GENEVA - Edith M. Culver, 61, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at LakeEast Hospital, Painesville.
Born March 11, 1940, in Hastings, Pa., she was a daughter of Alexander and Garnet (Hoak) Mehay.
She worked at Libra Industries in computer boards assembly.
She enjoyed flea markets, drawing, collecting Indian articles and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Merle; four daughters, Anna Bean and Renee Yommer of Geneva, Donna Deis of Orwell and Jeannie Rader of Sharon, Pa.; three sons, Thomas of Youngstown, Alex Hoagland of Geneva and Richard Hoagland of Sharon, Pa.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Oliphant of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jules Mehay; a daughter, Etta Irene Hoagland, and a granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Culver.
Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with the Rev. Chris Anderson of Tri-County Bible Church, Madison, officiating. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery, Arcola Road, Madison Township.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Dale M. Baumgarten
GENEVA - Dale M. Baumgarten, 61, of Roosevelt Drive, Geneva, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1940, in Geneva, the son of Carl and Ruth (Cook) Baumgarten, Sr.
He was a Geneva and Madison resident all his life.
He worked as a wireman and was a 39-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 673 in Mentor.
Mr. Baumgarten enjoyed reading, carpentry and inventing.
Survivors include his wife Audrey, whom he married Aug. 25, 1967 in Jefferson; two sons, Todd and Tim, both of Geneva; a daughter, Kelly, of Geneva; and three grandchildren, Erica, Brittany and Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Saybrook Cemetery.

Joan K. Mills
GENEVA - Joan K. Mills, 71, of Vine Street, Geneva, died Friday, June 6, 2003 at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
She was born in Painesville on May 16, 1932, the daughter of Louis C. and Alberta "Bessie" (Smith) Palinkas. She married Larry N. Mills on October 2, 1954, in Geneva.
She was a member of Evangel Temple Church of God in Geneva and worked as a Ticket Cashier and Assistant Manager at Sheas Theatre of Geneva.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; two daughters, Colleen Otto of Madison and Rosie Bramer of Geneva; one sister, Virginia Polkow of Ashtabula; 3 grandchildren, Mike, Tina & Angie; 3 great grandchildren, Andrew, Maryssa & Justyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Teddy and Charles.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Evangel Temple Church of God, 103 W. Main St., Geneva. Bishop Paul E. McCoy of the Evangel Temple Church of God will officiate.

Sarrah R. Jones
GENEVA - Sarrah R. Jones, 79, of Eastlawn Street, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at the University Hospital of Cleveland. She was born July 18, 1923, in Ashtabula, the daughter of William H. and Hattie E. (Moore) Bowers.
Mrs. Jones lived in Geneva for 32 years.
She was a homemaker and married James "Eddie" Jones on Nov. 16, 1963, in Conneaut.
She enjoyed bowling on mixed leagues at Northridge Lanes and baby-sitting for 30 years. She was also a member of the Peoples Church, Geneva.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Brown Jr., James Brown and Charles "Billy" Jones, all of Geneva, Robert Brown of California, and Raymond Brown of Nova Scotia; three daughters, Sarrah E. Brown and Betty Cochran, both of Geneva, and Ruby Leech of Ashtabula; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, in 2001; an infant son, James E. Jones Jr.; an adopted son, Charles Brown; one sister, Ruby Duff; three brothers, Roger, Richard and Raymond Bowers; and her parents.
Service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

William W. Weirick
GENEVA - William W. Weirick, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Sunset Manor, Geneva.
He was born April 10, 1925 in Clyde and was a Geneva area resident for six years.
Mr. Weirick served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a mail carrier.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Weirick of Toledo; and a son, Daniel Weirick of Cleveland.
There will be no services or calling hours observed at this time.

Burton W. Wheeler
GENEVA - Burton W. Wheeler, 69, of Fourth Street, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Geneva, the son of Samuel W. and Georgia A. (Brockway) Wheeler.
Mr. Wheeler worked as a chopper operator for 12 years at Hadlock Plastics, Geneva, retiring in 1993.
He married Laura Jean Wentz on June 21, 1955, in Orwell.
Mr. Wheeler was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed woodworking and coached the Giants Little League team for three years. He was a member of Moose Lodge of Ashtabula and attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Geneva.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arthur of Ashtabula and Jerry of Garland, Texas; a daughter, Valerie Ziefle of Geneva; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Matthew, Amanda, Jamie and Gwen Wheeler, Autumn Gordon, Michelle and Hope Baruffa, and Aaron Ziefle; and two sisters, Eileen Campbell of Geneva and Carrie Olson of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Chancey and Arthur.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. The Rev. Charles Althoff of St. John's Lutheran Church, Geneva, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
