Betty J. Ruck
GENEVA - Betty Jane Ruck, 76, of Route 534, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Jefferson Geriatric Rehabilitation Center, Jefferson.
She was born June 12, 1925, in Hartsgrove Township, to Norman and Mary (Smith) Trask, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Ruck had worked as a cook in various Geneva restaurants prior to retirement
She enjoyed crafts, lawn care, catering and being around young people.
Survivors include a son, Dennis of Jefferson; two grandsons, Joshua and Daniel; and brother, Richard Trask of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Daniel.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva. Burial will be in Trumbull Township Cemetery.
Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Stanley A. Mihely Jr.
GENEVA - Stanley A. Mihely Jr., 64, of Elm Street, die Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at the University Hospitals, Cleveland.
He was born July 7, 1937, in Cleveland, the son of Stanley A. and Mary (Sintic) Mihely and had lived in the Jefferson area all of his life before moving to Geneva 20 years ago.
A 1955 Jefferson High School graduate, he owned and operated Mihely's Auto Body Shop, Jefferson, with his son. He was involved in the business for the past 40 years.
He was a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6846, Geneva; a member of Jefferson Eagles Aerie 3381 and the Geneva Eagles Aerie 2243.
He enjoyed watching football, playing the accordion and was active with the VFW Billiards League.
Survivors include two sisters, Elaine Clark of Georgia and Janet Johnson of Ashtabula; five children, Steven A., Cynthia L. Kemmer, Pam K. Howell and Buddy W., all of Jefferson, and Vicky J. Burns of Rock Creek; his wife of 29 years, Georgette (Bates); five stepchildren, Deidra D. Bates of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Shaune T. Bates of Florida, Michael R. Bates and John T. Bates of Tennessee, and Bonnie M. Leaverton of Geneva; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Paul Allen Montgomery; a sister, Dorothy Knam; and a brother and sister in infancy, John Paul and Joyce Joanne Mihely.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Mark Erskine, associate pastor of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Eagleville Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
M. Susan Metzler
GENEVA - M. Susan "Susie" Metzler, 60, of Lake Road East, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Rae-Ann Nursing Home, Geneva.
She was born April 14, 1941, in Frostburg, MD, the daughter of Herman and Anastasia (Rafferty) Phillips. She married Gerald D. Metzler on April 27, 1968.
She graduated from Beall High School in Maryland in 1959 where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed doing plastic canvas crafts and reading.
Mrs. Metzler was a homemaker, and also served as secretary to Harry Schmock at the NEO Bank in Geneva from 1969 to 1973.
She was a member of the Assumption Church of Geneva.
Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Ann Greco of Geneva and Jane Fram of Mentor; her twin brother, Ed "Sonny" Phillips of Geneva; and a brother, Joseph "Leon" Phillips of Saybrook Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glenn Phillips.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Assumption Church, 594 W. Main St., Geneva with Father Paul Tobin of the church officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Frostburg, MD., where Father William Moody will officiate.
The Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, is in charge of arrangements.
Carolyn Ann Davis
GENEVA - Carolyn Ann Davis, 68, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at her residence.
A 30-year resident of Geneva, she was born Oct. 14, 1932, in Cleveland.
She married Robert Davis November 20, 1951.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Robert Davis of Geneva and Richard Davis of Madison; three daughters, Carol Benetka of Geneva and Deborah Abbott, both of Geneva and Kathleen Suter of Peachtree City, Ga.; one sister, Mary Kosier of Geneva; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ruth (Fetherson) Kosier and her step-parents, Jesse and Helen Kroneker.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison. The Rev. Luigi Miola will officiate.
There will be a prayer service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison.
Burial will be in Alexander-Harper Cemetery in Unionville.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.

William E. Pucci
GENEVA - William E. Pucci, 77, of South Broadway, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at the Rae-Ann Nursing Home, Geneva.
He was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Geneva, the son of Bruno and Florence (Cooper) Pucci and had been a Geneva resident all of his life.
He married Phyllis Hurtt on Sept. 29, 1946, in Geneva.
Mr. Pucci worked as chief at the Geneva Police Department, retiring in 1980, after 25 years of service.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Mr. Pucci was a member of the United Church, Geneva; American Legion George Call Post 124, Geneva; founder of the Fraternal Order of Police Lakeshore Lodge 113; Italian Sons and Daughters of Ashtabula; and a former member of the Geneva Kiwanis Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and liked all sports.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Dennis of Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren, David, William and Robert; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James.
Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Donald E. Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. Chaplain Jim Cunningham of Rae-Ann Nursing Home will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling hurs are 12:30 to 2:30 and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Veterans of Foreign Wars service will be held following calling hours.

Irene Light
GENEVA - Irene Light, 73, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home in Geneva.
She was born on October 22, 1929 in Chardon, OH.
Survivors include three children, Kenneth Light of San Diego, CA, Timothy Light of Antioch, CA, and Patricia Post of Madison; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Lee Harris of CA; and two brothers, Albert Pulsifer of CA, and Gordon Pulsifer of CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Light, Jr.
A Dinner in her honor will be served at the family home, 1984 Green Road, Madison, OH, on Sunday, July 27, 2003, at 2 p.m.
