Mary L. Meyer
KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP - Mary L. Meyer, 58, died Saturday, March 17, 2001, in her home following a long illness.
Born Sept. 13, 1942, in Cherry Valley Township; she was a daughter of Roy and Doris (Fuller) Boberg.
She married James A. Meyer on Oct. 7, 1961.
An area resident for more than 28 years, she worked for Premix Inc.. North Kingsville, from 1977 to 1999.
She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Survivors include her mother of Ashtabula; her husband; two sons, Christopher of Austinburg Township and Michael of Kingsville Township; a daughter, Kelly Paulchel of Kingsville Township; a sister Judy Silva; and six grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley and Timothy Meyer and Vanessa, Cassie and Daniel Paulchel.
She was preceded in death by her father; two sons, Timothy, in 1980 and Scott, in 1989; a daughter, Nancy, in infancy in 1966; and a brother, Jimmy Boberg.
At her request, no service or calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation and may be sent to the Zaback-Czup Funeral Home, 500 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, which has charge of the arrangements.
Arthur Bernard Sharp
KINGSVILLE - Arthur Bernard Sharp, 85, formerly of West 57th Street, Ashtabula, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Ashtabula, the son of Robert Floyd and Emma (Hanson) Sharp, and lived in Chicago before returning to Ashtabula in 1965.
Prior to retirement in 1982, he worked as a maintenance man for the Coca-Cola Company in Painesville, and previously for Chicago Stadium.
He was an avid baseball and basketball fan and loved to play cards - especially poker - and Rummy 500.
Survivors include three sisters, Jean Loisi and Alice Sharp, both of Ashtabula, and Martha Sharp of Denver, Colo.; and a brother, Martin Sharp of Denver.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, his twin Louis Sharp, and William Sharp.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. The Rev. John Germaine, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling hour at the funeral home is 10 a.m. Friday.

Helen W. McCollister
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Helen W. McCollister, 69, of Shady Lane, North Kingsville, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut.
Mrs. McCollister was born July 25, 1933, in Tinney, a daughter of John and Lillian (Champenoise) Hopkins.
She was an area resident for 37 years and was of the Lutheran faith. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Conneaut and enjoyed camping, watching television, genealogy and bird-watching.
Survivors include her husband, Sam McCollister, whom she married July 11, 1953; four daughters, Debora Woodard of Kinsman, Rebecca Robison of Conneaut, Amanda Tredway of New London, N.C., and Candace Rodgers of Ashtabula; a son, Jason McCollister of Mount Home, Idaho; five sisters, Jane Eversole of Eastlake, Isabelle Cheek of Chiloquin, Ore., Annabelle Knott of Toledo, Rosey Knott of Woodville, and Myrtle Williams of Fremont; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Chelsea Rodgers, in infancy.
A private graveside service will be held.
No calling hours will be observed, but a gathering for family and friends is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at the McCollister home, 4434 Shady Lane, North Kingsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Kingsville Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the McCollister home or at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is handling the arrangements.
Ruby M. Getzien
KINGSVILLE - Ruby M. (Schultz) Getzien, 79, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Cleveland. Prior to her death, she lived in Eastlake for a year, and she formerly lived in Euclid.
Mrs. Getzien was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Petti of Dorset; grandchildren Joseph Petti and Andrea Elliott; a great-granddaughter, Katie Lynn; and a brother, Norman Schultz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Getzien.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Friday at Brickman and Sons Funeral Home, 21900 Euclid Ave., Euclid. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
Calling hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Anna R. Passmore
KINGSVILLE - Anna R. Passmore, 88, formerly of State Line Road, Conneautville, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born April 1, 1914, in Cleveland, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Juhasz) Polgar. She resided most of her life in Monroe Township.
Mrs. Passmore had worked for Ward Products of Cleveland, Molded Fiberglass in Ashtabula, and the Albro Pickle Factory in Springboro, Pa.
She was a former member of St. Andrews Church of Sheffield and at the time of her death was a member of St. Mary's Church in Conneaut. She was a member of the 50-50 Club and the Altar Rosary Society. She spent much of her time making crafts for the church.
Mrs. Passmore enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include son Ted Passmore of Conneautville, Pa.; daughters Reda Paulson of Fremont and Marie Greene of Chagrin Falls; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband David A., twin sister Agetha Juhasz and sisters Mary Siek and Elizabeth Witt, brothers Joseph and Steve Polgar and great-grandson Brian E. Passmore.
Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Mary's Church, 480 State St., Conneaut, officiated by the Rev. Raymond Thomas. Internment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.
Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Passmore's name to either St. Andrews Church in Sheffield Township or St. Mary's Church in Conneaut. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
Louis F. Johnson
NORTH KINGSVILLE - Louis F. Johnson, 80, of Harmon Road, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 5, 1921, in Warren, the son of the late Floyd and Lenna (Cheesman) Johnson, he had resided most of his life in North Kingsville.
Mr. Johnson was employed by the Reliance Electric Co. for 34 years and retired as supervisor of the Test Department.
He was a member of the Amboy United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and served on many church boards. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in England during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Neal Post No. 743 of Kingsville and Orion Lodge Freely and Accepted Masons No. 353.
In his leisure time Mr. Johnson enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He enjoyed meeting with his fellow employees from Reliance Electric for lunch.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Stewart, to whom he had been married for the past 54 years; a son, David Johnson of Geneva; a granddaughter, Crystal Johnson of Geneva; and a sister, Ruth Johnson of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Louis Jr. in infancy; a daughter, Cynthia Sue Johnson; and a sister, Louise Johnson.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Amboy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Grant officiating. Internment will follow in Eastlake Cemetery in North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.
