Elizabeth A. Newell
GENEVA - Elizabeth "Bettie" A. Newell, 67, of Geneva, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002.
She was born May 30, 1935, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Melvin and Bettie (Noyes) Miller.
She married Russell Newell on Oct. 16, 1960, in Geneva.
Mrs. Newell worked as a riveter with ATC for 13 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with her children and other family, and friends.
Mrs. Newell enjoyed sewing, crafts and doll collecting.
The family would like to thank Becky Hooper for her special care.
Survivors include five daughters, Deborah Brelo of Akron, Veronica Gersin of Geneva, Sandra Mack of Geneva, Valerie Stough of Ashtabula, and Dawn Breedlove of Colebrook; a son, Robert Glover of Geneva; her mother, Bettie Richardson of Geneva; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, a sister, Lois Fassett of Plymouth Township; and three brothers, Homer L. Miller of Barefoot Bay, Fla., Glenwood Ickes of Geneva, and Melvin Miller of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Russell, in September 1999; and a brother, George R. Noyes.
Services will be noon Wednesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home Inc., 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Shirley Deemer, of Geneva Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
David H. Fletcher
GENEVA - David Howard Fletcher, 68, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 6, 1933, in Cleveland, to Howard and Martha (Fellman) Fletcher. He had been a Geneva resident since 1969, coming from Euclid.
He married Virginia "Ginger" Gray on Dec. 31, 1960, in New York, N.Y.
Mr. Fletcher was a 1951 Orange High School graduate and attended Miami University. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He worked as a toolmaker for General Motors for 43 years, retiring in September, 1996.
Mr. Fletcher painted an historical mural at Cork Elementary School in 1992. He enjoyed bowling and turkey hunting.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debra Loucks of Richmond Heights, Diane Jarvis of Geneva and Susan Pulsney of Erie, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Fern Heath of Chardon and Mary Dashiell of St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva, officiated by the Rev. Elizabeth Eaton of Messiah Lutheran Church, Ashtabula.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva.

Margaret Smejkal
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE - Margaret "Peggy" Smejkal, 69, formerly of Old Lake Road, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at the Jefferson Geriatric Center, Jefferson.
Born Aug. 28, 1932, in Cleveland, she was a daughter of Martin H. and Pearl L. (Vales) Hann.
She married Marlowe F. Smejkal on March 27, 1963, in Girard, Pa.
Mrs. Smejkal served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years during the 1950s.
She was police officer with the Ashtabula County Sheriff's Department for 10 years, working with the narcotics and firearms divisions. She was the first woman to go out on the road with the Virginia State Patrol.
She was a history buff and spoke on the CB under the name "Rebel Rowser."
Mrs. Smejkal was a member of the Geneva Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son, Jamie L., serving in the U.S. Air Force; two grandchildren; and a sister, M. Ruth Geissenhainer of Bay Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970; her parents; and two sisters, Gladys Becker and Betty L. Harper.
Service is 11 a.m. Nov. 24 at Geneva Church of the Nazarene, 710 Centennial St., Geneva, with the Rev. Shirley Deemer officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Geneva Church of eh Nazarene.

Nevada LeCrone
GENEVA Nevada "Rex" LeCrone, 94, of Eastlawn St., died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at the Jefferson Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson.
She was born Aug. 6, 1906, in Charleroi, Pa., the daughter of Julius W. and Anna (May) Recklies and she moved to the Geneva area in 1936.
Mrs. LeCrone had been employed for Stiffler Grocery Store in Geneva. In her younger years she played semi-pro basketball. She enjoyed basketball, baseball, especially the Cubs and Indians and she enjoyed reading.
Survivors include four nieces and her caregivers and friends, Cathy Castrilla, Daurel Marcy and Brandy Smith, all of Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, V. J. "Lefty" LeCrone in 1963; a brother, J. W. Recklies; and three sisters, Clara Lockard, Billie Smith and Ann Peace.
A graveside service will be 1:15 p.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva.
Isabella W. Bromley
GENEVA Isabella "Issy" W. Bromley, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at Lake County West Hospital in Willoughby. A memorial open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Irongate Arabians, 1151 South Ridge East.
Robert D. Webb
GENEVA - Judge Robert D. Webb, 84, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Boynton Beach, Fla.
He was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Geneva, to Agnes Carter and Duane M. Webb.
Judge Webb married Betty Jane Olsson in Dec. 1941 in Mobile, Ala.
He graduated from Geneva High School, Miami University and the University of Denver Law School. He was an officer in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Judge Webb was an officer in D.M. Webb Motor Company from 1949 to 1956. He was appointed assistant Ashtabula County Prosecutor and elected two terms as County Prosecutor, from 196064 and 196872. He was appointed Assistant Ohio Attorney General in 1964. He opened the Webb-DiFabio law office in 1965. He was appointed, then elected Western County Court Judge.
He was the past president of the Ashtabula Exchange Club. He was also a 32nd-degree Mason, and a member of the Geneva Rotary Club, Ohio Bar Association, Ashtabula County Bar Association and Geneva United Church. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Ashtabula Elks Cub and an original member of the Palm Beach Gyro Club.
Survivors include sons Robert Webb of Kirtland and Chuck Webb of Geneva; and grandchildren Shannon Webb Von Gunten, Jennifer Alice Webb, Charles Webb Jr. and Mark Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister Virginia Ray.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.

Leticia Reynoso
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE - Leticia Reynoso, eight months, of Geneva-on-the-Lake, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland.
She was born Jan. 16, 2001, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Carlos and Michelle (Miller) Reynoso.
Survivors include two sisters, Brittany Miller and Anjelica Reynoso, both at home; her paternal grandparents, Justo and Enedina Sandoual DeReynoso, of Perry; and her maternal grandparents, Betty (Rose) and Michael Calkins, of Painesville and Ronald and Margaret Miller of Diamond, Ohio.
Service will be 1 p.m. today at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. The Rev. Paul Tobin of the Assumption Church in Painesville will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
