Dean L. Cryder
GENEVA - Dean Leroy Cryder, 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at the Rae-Ann Nursing Home, Geneva.
Born Nov. 15, 1926, in Jersey Shore, Pa., he was a son of Robert and Charlotte (Moody) Cryder.
He married Jane Venman in 1991 in Geneva.
A 1944 Albion High School, Albion, Pa., graduate, he attended Edinboro College.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Mr. Cryder worked as a designer for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jill Hall of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, Jody, Jeff and Greg of Port Orchard, Wash.; two stepchildren, Kristen Johnson of Wayne Township, and Eric C. Miller of Pace, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jack of Albion, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jean (Johnson); son Jack, in 2001; an infant daughter, Jan Melissa; and a brother, Robert.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with The Rev. Charles Oplinger officiating. Burial will be in Albion Cemetery, Albion, Pa.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Larry W. Dewey
SAN JOSE, Calif. Former Conneaut resident Larry W. Dewey, 57, died July 21, 2002, in San Jose.
He was born Jan. 6, 1945, a son of George H. and Elizabeth (Sanger) Dewey.
A Rowe High School graduate, he participated in most sports. Following high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force, serving most of the time in Italy.
Upon his return from the service, he moved to California, where he graduated from college. He worked as a sales representative until illness forced his retirement.
He enjoyed sports and vacationing at his second home in the California mountains.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kitsy; and his mother, Betty, of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Gary H. and Calvin G.
A service was held July 27 in San Jose.

Diana L. Craft
GENEVA - Diana L. Craft, 57, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at her daughter’s home in Geneva. She was born Sept. 2, 1945 in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Eugene and Alice (Joles) Craft.
Mrs. Craft live in Geneva for the last couple of years, but lived most of her life in Erie, Pa.
She worked as a home care-giver and enjoyed fishing and crocheting.
She also worked at Lisa’s Tropicana Tanning Salon in Geneva and HASCO Spring in Jefferson.
Survivors include three daughters; Lisa M. Barker of Geneva, Cynthia Burnette of Newton Falls and Michele Hay of Saybrook, one son; Robert Walston of Erie, Pa.; one sister, Barbara O’Brien of Palm Harbor, Fla.; one brother, George Craft of Girard, Pa.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Walston, a son; Richard Walston, Jr. and her parents.
No service will be observed. Burial of ashes will be in Laurel Cemetery in Erie, Pa. at a later date.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 828 Sherman St., Geneva.

Robert J. McLaughlin
GENEVA - Robert J. McLaughlin, 82, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Rae-Ann nursing home.
He was born Dec. 22, 1920, in Weston, W.Va. the son of June Clyde and Mary (Burt) McLaughlin. He had been a Geneva resident since the 1950s.
Mr. McLaughlin was a private in the U.S. Army and veteran of World War II. He retired from IRC Fibers, where he worked as a mechanic for 32 years.
He enjoyed traveling, bowling, polka dancing, candy and Southern cooking.
Survivors include his four children, Robert McLaughlin of Chesterland, Helen Mullen and Carol Powell, both of Geneva, and Allen Gillen of Perry; seven grandchildren, Dwayne, Freddie, Todd, Jeanie, Kelley, David and Brian; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Dolores Wright of Cleveland, Lenores Pettit of Painesville and Pearl McLaughlin of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ralph and Fred McLaughlin; great-grandchild, Daniel Mullen; and parents.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, at Ducro Funeral Service and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. The Rev. Chester Cover, assistant pastor of The New Life Assembly of God, will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Arbera D. Kuhn
GENEVA - Arbera D. Kuhn, 76, of Geneva, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Lake Hospital Systems Lake East in Painesville.
He was born Jan. 22, 1927, in Orgas, W.Va., the son of Kirtis N. and Lula M. (Barker) Kuhn.
He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was retired from SIFCO Industries in Cleveland, where he was manager of the heat-treating department.
He married Sallie A. (Holstien) Kuhn on June 27, 1949, in Sod, W.Va.
Survivors include two daughters, Sallie Rau of Geneva, and Betty Larrison of Ashtabula; four sons, Calvin Kuhn of Brunswick, Bruce Kuhn of Westlake, Robert Kuhn of Geneva, and Paul Kuhn of Madison; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Kirtis Kuhn Jr. and Darrell Kuhn, both of Missouri, Lloyd Kuhn of Texas, and Glenn Kuhn of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, in 1992; a sister, Ilene McGuire; and three brothers, Norman Kuhn, Bobby Kuhn and Evalda Kuhn.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
There will be no calling hours.
Paul E. Little
NEW ALBANY, Miss. - Paul Eugene Little, 66, died March 22, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Little was born in Geneva Township on August 15, 1936, the son of Paul E. and Dorothy (Smith) Little.
He went to Ashtabula High School and worked at the Star Beacon before entering the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. In the service, he was a heavy-equipment specialist.
A self-employed refrigeration consultant, he was a member of the American Legion in New Albany, Miss.
Survivors include his wife, Gen Little of New Albany, Miss.; three daughters, Susanne Steward and Amanda Warrington, both of New Albany, Miss., and Cathy Stoop of Booneville, Miss.; two sons, Fred Little of New Albany, Miss., and Joe Little of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two sisters, Elsie M. Dewey of Jefferson, and Jan Dunbar of Palatka, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Chris Little; and a brother, in infancy.
Mr. Little was buried in Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in New Albany West, Miss. McBride Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
