kondru, and Dr. Edward Carrillo, and all their loving friends and family who have supported them so much during this difficult time of Bruce’s illness.

KINGSVILLE - Arthur Dewey Marshand, 78, of North Wright Street died Saturday, May 1, 2004 at his home.
A service will be held Tuesday May 4, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. The Rev. Kenneth Roberts, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery where Geneva VFW Post 6846 will conduct military honors.

Don “Breeze” Wallace Breedlove
NORTH KINGSVILLE – Don “Breeze” Wallace Breedlove, 70, of West Center St., North Kingsville, died Monday morning, December 6, 2004 at his home.
Born in Breedlove, West Virginia of Preston County on April 6, 1934, he was the son of the late Glen and Bessie (Douglas) Breedlove. The family moved to Cresaptown, MD the next year, where Don was a member of the Cresaptown Methodist Church.
He graduated in 1952 from Allegany High School in Cumberland, MD. He moved to Ashtabula shortly thereafter, where he was employed by Reliance Electric in 1955. Don was drafted into the U.S. Army in November of 1956 and served on active duty in the infantry in Korea and Fort Benning, GA. After being honorably discharged as a Specialist in November, 1958, Mr. Breedlove served in U. S. Army Reserves until October 1962. Don returned to work at Reliance Electric and retired in 1996 after 41 years.
Don and Judith Carol (Olin) were married on November 7, 1964 in North Kingsville and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a party with family and friends.
In his younger years, Don enjoyed playing sports: including softball, basketball and bowling. Later on, Don loved golfing, fishing and playing cards with his family and friends, especially in Canaan Valley, WVA. He also coached for several years his sons’ Little League baseball teams, and was a member of the East Ashtabula Club.
He is survived by his wife, Judith, three sons; Donald Wesley (Arlene) of Leesburg, VA, Gregory Wayne (Julie) of Shaker Heights, and Kevin Wade (Shelly) of Cordova, TN; one granddaughter, Caitlin of Shaker Heights; two sisters, Mrs. Ethelda Campbell of Ashtabula, and Mrs. Yvonne Fowler of Nashville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Douglas, Glendean, Loren, Curtis, Gerald and Emerson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday Dec. at 11 a.m. at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with Rev. David Hines, Pastor of Kingsville Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty J. Brunell
KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP - Betty J. Brunell, 78, of Wright Street, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
She was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Albion, Pa., a daughter of George and Gertrude (Sherman) Shauberger.
She was a graduate of Kingsville High School.
Mrs. Brunell was a member of Kingsville Presbyterian Church and was involved with Happy Hearts School and Ash/Craft Industries.
She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy and Daniel of Kingsville; a daughter, Judy Cusano of Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Shauberger of North Kingsville; and a sister, Dorothy Lawrence of Kingsville Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilho L., in 1992; a son, Roger, in 1991; a brother, Leroy Shauberger and a sister, Margaret Brunell.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Bonnie Habbersett of Kingsville Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Earl A. Ketcham
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Earl A. Ketcham, 84, of Lake Road in North Kingsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 15, 1916, in Wayne Township, the son of Austin Earl and Jennie (Knowles) Ketcham. He was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Ketcham retired from East Ohio Gas in 1974, where he worked as a field service representative.
He was an avid bowler, bowling in senior leagues in North Kingsville and Conneaut, and enjoyed fishing.
He served as president of the Senior Citizens of Conneaut and attended the Amboy United Methodist Church.
Mr. Ketcham served in World War II as a member of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Fowler, Ohio; daughters Jane Dingman of Logansport, Ind., and Jedith Haughn of Muncie, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Margaret, whom he married Sept. 21, 1940, in January 2000; brother David; and one grandchild, Timothy Swank.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Burton Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula. The Rev. Gina Kim of Amboy United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
