Ralph H. Robishaw
KINGSVILLE - Ralph H. Robishaw, 95, of Priest Street, Kingsville, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville.
He was born Jan. 14, 1907, in Wellington, the son of James Lee and Blanche (Herrick) Robishaw. He had lived in the Kingsville area for most of his life.
A graduate of Ashtabula High School, he worked as a letter carrier for the Ashtabula Post Office from 1926 to 1976.
He was a 57-year member and past master of Orion Lodge 353 Free and Accepted Masons; a 50-year member of Western Reserve Chapter 8 RAM; a 50-year member of Orion Chapter 12 OES; and a member of Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland.
Mr. Robishaw was a member of Kingsville Presbyterian Church and the National Association of Retired Letter Carriers.
Survivors include his two sons, Lee and Ted H. of Kingsville; a daughter, Martha Robishaw of Kingsville; and four grandchildren, Lori Robishaw of Alexandria, Va., Bruce Robishaw of Cuyahoga Falls, Ted Robishaw of Marietta, Ga., and Jennifer Kirk of Pataskala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanett W. Robishaw, in 1995; a brother, Donald Robishaw; and a sister, Geraldine Crites.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kingsville Presbyterian Church, 3056 W. Main St., Kingsville, with the Rev. Bonnie Habbersett officiating.
Burial will be in Lulu Falls Cemetery, Kingsville.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ross-Billman Funeral Home, 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with a Masonic service conducted by Orion Lodge 353 at 7:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kingsville Presbyterian Church or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral home.
Carlos E Hudson
July 18, 1929 - December 4, 2011

Carlos E. (Woody) Hudson, age 82 of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away on December 4, 2001, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 18, 1929, in Van Wert, Ohio, he was the son of Nolon and Ruby (Tabler) Hudson.
For 30 years he was Director of Choral Music at the Buckeye School System (Edgewood Senior High School) and during that time had been employed as Church Choir Director variously at East Side Presbyterian Church, First Christian Church and the First United Methodist Church of Ashtabula. Woody also served as Director of the Ashtabula Messiah Chorus, the Town Choir, and the Men of Praise, and conducted and sang with the Ashtabula County Choral Music Society. He was a 51 year member of the East Side Presbyterian Church.
A 32nd Degree Mason, Woody was also an employee of the Local United States Postal Service. He served stateside in the Army during the Korean War, and earned degrees in Music Education from Bowling Green State University (B.A.) and Kent State University (M.Ed).
His survivors include his wife of 51years, Florence (Fair) Hudson, his daughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Reddig of Des Moines, IA; his son Bruce D. Hudson, of Saint Paul, MN; three grandchildren – Lucas, Shelby and Noah Reddig; several nieces and nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers – Michael, Richard, David and Nolon.
A Memorial service will be Saturday (Dec. 10th) at 12:30 PM at the East Side Presbyterian Church, 3440 Edgewood Dr. Ashtabula with the Rev. Shane Nanney officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the East Side Presbyterian Church, 3440 Edgewood Dr. Ashtabula, Ohio or to Habitat for Humanity (Ashtabula), 2719 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula, Ohio.

Maynard B Walker

Maynard B. Walker, 81 of Jefferson Road, Ashtabula, died Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center with his loving family beside him. He was born in Ashtabula on August 22, 1930, the son of Wade and Beryl (Bartram) Walker and has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School. Maynard married his sweetheart, Emily Hartley, on July 1, 1951, at Williamsfield United Methodist Church. In 1952, he graduated with honors from the Ohio State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a licensed professional engineer. He came back to Ashtabula to work at Pinney Dock and Transport Company, founded by his uncle Nelson J. Pinney and became President of the Dock in 1967. He retired in 2001.
He served on the Board of Directors for several local banks, the Civic Development Corporation, the Ashtabula Foundation, the Ashtabula County Medical Center, the Great Lakes Terminal Operators Association and was a member of the National Association of Stevedores. Mr. Walker shared in the vision of Nelson and Marguerite Pinney with his continued support of the development of Kent State University at Ashtabula. Maynard has been one of the quiet benefactors to our county, never wanting the spotlight, in fact uncomfortable with it. Nonetheless, Maynard made silent contributions to many lives locally and regionally. He firmly believed that the more he gave, the more he and his family were blessed.
He had many interests including bowling, fishing, golfing, boating and flying; one of his happiest accomplishments was getting his private pilot’s license while in his 60’s. His most treasured times were spent with his family and friends. Maynard will also always be remembered by many as being a most gracious host. Times spent in Hilton Head Island, S.C. were among his favorites.
Surviving him are his wife, Emily (Hartley) Walker; four daughters, Rebecca (David) Carr of Summerfield, Florida, Diana (Charles) Strawbridge of Ashtabula, Valerie (Jeffrey) Vanderlip of Marietta, Georgia and Lisa Masselli of Clearwater, Florida. Mr. Walker has ten grandchildren: Jason, John and Stephen Carr, Timothy and Bryan Strawbridge, Carl, Kathleen and Maxwell Vanderlip and Bret and Alex Masselli. Mr. Walker was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Seth, Logan and Ethan Carr.
Antonio C. Farroco, their 1978 Brazilian foreign-exchange student became an important part of the Walker’s extended family.
Also surviving are Donald (Theresa) Walker of Largo, Florida, Shirley Miner of Arcadia, Florida, Roberta Loudenslager of Melbourne, Florida and Dr. Edward (Barbara) Walker of Hubbard, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dr. Joy Walker.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 05, 2011 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. The funeral service will be at 11a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the same location, with Pastor Kent Bell of Bethel Life Worship Center, Greenville, Pennsylvania officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.

Robert E Fogle

Robert E. Fogle, 80 of Tennis Circle, Ashtabula died Monday (Nov. 28th) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born August 18, 1931 in Conneaut, Ohio the son of John and Mable (Williams) Fogle.
He was a veteran of the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a prisoner of war for thirty two months.
He worked for Rockwell Brake in Saybrook Township until his retirement in 1981. He is a member of the VFW Post #943 in Ashtabula; American legion Post #103 and was a former member of the Erie County Beagle Club.
He enjoyed NASCAR, watching westerns on TV, fishing and he was a Brown’s Fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving him are his wife, Delores (Hanna) Fogle; three daughters, Karen (Corky) Simmons of Madison, Kathy (David Rocker) Fogle of Jefferson and Carol Fogle of Ashtabula; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Jason, Robert, Stephanie, Louie, Michael and Yolanda; four great-grandchildren, Brooke, Hannah, Dominic and Devin; a sister, Mary Gerrick of Andover and Jack Fogle of Dorset. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sisters, Howard, Ellen, Ronald, Jeannett, Jean, Richard, Margaret, Ruth and Harry.
The funeral service will be Saturday (Dec. 3rd) at 10:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Hans Miggo, Chaplain at the American Legion Post #103 officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville with American Legion Post #103 conducting military rites.
Calling hours will be Friday (Dec. 2nd) from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Rosaline E Doyle

Rosaline E. Doyle 88 of Ashtabula died Saturday (Nov. 19th) in the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1923 in Dorset, Ohio the daughter of Fred and Lucy (Mellinger) Mead and has been a lifetime area resident.
She graduated from Ashtabula Business College and worked for a number of years with Pinney Dock in Ashtabula as a Rail Shipment Clerk.
She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Ashtabula where she was a Sunday School teacher; Sang in the church choir and was active with the Junior Church “kids” and also a supporter of Camp Koinea. She was a active member of the Deming-New Lyme Alumni Association and was a 4-H leader for many years.
She enjoyed her church, her work at Pinney Dock ; her family and family reunions. Surviving her is her son, Robert (Donna) Doyle, Jr. of Jefferson; two daughters, Deanna (Peter) Smiley of Ashtabula and Dixie Lee Cress of Perry, Georgia; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Sandella. She was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life her husband, Robert E. Doyle, Sr. in 1963 and two sisters, Norma Palmer and Emma Crosby.
Funeral service will be Tuesday (Nov. 29th) at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 4353 Park Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio with Rev. Doug Wright officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.

Timothy M. Logan

Timothy M. Logan, age 40, W. 19th St., Ashtabula, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at his residence.
He was born April 15, 1971 in Willoughby, the son of Donald R. & Cynthia M. (Barrack) Logan and has lived in Ashtabula Co. all of his life. He was a 1989 graduate of Jefferson Area High School. He married Susan L. Connors on February 2, 1992 at the Rock Creek Church of Christ. Tim had been employed with Lake County Utilities the past 22 years.
His interests included softball, golfing, bowling and hunting and the three cats of his family, Fluffy, Midnight & Sirus.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, his parents, Donald & Cindy Logan of Carrollton, GA, four siblings, Terri L. Morris of Carrollton, GA, Tammy J. Crismon of Hanoverton, Donald R. Logan, Jr. of Guatemala and his twin, Todd E. Logan of Lancaster and 18 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 P. M. at the Geneva Church of Christ, 1007 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Matt Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Union Cemetery, Rock Creek.
