Donald E. McAllister
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Donald E. McAllister, 68, of North Kingsville, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Ashtabula County Medical Center, Ashtabula.
He was born Jan. 11, 1933, in Alexandria Bay, N.Y., the son of Edgar W. and Lula A. (Hutchinson) McAllister.
Mr. McAllister served in the U.S. Navy in Japan and San Francisco during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a diesel mechanic for 20 years, and retired as a dispatcher for Saybrook Township Fire Department. He was a charter member and served as an emergency medical technician for the North Kingsville Rescue Squad, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Ashtabula. He enjoyed crafts, woodworking and especially his two cats, Cheyenne and Samantha.
Survivors include his companion of 10 years, Carol Helberg; two daughters, Debbie A. Tatakis of Saybrook, and Sheri R. Jacobs of Ashtabula; step-daughter Cindy Hatfield of Howe, Pa.; two sons, Ricky McAllister of Conneaut and Thomas McAllister of Santa Paula, Calif.; three step-sons, Richard Taft of North Kingsville, Thomas Taft of Cleveland, and Christopher Taft of Mississippi; sister Althea Denner of Citrus Springs, Fla., brother Richard McAllister of Alexandria Bay, N.Y., and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Ann (Ridsdale) McAllister in 1975; a daughter, Susan L. at birth; a brother, Robert; two sisters, Lula Ridsdale and Helen Bresett; and a granddaughter, Anna McAllister.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Robert Klinger of West Springfield United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Antwerp Cemetery, N.Y.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashtabula County.
Pauline Z. Morgans
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Pauline Z. Morgans, 83, of Cady Road died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Berlin Center.
Mrs. Morgans was born May 5, 1919, in Cleveland, the daughter of Paul and Dulcie Willey. She lived in Cleveland for 25 years before moving to North Kingsville.
Mrs. Morgans was a member of the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Deacons for several years. She also was a member of the North Kingsville Fire Department Auxiliary. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Hermiller of Berlin Center; and two grandchildren, Trisha and Scott Hermiller, also of Berlin Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald G.; sister, Sarah King; and brother, Dean Willey.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Christine Strachan, pastor of the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church, officiating. The Rev. Dalton Love, a former pastor, will assist.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Calling hours are 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Harold D. Kuntz Jr.
KINGSVILLE - Harold Daniel Kuntz Jr., 63, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at his home.
He was born May 27, 1939, in Castanea, Pa., the son of Harold Daniel and Vada Kuntz and was an Ashtabula resident since 1981.
Before retirement he was a pipefitter for Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local No. 521, Huntington, W.V., and No. 120 of Cleveland and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a member of the Kingsville First Baptist Church and enjoyed history, music, outdoors, westerns and cooking. He especially enjoyed laughter and his granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife Karen (Andrus), whom he married Nov. 7, 1971; children, Adrian Loomis of Conneaut and Aaron Kuntz of Cleveland; a granddaughter Makayla Loomis; two sisters, Mary Bilby of Wlliamsport Pa., and Helen Kuntz of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother Harry Kuntz of Phoenix, Ariz.; two half sisters, Joann Dickerson of Harrisburg, Pa. and Diane Potter of Williamsport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be noon, Tuesday, at Kingsville First Baptist Church, 6003 Lake St., Kingsville, The Rev. David Hines, Pastor, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula is handling arrangements.
Anita Dubach
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Anita Dubach, 60, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Brown Memorial Hospital, Conneaut.
She was born April 18, 1940, in Wythe County, Va., the daughter of Buford and Eulilia Burchett Taylor.
An area resident most of her life, she enjoyed cooking, collecting guns, knives, Mickey Mouse memorabilia and angels.
She was a painter for Bailey's Transplastics, Conneaut, until her retirement.
She is survived by her father, of Fairview, Va.; a son, Michael Dix of Conneaut; two sisters, Shelva Gravely of Ashtabula and Carolyn Bonds of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her first husband, Robert Dix, in 1983; her second husband, Fred Dubach. in 1991; a brother, Alger C. Taylor; and a sister, Della Mae Taylor.
At Mrs. Dubach's request, there will be no service.
Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.

Carey A. Campbell
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Carey A. Campbell, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, of injuries sustained in an automobile crash.
He was born May 24, 1913, in North Kingsville, the son of Frank and Alta (Butler) Campbell, and spent his early years in Gageville.
Mr. Campbell was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in Germany.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator at the Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Co.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4956 of W. Springfield, Pa., the 55 Much Alive Club of Sheffield, and was a former member of the North Kingsville Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed traveling, attending auctions, and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Jones), whom he married April 29, 1975; three sons, David of Houston, Texas, Ralph of Pace, Fla., and James of Middleburg, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Hattie Altsman of N. Kingsville, Carrie Cartner of Pocatello, Idaho, and Carol Bartone of Ashtabula; three stepsons, Wilbur and Charles Wolf, both of Ashtabula, and Wallace Wolf of Erie, Pa.; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Ruby; a stepdaughter, Shirley Terry; two sisters, Essie Griswold and Lois Beaver; and three brothers, Carl, Clyde, and Clarence.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. The Rev. Christine Strachan of North Kingsville Presbyterian Church will officiate. Military services also will be conducted. Burial will be in East Lake Cemetery, North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be Saturday 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Kingsville Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Robert M. Johns
KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP - Robert M. Johns, 82, formerly of Akron, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
He was born in Runa, W.Va., and had lived in Akron since 1958 before moving to Ashtabula after retirement in 1983.
He was employed by Betsy Ross Foods for more than 24 years.
He served with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II in the European Theater of Operations.
Mr. Johns was a member of First Grace Gospel Church, Ashtabula
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Doris; eight children, Robin of Akron, Rhonda of Columbus, Timothy of Green, Stephan of Brimfield, Betty Sickinger of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Robert Godden of Chardon, and Steven Floyd Batchelor and Michael Batchelor of Conneaut; three brothers, Lyle of Fayetteville, W.Va., Darrell of Tennessee, and Carl of Akron; two sisters, Zelma Lee of Akron, and Emogene Coy of Scarbro, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jewel, in 1977.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Road, Akron. The Rev. David Adams will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, where Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3383 will conduct military honors.
