Dennis L. Karmansky
GENEVA - Dennis L. Karmansky, 66, of Eagle Street, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at the Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.
He was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Rock Creek, the son of Albert and Hazel (Hayford) Karmansky and had been a lifelong Geneva resident.
Mr. Karmansky was a retired truck driver of Red-Mix for Sidley Inc., of Painesville, working 27 years.
He married Helen Temky Jan. 15, 1955, in Decatur, Ind. They enjoyed spending summers at their home in Canada.
He was a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6846 of Geneva and the Geneva Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2243 bowling league. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Bentley of Geneva; a son, Dennis W. of Geneva; five grandchildren, Beth Ellsworth, Rob and Adam Perkins, and Ray and Dennis W. Karmansky; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.
Graveside service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a time and date to be announced.

William 'Tony' Buonomo
Las Vegas, Nev. - William "Tony" Buonomo, 65, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, after a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 21, 1935 in Ashtabula, he was a son of John and Ada (Limback) Buonomo.
Mr. Buonomo resided in Las Vegas for the past 30 years where he owned and operated a vacuum cleaning business.
He is survived by his wife, Hoang; a daughter, Jennifer Shepard; a son, Tommy; sister, Myra Wellman; and a brother, John. Relatives living in the Ashtabula area include his uncle and aunt, Tony and Olivia Buonomo, and aunt, Marjorie (Limback) Farquhar of Jefferson.
Funeral was Saturday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Burial was in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, Las Vegas.
Ken W. Huya
GENEVA - Ken W. Huya, 53, of East Main Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at his home.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva.
Elizabeth A. Newell
GENEVA - Elizabeth "Bettie" A. Newell, 67, of Geneva, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002.
She was born May 30, 1935, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Melvin and Bettie (Noyes) Miller.
She married Russell Newell on Oct. 16, 1960, in Geneva.
Mrs. Newell worked as a riveter with ATC for 13 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with her children, other family and friends.
Mrs. Newell enjoyed sewing, crafts and doll collecting.
The family would like to thank Becky Hooper for her special care.
Survivors include five daughters, Deborah Brelo of Akron, Veronica Gersin of Geneva, Sandra Mack of Geneva, Valerie Stough of Ashtabula, and Dawn Breedlove of Colebrook; a son, Robert Glover of Geneva; her mother, Bettie Richardson of Geneva; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, a sister, Lois Fassett of Plymouth Township; and three brothers, Homer L. Miller of Barefoot Bay, Fla., Glenwood Ickes of Geneva, and Melvin Miller of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Russell, in September 1999; and a brother, George R. Noyes.
Services are noon today at the Behm Family Funeral Home Inc., 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Shirley Deemer, of Geneva Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.

Marjorie P. Hill-Ball
GENEVA - Marjorie P. Hill-Ball, 81, of Buckingham Court, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at her home.
She was born May 15, 1921, in Geneva, to Thomas J. and Mabel M. (Maddox) Cox.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son Larry Hill of Geneva, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Hill in 1984 and her second husband Fenton E. Ball in 1990, daughter Donna Vliek, her parents, sisters Elizabeth Gilpin and Olive Dingle, and brother Thomas J. Cox Jr.
Private graveside service is 1 p.m. Thursday, at Evergreen Cemetery.

Santina R. Pasqualone
GENEVA - Santina R. "Tina" Pasqualone, 87, formerly of North Ridge East, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at the Rae Ann Nursing Home in Geneva.
She was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Cleveland, the daughter of John and Antoinette (Boiano) Passalaqua.
She was lab technician at Geneva True Temper for 30 years, retiring in 1972.
She married Chester "Chet" Pasqualone on July 7, 1934, in Geneva.
She was a member of Assumption Church, attended Holy Name School in Cleveland and was a member of Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed flower gardening and working in the yard.
Survivors include a son, John Pasqualone; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, Rocco Passalaqua of Euclid.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, in 1999; a son, Carlo; two sisters, Annette Commisso and Angela Nocera; two brothers, John Passalaqua and Domenic Passalaqua; and a grandson, Michael Pasqualone.
Service is 1 p.m. Friday, at Assumption Church of Geneva, 594 W. Main St. The Rev. Paul Tobin, of Assumption Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.

Anna M. Oravetz
GENEVA - Anna Martha Oravetz, 78, of Geneva, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at Rae-Ann Geneva.
She was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Axel and Leah (Chiquoine) Eilertsen.
She worked as a rental agent for various companies for 18 years, and she was an area resident for more than 25 years.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed knitting, traveling, dancing and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Frank M. Oravetz Jr., whom she married Aug. 28, 1944, in Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Ronald Oravetz of Andover, and Edward Oravetz of Madison; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arthur Eilertsen; and an infant grandson, Edward Oravetz Jr.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Behm Family Funeral Homes Inc., 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. The Rev. Vernon Shepherd, of Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison, will officiate. Burial will be at Mentor Municipal Cemetery in Mentor.
